SENNA_P_3_360...The first race of the season was once again held in Brazil. Senna qualified in third place, but had to retire midway through. In the next race in San Marino, he finished second, but in Belgium two weeks later, he collided with Nigel Mansell, and was forced to retire for the second time in three races...

SENNA_P_3_380...In Monaco, Nigel Mansell suffered turbo trouble which forced him to retire, allowing Senna to take the victory. Then, in Detroit, Senna seized upon further difficulties experienced by the Brit to claim his second win in a row...
SENNA_P_3_390...After four races, therefore, Senna was level with Alain Prost at the top of the Drivers' Championship standings. However, he failed to win any more races, and the Championship became a two-horse race between the Williams drivers....
