No worries, I'm going to try and get tickets to the next time they are in the UK so that should be a blast, especially since all my Foo Fighter hating friends are actually listening to their music now and slowly being converted. :)
I think they've said they won't be touring the UK for a while as they've been here quite a lot in the last few years.

I was lucky enough to see them in Cardiff, small-ish arena, literally 10 yards from Dave Grohl :dopey: (there was a walkway out into the crowd).

Obviousley I think 10 years is an exaggeration, but atleast 2-3 summers wouldn't surprise me.

That sounds awesome, wish I was at that gig, concerning the actual chances of them visiting again soon-ish that's not good. Oh well, perhaps I'll be waiting a little longer until I get to see them live...Perhaps I'll try go and see Muse in the mean time.

Bought it to replace the infuriating Belkin print server that was connected to my HP Laserjet. First impressions are very pleasing - it integrated seamlessly with my Netgear router using a powerline adaptor, it was a doddle to set up with my Mac and with my Mum's XP laptop using Bonjour (it took 5 minutes where the Belkin took 5 hours of fiddling), and is processing print jobs 10x quicker than the Belkin did. And it's streaming my iTunes music to my speakers very well too. 👍

USB Data cable for my phone for $4.99 which includes shipping.

I can't wait to share some car pics soon with you guys.

That is AWESOME, and probably some of the most fun you can have on 2 wheels.

I found that out today, I've clocked up 70 miles today alone and for just £4.50 worth of petrol! It's a real blast on the rally stage roads by me. It cruises really well to for when I'm just commuting to and from college, being a 2 stroke it has that magic moment though where it kicks in and takes off, I was amazed at the force it pulled me with being just a 125CC engine. That also means it's light though, easy to chuck it about :sly:

Best money I've spent and such a bargain for the condition and mileage, not to mention it's a Yamaha so it will go on forever.

Yeah, it's really easy to ride I find, full throttle you need to be a quick gear changer, but I've only rode a geared bike once before for my CBT and I've only made one error with the DTX when I hit neutral by accident which was my second time pulling away (N is between gear 1 and 2 so if you're to light on the shifter you hit N). Cornering is a doddle if you're not stupid, just so long as you take your time in the rain.

EDIT: You do need to be quite tall though, because the bike is quite high and wider then it looks, I'm 6ft so it's comfortable for me to hold upright, once you're moving though it wouldn't be a problem.

Oh... damn it. :grumpy:

Not like HUGE, I'm 6ft and the bike is very comfortable, especially the shifter which is really easy for me to use compared to the Honda CG I did my CBT on. It's just easy for me, I imagine it's not hard for a short guy, but it just might not be nice at low speed for someone shorter then me. It's difficult to tell as I found riding motorbikes second nature from day 1, I was great on the 50CC moped I started on and the geared bikes are an absolute doddle for me and I've only been really riding since yesterday barring my CBT.

The key is to take your time with things, braking early and giving yourself time to ease yourself in to a new machine before slowly being more relaxed and then you don't even think about what you're doing, you just do it.

If you can drive a car, riding a motorbike is easier in my opinion. Might not be everyones though.

I meant that it's not going to do anything but sound different, and possibly make things worse. Those bumps on the inside make a huge amount of turbulence, which causes back pressure, and contrary to popular belief, backpressure doesn't increase engine power.

Actually, cherry bombs have the best flow out of all their competitors, and would be obviously a lot better then just a standard muffler.

Plus they sound great :sly:

He never told me what the inside of it looked like. If it's smooth, it should flow well, if it's all bumpy like a generic glasspack, then it doesn't flow well. It might flow better than "it's competitors" but that's not saying much if they all have a crap design.

A fart can also obviously less restrictive than a stock muffler, but that doesn't mean its a good product. "Sounding good" is subjective.

It has little holes all around the inside, not overly bumpy but not overly smooth.

It's not overly complicated.

Depending on the type it could be that, or just a bunch of circle holes. At least from what I've seen.

The kind with circle holes are good, those are little lifted cut sections. They slow down the air and create turbulence, I've heard of a few psi of back pressure in some cases.

not as of yet! BUUUUUUT within the coming months I might be getting this to start off a good toyota collection!

Mine are the ones with the little circles, not the type with lifted cuts.

Why are the bonnet and headlight covers white? I looked at first and though oh it's a new bonnet then looking again the headlight covers are to.

...if it can keep the Scottish cold out, it will be worth it :nervous:
In doing a bit of research, your coat might be good for your temps...

but I fear I'd be freezing my you-know-what's off.

You do, however, kick my ass in the precip department, though.

New coat for the winter...

Is that an Apex jacket? Looks like it from the photo, if it is you'll have no problem keeping the cold wind and dampness off of you. I wear mine all the time during the fall and it's great.

Similar, I think... it's a Sentinel Windstopper. I chose it because it's lightweight and doesn't make me look like I'm fixing to climb a mountain! But given that the wind and rain here in Scotland can be fierce in the winter, I reckoned I needed it...

Looks slightly more heavy duty then the APEX, but with 0CFM wind rating you'll be fine. Plus it's from the Summit Series line which I have no complaints about. You'll love it, I love all my North Face stuff. Plus if anything ever breaks on it the fix it free of charge. One of my fleece jackets had the cuff snap break on it and it only took about two weeks for them to fix it.

I went into a games shop in my lunch break today and just couldn't help myself. These after just buying Dead Space last week...

My social-life is officially over!
