I want that one:

every single brazilian knows this cheesy tune, since the days of our first triple world champion: Piquet... after all this years, this song still give me chills

btw, this song is so powerful for us, that even the first victory of Barrichello in F1 was overshadowed by the chance of hear the 'Theme of Victory' again

i REALLY hope PD included this for the LATAM edition of GT6 if you Gold any of the F1 events...

Does anyone knows the Ralt F3 spec? Just curious.

"Formula 3 has a very long tradition, especially in Britain where the 500cc racing movement of the late 1940s grew into the international Formula 3. Formula Junior took its place in the late 1950s but it was reintroduced in 1964 for 1000cc engines. This was changed to 1600cc in 1971 and then 2000cc in 1974. It is still running to broadly the same formula today."

Looks like it would've been about 2000cc displacement, with a 24mm air inlet...

"2000cc normally aspirated stock block engines with a 24mm air inlet."

My guess is around 200 hp, with 400 kg. (weight confirmed by site)

Confirmed, 200 hp, 550 kg.

Wow. I bet it sounds like the X2014 Junior :) which is nice I think.

Of course, it has much, much less downforce, isn't a turbocharged boxer, and doesn't necessarily have to be a 4 cylinder... at least, not according to the regulations I've found so far.

So, I think it's safe to say it actually is nothing like the X2014 Junior, and will actually sound like this:

Little, angry hornets.

They're normally aspirated, small-displacement and high-revving. This creates more of a buzz sound than the sound of a boxer...

They are stock block production engines correct? I'm guessing they don't rev much over 10,000 rpm and maybe not even that.

You must be new to the series, in all likelihood it will sound more like this.

High-revving compared to street engines, yes. Except Honda. Forget Honda. And especially high-revving compared to diesel...

Edit: I looked back at the Wikipedia page... They run at least 7400 RPM.

I would have guessed 8-9000 at best. It was the early 80's after all:lol:

There were some engines running more RPM than that, surely... However, I will cede that my preliminary guesses of about 10,000 RPM might be too high. I'm guessing 8500... Which is still out of the realm of most street cars, giving them the buzzy sound.

Edit: It's just kinda a trademark of low-displacement, high-revving engines...

Makes the current 13-14k seem not so bad. Still, I already long for the days of the 19k rpm v12 banshee's, the most incredible sound my ears have ever heard (and that's not likely to ever change).

It was low hanging fruit, I admit, but someone had to knock it from the tree. (I'm well aware that @ITCC_Andrew isn't new around here, I was just cracking wise)

Yes, of course. I'm just hoping they get it close to right, it would be great while racing in a field of identical cars and the replays would be awesome.

Doubt that they even considered it, since it is something hard to license (the tune is Globo property).

And, to be honest, nothing more ridiculous than playing a videogame with this thing in the background. But it is my opinion, don't yell at me.

That's your opinion. Personally, I think any kind of soundtrack is unnecessary on a simulator - but as PD wanted to do a tribute, nothing better than remembering Senna's achievements with the 'Theme of Victory'.

btw, this would be a great marketing...
