Sebastien Vettel challenge: all gold

Yea monza was a breeze for bronze took me maybe 3 4 tries, just cut the curbs all you really need to do, get that S section after the back straight down and cut the curbs heavily there just not too fast or too heavy else the car wants to go into the sand for a dq should fly thru the last of the S curves in like 4th gear flat out to barrel down the straight, but do that should get bronze or better if you work at it some.

Wait till you get to sazuka that track will make you want to break stuff. Took me a full day just to shave off enough to get bronze by a second.....

Golded nurburg earlier with a 2:07.7xx., now on to suzuka but that will be this weekend lol, my arms are sore from that race lol. Seeing those carbon fiber x1 is making me not want to quit...and the eagles pulled out a tough one in new york earlier today so that was a big motivation for me too lol.

Any tips for nurburg? Last one i need to lest bronze. Got my time down to 2:18 and getting better slowly. But time for bob to grind his b-spec tonight.

Never hit the kerbs. Not only will they slow you down, they will cause you snap oversteer as well.

There are three fundamental corners that have to be taken near perfectly to make a good lap time:

1) Castrol-S (corner 1): Make sure you position the X1 near the outside kerb, shift all the way to down and take it at 110-120 km/h trying to be as close to the inside apex as you can, that way you can accelerate all the way out of it. Afterwards, just try to keep your speed at 220-230 on the next left corner.

2) Dunlop-Kehre (corner 8): Try to brake as late as you can. Since you're going to hit it at 5th gear and over 320, you'll have to downshift all the way to 1st gear and 170. Make sure that maneuver leaves you close to the outside of the corner and then accelerate as fast as you can to the inside apex.

3) Veedol (corner 14 and 15): This ones, especially 14, you'll have to go over the kerbs, making sure that you don't brake on top of them, nor make any kind of harsh acceleration. Downshift all the way to 1st and brake to 100, take it in the most straight line that you can, and accelerate once you're over the kerb in corner 15. You can make it out of Veedol at 180.

I got 1557 HP, top speed on a draft is 312MPH, alone on a straight is 306MPH

That's with oil change right? I've yet to do one of my X1's, as they're fast enough as they are x)

306 MPH is about 490 km/h right? That's pretty insane, I've got to try it out x).

Does it give you a much faster acceleration as well? With my stock X1 I can pull a 2:10 lap on Sarthe 2009, with that power I think I can pull an under 2:00 lap.

Before i drove it i did an oil change, added the stability kit, lowered the downforce to the least possible setting to max out the HP and did speed test, you can reset the downforce back once you're done testing.

Gotta try that then, thanks 👍

If you want to sqeeze every horse power from your X1 car then Do not change oli! It's better to do engine renovation. Cost 500.000 i know it hurts but you got oil change for free. And you do not have to pay for it again.

Thanks 👍 I may wait until I finish grinding for the Ferrari F2010 then.

If anybody has 2 S.Vettel X1's what do I have to do for one?

PM me for trade or even cash.

I really can't do this challenge. Its breaking me.

Or if somebody can give me an S.Vettel X1 I'll use it to get lv35 Bspec and then send you it back. I'll give you some cars for being nice :)

I had three X1, or now after the latest patch they all called X2010, maybe i will sell mine for like 1/3 of it's prize because you can buy one in Gt Shop. The Prize tag for the new with color you will chose not the RedBull one is 20.000.000

My advice is just to go to level 35 in B spec mode and that's it. Reward is Red Bull X 2010

@ussr earning the x1's from the a-spec challenge earns respect from your a-spec peers. Simply going for lvl 35 b-spec proves a few points that I will not mention. Those who've earned silver and gold in the vettel challenge really know the cars limitations. The first thing I look at is a-spec and b-spec levels straight away to see if you "earned" the car or let Billy BOB get it for ya!

While getting it the hard way earn props cause it is not an easy challenge, lets face it it is a hard hard challenge, maybe not so much bronze cause that time is within the realm of reason for most people, but still even that time is difficult to hit given you have to to do 2 nearly flawless lap pushing the car to it's limits and not mess up and not let off at all, you put in a great lap one the 2nd lap is that much harder when in the back of your mind your thinking i cannot mess up yet at the same time your thinking i gotta go fast. :P

If some people have to get it via level 35 so be it but just do it rather than asking to borrow other people's cars. That does get annoying since you have asked 3 times, keep working n the vettle challenge for bronze, or use that FTG and minolta or whatever to grind b-spec if your ready to just give up.

