5.5 quarts in that bright orange. Went whole hog and got a Le Creuset.

Oh, I'm getting old.

We are on our second one of those (in that colour too). A piece of the enamel inside it chipped off the first one and started to rust underneath (after about 10 years of pretty heavy use). Le Creuset wouldn't replace for free, but gave us a 50% discount on a replacement.

After 5 years of original tyres and steel rims...

Not exactly the height of fashion but the new wheels were a really good price.

Did Le Creuset blame you for the chip so they won't cover it with the warranty? I wonder if the enamel is repairable or if they could have repaired it.

They strongly hinted at it being on us, which we couldn't prove otherwise. We didn't fight particularly hard given that we got 10ish years of pretty hard use out of it and the half price replacement.

Is that the same as a Fortuner? I see them here all the time but with different name. Is it the same model?

A lot of people conflate the two models, but my understanding is that they're different. I googled the Fortuner and it appears like it's based off the Hilux pickup, whereas this version of the 4Runner was mechanically similar to the third generation Land Cruiser Prado.

Picked up a Pro controller for the Switch. Got a charging grip not long ago but the Joy Cons when playing in docked mode aren't really doing it for me.

And NHL '21 for PS4 (I'm blaming @JockeP22 for this one. J/k )

I see. That makes sense as the Hilux is the ubiquitous truck here. They look very similar.

The Pro Controller is awesome. I need to look into how much of a pain it is to run one on PC.

It's a V8, but not a 4WD. I'm going to be moving to a location in town where I'll be seeing more highway driving, and I didn't want to see myself getting tired of the third gen in that 'use case'. The fourth gen solved most of the quality of life complaints I had with the third gen. A car thread update is in order, but I'm not sure whether I'll make it before or after I sell the third gen.

Thankfully this is just the first film. Like you I’m not a fan of the sequels. I really hoped they could have got the proposed TV show off the ground but it doesn’t look likely.

First movie is a classic, I love it. Recently watched all 7 films (can't believe there are 7...) and honestly I don't think any of them are too bad with the exception of 6 (A Cold Day in Hell). 6 was just not so good.

Last Friday I bought more comics. First I got some Betty and Veronica and Lumberjanes in digital format from Comixology. Lumberjanes is simply one of the very best comics I've read in a long time. Sorry to the series is ending, but considering it was only supposed to go eight issues and instead went 75 plus a couple crossover series and a few stand alone stories, I'm happy with what I got.


Friday afternoon I went to Kinokuniya bookstore in Seattle and picked up a couple volumes of yuri manga in real physical hold it in your hands book form. I love Kinokuniya. There's alway something new to pick up.
