Agree with this point also. Still, going to have to get used to roof cam as well as cockpit cam pretty quickly.

I always use the 3rd person cam to see my hard-earned cars in their full glory. :D I mean I won't buy a Lambo or Ferrari just to drive them from the inside and not see them in action.

Did someone saw the video were they show the "red bull hangar-7" ??
The time spent modeling those places could be spent improving the other standard 800 cars i tink.....

PD' put too much effort on stuff less relevant... PHOTO MODE ?? .......n*** please !!!

While it's realistic to own a VW bus from the 60's and use it for racing on Nurburgring, amirite? :P Seriously it's a game;the whole point is to do things which you can't even dream of doing in real life.

I see what your saying but I still stick to my comment as cars like this just dont do it for me, my love for cars is for Street/Sports cars turned into race cars.

Modifying street cars is also a love not just hypercars/supercars

I think polyphony planned to make much more cars Premium (the veyron for example). But they just lacked the resources (and more time) to do this.

I can't see how they could possibly improve on those premium cars. Future GT-releases will probably get more content (tracks, condition & cars) up to this high standard. If they manage to do this, it will approach the perfect racing game.

I'm sorry but what? You seriously need to understand tact and knowing that PD are just showing Red Bull Racing a little respect. Look what's it's netted them, use of RBR expertise, and look at that the X1. Less relevant, I for one will never understand why people question motives, when the answer is painfully obvious. PD is all about building relationships, they have lots of relationship with many car manufacturers and it pays off as you see Gran Turismo plastered on a lot of things these days, active sponsorship of racing events and the like, allowed to design real cars, input on car designs...the list keeps growing. PD and GT have created a genre all their own, everyone else is just attempting to copy that.

Veyron should be premium, but a great many things could have caused them not to build one premium. Geez it's in the game for crying out loud, that's better than not being in the game. DLC who knows, maybe. It's a definite piece of auto history and will be premium in the next game, but for now something is better than nothing at all. I'm certain that the standard models look really good next to a premium, just missing that extra detail like raised door handles, individually modeled parts. It's all good as long as the physics hold up I will be playing until my PS3 breaks. Unless there is some game breaking glitch, lol.

Is it possible the Veyron interior is exclusive to Forza?

The reason is far simpler: They were trying to find ways to cut on the workload and since the Veyron, as the R8 LMS,the 2 Countach models and some others were already modeled to GT4 standards to be in GT PSP, they simply porte them over and the deal was closed, simple as that.

Now you'll say "but why is the Enzo or the GT-R Spec-V fully premium, both were also in GT PSP?" Simple: PD has very close relationships with both makes and they probably urged PD to make them premium or else they'd be pissed.

Think about it: All Ferraris are premium.......

Here's a picture of the Veyron posted in another thread:

Alright, I'm pretty much giving up on the logical explanation route...

How about this, though: if "no" is an unacceptable answer, why not make the poll say:

Should the Veyron be premium?

[ ] Yes

I am trying to directly oppose exactly the reason you seem to portray as it being a 'necessary premium', but you're focusing your reply on other parts of my post.

Simple version rephrased: This is a racing game. I do not think the Veyron is an important car in the racing world. Therefore, I have no more interest in driving it in a race than I do a Samba bus (which I'm looking forward to) or a tank car. Therefore, assuming resources would be spent in making it premium, I would not like those resources spent in that way. How about a premium LeMans Jag XJR from '88? Or another one from '90? Or a Meyers Tow'd? Or the greatest race car ever? (be sure to watch the on-board video!)

You said it 'best' yourself, my opinion does matter: "the long road is for people to realize their opinion does matter because they didn't make the game." :)

PD doesn't keep the car for 3-6 months while modeling the car. They only really need a day or two to take pics of the car, laser scan & record the sounds*.

Damn, that's my plans for breaking into the PD car park scuppered. Anyone want to buy a fleet of car transporters, low mileage?

There's no complaints of that if you voted yes in the poll because you like the veyron, but there are loads of complaints people saying it's not a good reason to vote no if you don't like veyron. What does that tell us?

Yep. I can't believe anyone would vote "no" when every new car should be of the highest standard.

To be honest, after recently playing GT1 & 2 again, for the first time in 5 or 6 years, i'd have been happy if the Veyron was in GT1 & 2 quality graphics. Even if you play in chase cam you'll be concentrating on the road ahead and not the car itself. in bonnet or even interior view you spend most of the time looking at the track infront of you. Replays? Not for me, i'd prefer to just get on with the game. Photomode? never even bothered with it. I'd have much rather had 1400 standard cars than 800 standard and 200 premium. Quantity not quality.

I would've loved to see the cockpit especially in GT5. I do believe that at some point after GT5 release we will get car updates similar to GT5P but where some of the standard models will receive premium treatment. But regardless whether that will happen or not, I know that unlike the Veryon in Forza 3 or SHIFT, the one in GT5 will have working air-brake. Nothing kills the realism of any car especially in replay when you don't see the spoiler rising up at 100kmh on the Audi R8 or in the case of the Veryon and the McLaren SLR, a working air-brake.

Who said I voted yes because I liked the Veyron. I voted on principle that all new cars should be of premium standard.

If PD couldn't make them all the same standard, then perhaps they bit off more than they can chew.

Quantity not quality.

Ah, so you like having 5,000 Skylines?

Yes, while I don't like it (its fugly), it certainly is a milestone in automobile history.
Theres no denying that and I really don't understand PDs decision to make it standard.

I wasn't pointing out anybody, but here's some picks from the lot:

Exactly,a perfect 'murder' machine which insensibly destroys everything. That's why I love it 👍

That's basically what I appreciate about it.

Love that car.

Yup, exactly how I feel, which is why im very unhappy its not a premium. It also seems like there aren't many people who "get" the Veyron...

It was going to try and make it my "it" car in gt5 with tuning. Hopefully the fastest production car in the game, with the chance of rivaling many race cars. But uhhh I'm not feeling its well represented in this game either.

That's why I'm not happy about the single, standard veyron situation.

So is this an objective poll after all?

Well, it's certainly not the best model i've ever seen but for a standard it's pretty awsome. Nfs shift did a better job though due to cockpit...gutted they did this to my beloved veyron, truely I am, we all thought it would be premium. But i'm determined to enjoy the game after such a long wait. Premium veyron as DLC anyone?...:D:P

I feel that as it is a HUGE milestone just like its Predessecor(sp?) the McLaren F1(also should be premium if in gt5)

The McLaren F1 was no predecessor. Bugatti didn't build it. There is no predecessor to the Veyron really. Nothing has been built as a leadup to it or anything of the likes. The F1 is premium, and so it should be.

Ah, so you like having 5,000 Skylines?

Like i said, the more cars the better. If that means for every Alfa GTA or Caterham Seven i have to have 30 'different' Skylines or S2000's (I've noticed in GT5 that the S2000 is the new '5000 Skylines') then so be it.

The Veyron and the bookend Countach's were all created originally for GTPSP which means they're little more than upscaled GT4 cars. They were probably documented and designed before a majority of GT5 or even GT5:P's vehicles were started.