That the good point. And I'm not going to argue with that 👍 Lets face it, there are easy tasks in GT5 like licence, but Vettel Separate drivers and put them in different shelve.

Consistency is my biggest issue on this course. Sure I've done gold worthy turns on all the corners in this course (GP/F)... just not in the same run. ha. My lowest lap time is 1:06.xxx (which I've gotten on both the first and second laps) so I've gotta shave off a little over two seconds. Oi. My hands are crippled.

Try not to worry if your first lap is 1:04.0xx or 1:04.1xx. As long as you can make your second lap below 1:03.8xx it's good enough for gold. Trust me, most second laps attempts I did were always below 0.2 - 0.4 seconds below my first lap times, so it's a good mark to attempt.

I had a hell of a time trying to get my first lap under 1:04.000 and eventually just gave up all together.

I'll admit I am using B Spec to get X2010 so I can then practice. Just hate having to restart every time. I'd like to be able to do 50 laps if I wanted to. A Spec 22 B Spec 30

Thanks for the tip lestatdark. I'll aim for that then. For now, I'm gonna stick with the bronze that I just got. Got one on Monza too (much easier). Suzuka is gonna be a major pain in the butt. I already don't care much for the course. And it has a technical level of difficulty much higher than the other two courses.

Loving the amount of exp you get for these events though. It's definitely deserved.

Edit:

I did the challenge with all golds! Got three X1's. The basic, one white and the last was the carbon one. Feel free to ask proof

Oh and dude, you're a beast. Anyone who can get golds on this deserves major props. How much time did you put in?

Well i like sazuka generally, just it is a royal pain trying to push that car that hard and navigate that track. Your reactions and etc have to be so fast and precise through all the technical sections and the whole challenge forces you to drive the car in a way where your tires would be demolished after one lap nevermind two.

Did get bronze on all three, without trying much on monza pretty sure i could silver or maybe gold that one since i got that in like 4 attempts flat, but the other two are far harder since there is no real cheat to use, like you can on monza, and the dq system is so funky in the whole challenge some curbs you can hit others you get a wheel slightly over and your done for, nevermind that some off areas of the track are fine but most will dq you instantly.

Thanks for the tips in thread, pretty much was doing it right on nurburg but really had to push it a tad harder to get a bronze time, not as demanding a track as suzuka less tricky sections to navigate just pushing the car to the edge in each and every bend is the hard part to get a handle on, really have no clue how some of you can monitor your speed steer and shift the car and watch the track at the same time, the bloody thing is just so inhumanly quick. Me i just gofor a gear and try to keep the car moving as fast as i can in that gear without overshooting the track.

You're welcome :). Suzuka really is a major pain in the butt, especially since the most important part is to get the esses all the way until Dunlop corner correctly. You can easily lose 3-4 seconds in that sector alone if you just screw up on the line.

Took me a lot of hours just to get a good first lap.

For me it was 2 days for bronze, 2 days for silver, and 2 days for all gold. These are 4-5 hour sessions also! Read the tips before you enter the track. Keep the car flat on the pavement. On every course I found only 2 spots to gain on the ghost. Wether it's cutting chicanes or braking super late and just nailing the corner perfect!

I've just completed them now. Took a solid 2 hours to do all 3, the first one taking the most of my time.

Monza and Suzuka I golded on my first clean lap, although at suzuka it took me a good half an hour or so to actually put in the two consecutive clean laps required.

What's brilliant, is I just jumped 4 and a half levels in 2 hours, that would have literally took me days to get by grinding endurance races.

I also have 3 nice X1's sat in my garage, including a red one which I had no idea existed. :odd:

Funny i went back to sazuka and dunno the curbs are not all bad that s section i can seem to cut some time by kissing the curbs at the start, and obviously that last chicane on the track you have to blast that out curb to get a good time, that last chicane was the hardest nut for me to even get a handle on since you got to get all the way around the track to get it it, then if you got a good time up till that point your thinking, i cant blow this section......so you end up being overly conservative through it.

The reruns make it much more easy to let it all hang out and not get frustrated when you mess up, if you already trophied em all.

No need to proof. You are From Finland, and thats explains a lot ;) But the Red X2010 os something i not believe unless i see one. Or wait i saw one in Gt Shop but for 20.000.000 that's insane to entirely empty your account.

The only thing that bugs me a little bit is Monza I'm over 1sec past gold and the other 2 less than 0.1 past gold. Monza is too easy with chicane cutting.
