Do you think the U.S. should attack Iraq and other countries for the war on terrorism?

I think we should because someone has to do something to get rid of terrorism and who better than us who have the biggest military in the world.

No.

Km, you're just ****ing stupid. Sure lets just start an all out nuclear war. Are you that dumb? I expect only Americans to be that stupid.

.

Yes, unless there is a better way to oust the leaders and destroy the terrorist organization. I'm not for war but I am for eliminating terrorist. What I am worried about is that the terrorist will just pick up and move to another terrorist friendly country.
What I would really like to see is assasins backed by our Govt. to go in and take out the leaders of these organizations. Then as new leaders take over send them back in to do the same. Eventually they will be hard pressed to find anyone to take over.
You would think with our money and technology it would be easy to find someone and take them out.

I agree,... assasins would work. But may woruld argue the morality in it. But then,... is there morality in war?

Why do you think this country ever pulled out of Vietnam?

Contrary to popular belief, we did not lose the Vietnam War to Vietnam. We lost it under the threat of Chinese military forces helping Northern Vietnam forces.

We're scared as hell about China - they've got the most powerful military on Earth.

I don't want to go to war with anyone. I wish Bush would just leave other countries alone. He is governing enemys countries more than ours it seems to me.

I don't blame you for not wanting to go to war. Sometimes it's necessary unfortunatly.

No they don't. They have the greatest population on earth, which doesn't directly translate into millitary power. They are a powerfull country, but not more so than the U.S.

Japan kicked their ass for crissakes.

But the most important aspect is that neither China nor America wants to have a war. It would not be in either's best interest and would destabilize the whole world... and probably go nuclear.

It was a toss up for me between "No!" and "Who Cares!," but I had to choose "No!" because I simply cannot support anything that is gramatically incorrect....

You are talking in terms of the # of people in their military?

He has to be. What are the top 5 armies in the world? I think the US is the most powerful if you combine all the armed forces it has, but I remember hearing on the News(Mind you, it's American, so it has to be wrong because they always find a way to mess up) that North Korea has the 3rd largest army in the world....

I don't have to bring up the fact that that was sixty years ago when China's military wasn't as strong as Japan's, as well as the fact that Japan struck when China was ill-prepared yet when Japan was fully prepared for all possible options.

U.S.A. is the most powerful.

China ranks 4th

You're only referring to military budget with that link. Military budget in this country has several departments, and much of it has nothing to do with man and weapon power.

Duh....I know..

China's military is modernizing, but there are distinct limits to the modernization program. First, the current force structure is so old that the rate of retirement will exceed the rate of acquisition in all major weapons categories, with the possible exception of major surface combatants. This means that the size of China’s armed forces will continue a recent pattern of decline, and to drop quite steeply in some cases, such as combat aircraft. The only exception may be China's surface combat ships.

In other words even if they are trying to modrenize their military they are still miles behind the US.

That's an interesting site. I also found this article thought provoking. Nothing terribly new or previously unknown but a good synopsis of what could lie ahead.
