When I was looking at the information about the Mazdaspeed MX-5 A-Spec Touring Kit, it was called the Mazda Roadster A-Spec Touring Kit.

I know they can be called MX-5, Eunos or Roadster, I just thought that was strange.
They used the japanese descriptions as base for the rest of the ones and... that typo happened.;)
 
Seattle2000, a unknown track (found messing the track values) shows extremely incompleted textures, and crashes the game as soon who the game says START!.

Not sure if late reply or something, but my thoughts of seattle2000 is that it is the Seattle Circuit used in GT2000. Hence the name seattle2000. Also, I got around at getting through l_20 track. I may upload a video. It seems to be a license track...

hey,guys,please,help me :D

i want to port all the gt2 cars to the standart formats,for next using in the different games,but i have only one problem...i cant get textures!
i mean,i have them,they are in the cdo and cno files,but i can't wiew them!
i tried to use TiledGGD but its too difficult for me,because i'm Russiaan,and can't translate some therms,and all i got in this programm is grey-purpule textures with wide sizes.
then i tried psxe_vram_viewer,but i have no idea how to use it...
and,yes,i have psx emulator to launch the game...

please,help me to get textures in normal colours and formats! :3
 
Is it against the AUP to explain these things? If anyone can clarify this for me, that would be great.

what do you mean as AUP?
how i understand,this might be against the rules,to tell me about how to do this,yes?
well,i've just searched all the internet,and didn't get any instructions for me=(
so,if it's against the rules,i have no idea how to get this textures...and,why if it against the rules,we have this topic(forum part about hiddens i mean)?
 
Discussion of emulation is against the rules, or the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) of GTPlanet. The AUP was agreement you approved of when creating an account to contribute to the site.

Tinkering and inspecting the files on a game you own, for personal use, is okay (but a gray area).
 
Thanks for clarifying Pupik! So it should be okay to post the instructions for this.

Here you go Ferrari GT:

The .cdo and .cno files are the car models. The files you'll want to look into are the .cdp and .cnp files.

The layout of the files are as following:

Top of the file: Palettes
Bottom of the file: Textures

In TiledGGD, open one of the .cdp/.cnp files and you'll get the palettes/textures up, but you won't be able to properly see them just yet. The palette's should appear near the bottom right.

Use the arrow keys left/right to adjust the size of the picture. You can use the W key to adjust the resize amount aswell. Some files will have different sizes, so you'll need to experiment with the resizing to get a proper image.

Once you've got an image, let's make sure we get the correct format. Use the B key until the format says 4bits/pixel in the top right info box. Use P to change the palette order to BGR if it isn't.

To go through the palettes, use the Home and End keys to go through them. Home will go up, End will go down. You'll know when part of the cars textures is appearing correctly when the texture is in it's right colors. The first texture is always the tire rim, aswell as the first palette entry. You can then print screen and edit to your liking, then moving to the next palette.

hmmm,i was know it,but i had seen so many screenshots in this theme,that was taken not in the original ps1,so i thinked there is no criminal,if i will say true about my files...
mabye this sounds strange,but i still dont understand,why telling the instructions about programm using or taking game files converted is against the rules.i think,there is no context of launching the game ,only file using in my personal way,how you said...

hahah,guys,naw i have different problem,everything works great,but i can't get needable(i mean right) colour palette,i can see any colours of rainbows,but not right :D
what may i do not right?)
