Why imagine? I've been doing that for 22, soon to be 23 years(that's if this dang GT7 releases this year).Imagine buying a console for only a single game.

I'm amazed that quite a few others have done this too; I thought I'd likely be the only one who's bought consoles for GT alone. Why imagine? I've been doing that for 22, soon to be 23 years(that's if this dang GT7 releases this year).
No, I am not paying any price for GT7. I paid over $400 just to play GT Sport and
That you think that meeting some engineers and someone who you were related to selling them car parts is evidence of your "can do" attitude says an awful lot about you. You don't know what can do is, you just like it when other people can do it for you. And you get confused when they tell you that something is hard or impossible, because you're not willing to expand your knowledge enough to understand basic principles that might lead to a more effective and nuanced appreciation of the situation.
Which is exactly the point I was making when I said that you're every scientist and engineer's worst nightmare of a boss. People like you watch the video I posted and think "yeah, they just need to try harder and think outside the box a little more". The engineers and scientists who do the work watch the video and think "wow, that's spot on, this is giving me anxiety".
You don't know enough about AI and computers to make an informed judgement. So either educate yourself or stop trying. At the moment you're on the level of a child saying "I want it I want it".
I get my information on basic fundamentals of computers from 40 years of using the things. If I'm wrong and current computer systems are in fact completely capable of making complex determinations of causation and fault with a high rate of accuracy from a set of text rules then feel free to point me to where I can learn more about that, because I'd like to use those systems in my professional life. But I don't think you can.
You don't answer questions, but I can answer yours. I fix my MX5 myself, because I enjoy it and I have the ability to do so. I take my Volvo to the local mechanic because it's a workhorse and I value spending my free time on other things. Like the MX5.
Choosing to get a professional to do something for you isn't evidence of a lack of can do attitude, it's evidence that I can correctly assess that my time is better spent doing other things than working on a car. I'm not on minimum wage trying to scrape every last penny, something that you learn as you rise through the ranks is that sometimes it's more efficient and effective to get someone else to do the work even if you could do it yourself. And while local Joe is fixing my car (and doing a damn fine job, because he's a good mechanic) I can use my specialised skills to do the things that make me good at what I do. We both win.
You would seem to be a mechanic of some sort, so tell me this. Why don't we all have flying cars? That seems like something that was pretty common in futuristic media back in the day, so clearly there's a desire for it. Why aren't they a common thing? Why can't you make me a flying car? Not enough can do attitude? Or are there good reasons why flying cars aren't a thing even though they are on paper technically possible?
Or the ones that were desperate for a job stayed, despite not liking you. You don't sound like you have a real strong grasp on what motivates people either. Having the money to afford food and a roof over your head is more important than working for someone who has a grasp of reality. Plenty of people will put up with working for a 🤬 boss in order to have a job.
The thing is we previously had a better version of the penalty system, PD just refuses to revert to it for some reason. The penalty system is so bad right now that PD could hardly get more wrong.
I was going to address a few of the PC comments but I’ll just say hobbies can get expensive gentlemen, depends how far you want to take it.
Gaming is cheap entertainment if you look at other options, just spent 14 grand on my other love, a new motorcycle.
Good friend has almost 10 grand invested in drones and RC helicopters.
Gaming is fantastic value for dollar.
I love Gran Turismo but don't limit myself to that alone... Why should I?Jesus christ, do you guys just... not play other video games?
I play GTA V(offline), PC2, AC1, ACC(just stopped. Waiting for that GT4 DLC ).Jesus christ, do you guys just... not play other video games?
Does anyone think it's a bit odd that you have to shell out $500 to play GT7? Not to mention, $60 for the game?
Exactly. When I worked at a Mazda dealership, know what the number one complaint was? "My iPhone doesn't work with this car. "Go drive around on your weekend toy for a month and tell me how much u spent...once yo do the math, you are overthinking it.
Especially when you consider how much phones cost these days. I guess you're paying for the portability.Anyway, consoles used to be $300 brand new and I thought was a lot to pay, just to play video games. Consoles are cd/DVD/Blu-ray players, HD/digital movie channel boxes, radio/music docks, app stations and of course, video game stations. $500 is a bargain.
Definitely. Face timing, balancing finances, searching info, playing games, photography, videography, watching all types of content, voice commands, phone "talks back". Like you said, all that in your pocket. Amazing.Especially when you consider how much phones cost these days. I guess you're paying for the portability.
Let me get this straight you bought a 400$ consoleNo, I am not paying any price for GT7. I paid over $400 just to play GT Sport and I am properly livid about the PS4 only getting this one GT title. Every previous PlayStation has received 2 (or more) Gran Turismo games/prologues. Polyphony Digital can kiss my rich rear end because I'm a smart shopper who is taking his money elsewhere. And after the way GT Sport played out, there will be no love lost whatsoever.
Each to their own but it boggles the mind that anyone would buy a console just for one game, missing out on so many fantastic experiences.. The Last Of Us (1+2) Red Dead, GTA..the list is endless, not to mention other fantastic driving games like Dirt 2.0, Driveclub (PS4’s greatest racer)
I will most likely buy 1 or 2 games for PS5 and they will be racing games only. Each to their own but it boggles the mind that anyone would buy a console just for one game, missing out on so many fantastic experiences.. 500$ is very normal...For a Beast of a Console !
I literally bought a Xbox One for Forza.Imagine buying a console for only a single game.
Yes, I play Gran Turismo Sport exclusively. I've owned each Playstation console & played Gran Turismo exclusively....do you guys just... not play other video games?
A more diplomatic label for my gaming would be atypical....its (sic) frankly very weird to get a console and only play one game.
Would be cool if MS actually showed 1 second of gameplay and gave an indication of the games direction. Hopefully not the rumoured story mode. Seems even with Ray Tracing they’ve stuck to their accustomed colour palette.I bought PS4 for GT Sport and will do same for GT7
I really do hope the game improves now looking at Forza 8.
