To be honest, I don't find the Veyron special at all.
I mean it is an engineering masterpiece, but I'd much rather drive the LP670-4 SV as the Veyron just seems heartless and too cold for me.
I don't know if that sounds weird or not lol.
It doesnt sound weird. I understand what you mean. You want a car to have passion character and flare , like the LP670 and it should also have its good and bad sides.
The Veyron is more like a souless cold calculated killer
A lot of people think like you.
But exaclty what you dont like about the car is what I like and appreciate it for.
I feel like its as IF I gave the orders to design the car the way it is
. Just a ruthless approach to a controlled form speed and power
I remember when the veyron was in early development, people were dissmissing it as a failure based on some supposed specs they had heard about the car. They didn't like its stray from the regular supercar layout.
Howevever I remember suporting it and saying I really dont like all this shrapnel and crumbs light weight consutrction all the supercars are made of these days. They simply hide behind low weight low centre of gravity to produce good results.
I want a super car car to have masive tyres massive stabilty massive accelration and AWD, whislt being comfortable, now that would be a good super car.
Others laughed it off saying theres no way they are going to pull it off with such an approach.
There was a lot of speculation and talk on forums that it would turn out to be one big fat floppy elephant that no one would like, and would achieve little after, simply because we found out it was going to be heavy and cumbersome and AWD with such a big engine.
BUt it turned out to be the fastest super car WHILST retaining all the good characteristics of a luxury car. 👍
