So, what's the best JGTC car? Need to buy one for the event, really don't know anything about JGTC so I have no preference.

Damn, I wish my Bob would finish up his 4 hour Nurburgring enduro right about now...these new seasonals sound like a blast.

events look fun, especially the Golf and the JGTC ones, and I have my eye on the Nomad Diablo in the online dealership as well :)

From the thread in the proper forum: ;)

This might not end up being much of an accomplishment, but I was able to beat HSR with a bone-stock-from-the-showroom Castrol TOM's Supra '97 with just a couple changes to the settings.

Allthough I still have the last event to do, does it seem like all this events can be done with the stock car? not even an oil change. So far I have completed the first four comfortably without any extra parts. Maybe PD have changed it so the more experienced drivers can drive and win the events with the stock cars, but not so experienced drivers or people looking to just get some quick cash and xp can simply upgrade their car to their needs. Catering for both demographics :)

You can't win the challenger at Daytona stock. I was driving my ass off and losing time to the leader...

Just went back to check on the car that I had used to win it, I had the car before the seasonal event came along, and it seems I had used it before because it has some racing tires on it :ouch:. Still had no extra mods apart from that though.. might have to try and see for myself if the race can be done with stock tires

They should keep it unrestricted. Makes grinding bearable.

You mean, keeps it easy? A little competition is supposed to be there, why else buy a racing game when you know you will win every race. Finished em al in an hour. Already had most of the cars though. 3M extra to buy all the missing SGT cars in de new OCD.

Time to get 1 million credits again.

3.5 million, total. I've got to start spending some of those credits - I hit the 20,000,000 mark winning the first of the new events! I went and bought cars for all the events (except the JGTC event, since I've already got that covered) and did the mods I want to try, then did the VW Golf at the 'Ring (hard race tires, Stage 1 lightening, ECU tune, and racing air filter). Won by 15 seconds. Shoulda gone with Sports Softs... Back up to 19.997 million credits again. Time to go shopping some more!

The i-MiEV race is actually pretty fun. Softer tires and some lightening is all you can really do (suspension too, if you want; I didn't bother). All the cars are slow, but it's fun to try to overtake them anyway.

Just checked and they are up same format no tuning restrictions again.

I chose the 76 Mark I GTI for the 'Ring challenge (happened to have one available in my UCD). It was so much fun, finished about 9 seconds ahead after a dirty lap (golf was fully upgraded/tuned....I am not that fast of a driver :))

The JGTC race on the High Speed Ring has a nice GT4 driving mission feeling... If the car remains stock of course.

NSX is a good pick :D

I just finished all 5 events. They were extremely easy without much modifications to the cars. I used the Lambo for the High Speed Ring.

Oh no. Why did I open the forum just now. Want to play these events but have to go to Job. And what is even more worse I couln't afford the Chaparral 2J Race Car '70 yet which seems to be gone from the online dealership. Damn, my day doesn't start good. :)

Anyway great word PD!

The GT500 event is great fun and pretty intense in a stock car. I used my UCD Woodone Supra that's only had an oil change on race hards , first try I lost by .03 seconds , it was like half a car length at the line !!

I love stuff like that :)

Didn't try it stock, but w/ an extra 60hp & racing softs I lapped the 12th place guy. These were by far the easiest seasonal events yet (until the next series..lol)

Not saying you shouldn't do it how you want, but you do realize that upgrading tires (especially to anything in racing) is one of the most potent upgrades you can do right? I mean significantly better tires probably does more for you than turning on SRF...

No offense or anything, it just seems I see a lot of people surprised at how easy the challenge are when all they did was upgrade tires.
