ingame, i will get the car, and prolly drive it a bit but i dont think its gonna be a car im gonna spend alot of time on.
however many people love the cockpit view.. i dont. i prefer the oldschool one without any car on it. best view

My personal opinion is that this is the most luxurious interior:

Bentley convertible

and this is the coolest:

Saab Aero-X concept

So these cars should deserve premium treatment only for their interior, but they are NOT even in the game!

Just be lucky Veyron even is in.

The McLaren F1 was no predecessor. Bugatti didn't build it. There is no predecessor to the Veyron really. Nothing has been built as a leadup to it or anything of the likes.

Have we already forgotten about the EB110? That car is pretty underrated for a supercar.

The intellectual property rights to the EB110 are unlikely to be owned by VW who obviously hold the rights to the Veyron. I don't know if VW have the rights to any of the original, proper Bugatti's either.

It's not. Lamborghini may have been owned by different companies over the years, but it was still the same staff in the same factory who built the cars no matter who had their name over the door.

Bugatti in the EB110 era were a bunch of Italians in Modena. Bugatti in the Veyron era are a bunch of Germans in France. Bugatti in the Bugatti era stopped building cars and started building trains and now currently build landing gear for aircraft. The three companies have nothing in common other than the badge they use. It's likely that all three companies, or owners of, hold the intellectual property rights to the vehicles that they made when they were 'Bugatti'.

Not really a mystery. They basically decided to upscale the psp version instead of modelling it from scratch, for whatever reason. DLC is our best hope of a premium veyron now.

VW do own the IP of the EB110, it may be different staff and a different factory but it's the same company as it were only it's now part of the VW group.

Well it is still strange that they did nto give a special treatment to this car since it is also historic because this car has won a lot of awards and even Car of the decade. Even Top gear Jeremy Clarkson later declared the Veyron quote:

"the greatest piece of engineering ever. No, I'm sorry, this is the greatest car ever made and the greatest car we will ever see in our lifetime."

Well maybe GT6 will show the premium version even the 2011 Veyron super GT the holder of the world record for fastest road car ever. Or a future patch for gt5, who knows. Anyway the MP4 12C will do it for now for me. That car is also gorgeous and powerfull.

By the way even if it is just a lame Standard car, i just hope they modeled its exterior well and also accurate physics. Well kinda sad they did not make a model of the engine like what they did with the premium cars. The engine of Veyron looks beautiful.

I was just asking about the Bugatti Veyron, not Bugatti as a company in general. I think the Veyron was built and engineered entirely by the VW group so technically and practically it's a German car. I could be wrong though.
