Who? Sony?

If they used Sony, then yes. If they used somebody else, then them.

Do we have any evidence that it was a Sony team that translated it? Whoever it was, they weren't very good. I don't think the name they went by changes much of anything.

One thing I've always been curious about is whether their is a sort of divide in Brazil between people who like Senna and people who like Piquet.

I'd count Fittipaldi there, too

Emerson is loved by everyone. (Except Castroneves, I guess :))

But Piquet's and Senna's fans always fight each other. The extremists in both sides are unbearable people.

All this rivalry between the two and their followers (and it is as huge as it is idiotic) started when Piquet insinuated that Senna was gay because Senna said on the press, right after he won the 88's championship, that the "journalists should talk to Nelson, who was feeling lonely because nobody was interested in interview him".

Even after Senna's death, Piquet said that he was better than Senna because he was/is alive.

The popular theory about why Senna flame baited the whole thing was because he believed, with some evidence, that Nelson vetoed him on Brabham before he got the deal with Toleman.

And, yes, there are lots of people here who thinks that Piquet is the number one.

We don't have evidence either way, but I think it's a pretty safe bet that a developer that's part of Sony would use the in house team to do it. But as I've been saying they don't do the marketing, why would PD check the translation? That's not what a developer does.

All I was getting at is that it seems people aren't allowed to critique or point out mistakes in anything here without somebody coming along and defending whoever is responsible. Yes, sometimes people are flat out moaning and whining but show me some genuine critisism on this forum and you can guarantee someone will come along and defend it no matter what.

Mistakes were made, people pointed them out. Let one go every once in a while. So what if some people attributed blame at the wrong people? I'm pretty sure PD aren't going to be filing lawsuits for defamation any time soon.

I'd just like to point out that someone replied to my original post, not the other way around. I wasn't going after anyone I was just pointing out that it was a mistake to level the blame at PD in this case.

This wasn't genuine criticism, which was my point all along. I don't see why I'm the one who would have to let it go as it was someone else to turned into a debate. Had someone else "let it go" it would have ended with my first post.

I'm sorry? Who has a massive localization department? PD or Sony? Is PD part of the localization department? Do all of Sonys devs work as there own localization team? Your post doesn't just prove my point it IS my point.
PD has little to nothing to do with localization. They send their txt to a loc group, that group translates, Sony then proofs it, then it gets returned to the developer for integration and released.

Media is even easier as it has nothing to do with the developer.

It's a very simple process. Every game and marketing of said game goes through the same process.

Miss spelling a name and using bad grammar is another tell tail sign GT 6 isn't a priority to Sony right now.

With the Monaco GP coming up this weekend and update not long after.
Could a redesigned cote 'd azur be coming, say a wet version?
Only because Senna was so good round there and in wet conditions.
I can see it now,toleman hart,pouring rain in GT6.:D

Keep imanging it, cause that's as close you'll get to it.

Although I really don't see why it'd be so hard to include a weather variation Azur.

I was thinking about this last night, and the fact that we're getting a JPS Liveried Lotus F1 car isn't what's bothering people, it's just that it doesn't seem to fit as I've said before. I think it'd fit a Mario Andretti Mini-Pack better, you know?

His Hudson, a JPS Lotus, and his old Nascar (i'd kill for some old 70's Nascars) But it just seems... cheap or odd to say the least to include 2 out of 3 cars that people don't connect Senna with.

tl:dr The cars aren't what people are complaining about, it's how they're doing it by saying it's a Senna DLC and not including the car(s) he's known with.

^ ^ ^ ^ ^ THIS ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

The next tribute DLC needs to be based on Mario Andretti!

This was just posted to Gran Turismo's facebook account. Shows actual in game footage:

Someone has to know which tracks the 3 different cars are being shown on.

Kart - Stowe circuit at Silverstone
Ralt F3 - Brands Hatch
Lotus 97T - Monza

The one in the kart, Silverstone Stowe, second one is brands hatch, and the third one idunno. Only a few days left! :D And VGT this friday! Yey

At the end of the trailer it says May 2014. Not May 27, 2014.. is this a sign of a delay? Or is it just me acting up?

PS: Haven't seen this trailer before it got hotfixed.

Not necessarily. Its just coming out this month, already assured by the in-game data showing the car and course are there but they haven't been unlocked yet.

Ah, too bad it's not something new. Still exciting.
I think you'll see Interlagos as the final track for GTAcademy too though, and Brands Hatch and Monza are new, they are redoing them in their 80's configuration.

What really surprises me is that the kart track isn't Kartodromo du Interlagos, the track at the start of the opening video.

Stowe is a compact track for cars but for a 100CC direct drive kart it's way too big and wide open. Those types of karts are usually geared for a top speed of 60-80 mph and have blistering acceleration. On Stowe they'll have to be geared really tall or they'll top out 1/3 of the way down the straight and that really hinders their acceleration. We need proper kart tracks!!!

Or a course maker at least.

At which tracks do people not have varying levels of experience?

On tracks that haven't been in the game before, like how last time it was Silverstone and before it was Motegi, and all though it wasn't new to the franchise, it was at least new to the game engine/system. Like doing it at Spa, some people will have been driving that track a lot in the game and some people haven't. I really don't understand why they would do that. Especially because they were "finishing up some stuff" at Interlagos a few months ago.

It doesn't really matter. The cream will always rise to the top, in fact usually even moreso as the best drivers tend to adapt to a new track even faster than the not so quick guys.

Who was "finishing up some stuff" at Interlagos?

When/where? I don't understand why they would do a track people already have varying levels of experience on, gives some people an advantage.

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/2014-final-round-practice-combo-leaked-gt-r-gt3-spa.309054/

You have the same opportunity as the next guy to get as much practice in as you can before it starts, no excuse really. If its a track that you personally don't have a lot of experience on, well now here is your chance. Its all about adapting, there is no advantage really, especially now being the content for the final round has been leaked. Everybody has pretty much the same amount of time to prepare, no excuses.

Senna content without cars that he won the F1 World championship!! (MP4/4) (MP4/5B) (MP4/6)
PD is blind or ist me?? :dunce::(

Maybe you aren't aware of the exclusive license Simraceway has with the Mclarens, starting with those cars.
