I'm hearing the Shooter was "a White Woman wearing a dark headscarf ", used a handgun, was reported to be down with a chest wound. No word on any fatalities. Reports are that two people were shot (both serious, one of them may be dead) and others were injured (possibly because people were stampeding out of there). Will wait for details, this honestly could be anything from a jealous member of a love triangle to a terrorist attack at this point. If she is indeed dead then we may never know the motive at all.

I see... this event is similar to other shootings because...
it was perpetrated by an individual who, in light of the incident, probably shouldn't have had access to a firearm.

While the circumstances of the incident aren't known at this time, going into a place of business with a firearm and the intent to use it against a person or people inside is not rational, and likely cannot be rationalized on examination.

Good points, also it was reported in the news, like others, and people were harmed, and it happened in America, and it was human-on-human crime... lots of similarities now that I think about it. This really has happened a gazillion times! I guess we really can rush to conclusions and lump it in with anything that our particular pre-determined agenda suggests.

I'm given to understand the shooter and the victims--indeed everyone in the building--all have round necks.

Coincidence or conspiracy?

That’s just incredibly ignorant, considering San Banerdino, Pulse, Sandy Hook, Boston Marathon, and numerous other shootings/terrorist attacks happened under Obama’s presidency.
Right, but the fact that gun-related mass murders have been on the rise in a government that is against any form of gun control is enough to make me say Trump's America.

I'm conservative-leaning, but the one thing that I hate about my party more than anything is this unconditional love for guns, as if guns can do no wrong. The fact that the Trump Administration didn't listen to a damn word from any of the Parkland teens, or even do the slightest thing to help prevent mass murders from happening is sickening.

Trump just tweeted now saying "thoughts and prayers to those affected" but that is not enough. Ban certain types of assault rifles, have much more strict background checks, and enforce the gun laws that we have already, then I'll be happy.

If you haven’t already noticed, Trump doesn’t make the laws, that’s what the LEGISLATIVE branch is for. Be pissed that they care more about stuff that doesn’t pertain to a majority of Americans.

Violence started to rise before Trump was in office. Keep trying though.

It's never a good idea to rush a piece of legislation through just so you can say you are doing something. Especially when it's something as complex as any gun control reform bill would be.

So which one of those would prevent this incident from happening?

What's sickening to me is the level of discourse here. "Mass murder"... uh... where? I see "four wounded" being reported. Maybe it'll be a mass murder when the dust settles but right now you're not in a thread about a mass murder. And what does this have to do with a school shooting? You jumped right past disgruntled employee, employee with a specific dispute with specific people within the building, terrorism, someone who was fired, someone who has issue with content on youtube (maybe a parent of a child who was bullied into suicide via youtube for example). Give your imagination some room to consider possibilities.

Nope... knee-jerk... trump... guns....

We've had 17 school shootings this year already in America. Need I say more?

Yes.... for one... this isn't a school shooting.

There were 17 INCIDENTS with a firearm at a school, but there were NOT 17 shootings to the extent of parkland or even just a few injuries/deaths.
This. I would like a source on this though.

Burden of proof is on you. Back up what you're saying.
