3 engine radiators, 3 intercoolers, transmission fluid cooler, 1 engine oil cooler.
I was being slightly facetious. But when I first heard it had 10 radiators and weighs more than a family car I just laughed. It doesn't scream well designed. It screams "hmmm... this engine requires more cooling than we left space for... maybe we can shove a few more radiators in these gaps".
To me the Veyron is an example of what can be done with a lot of money, not an example of a good car. It weighs 1880kg for goodness sake, you could probably build a car of similar weight based around a 2000hp Rolls Royce Merlin
If you want to go fast around a track, buy a track car, it'll beat a Veyron any day of the week at maybe a twentieth the price. If you want to go 400kmh in a street car... why do you want to go 400kmh in a street car?
Buy a Hennessy 1000 rear wheel horsepower twin turbo Viper or a Weineck Cobra. I am a bit biased in the fact IMO most expensive supercars are a wank anyway. If I had a billion dollars to burn, my garage would have a lot of awesome cars in it, the Veyron would not be one... but then again very few of them would cost more than $300k anyway (except maybe a few rare classics).
That's my opinion as someone who loves race cars, I dont expect others to agree. Hence why I used emoticons so as not to be taken seriously
That's one of the great things about cars, just because you dont like it doesn't mean others wont, and just because you like it doesn't make it any better than any other car.
