I bought these two for my son as gifts for Christmas. It's a great excuse to buy things I want to play also! It's too bad that we he has to wait until Christmas morning to play them :)
About time you got on the LBP bandwagon.

Anc check out the LBP thread for the MGS news I posted this morning. That makes your Christmas Day much more exciting.

Holy Crap! You gotta TV set with rotating knobs! Haven't seen one of those in years!
1972 Sylvania color TV! It still works pretty well to.
Seeing all these dreamcasts has made me tempted...
Buy one. BUY ONE.

Make sure it's one of the original run Dreamcasts though, if you want to run homebrew games or have some 'added fun.' (It'll have a circle on the bottom with a '1' in it.)

If you hadn't noticed by now I'm such a half-arsed gamer. And to prove that point I would be excited about the MGS news if I had ever actually played a single minute of that series.

It doesn't matter if you've played the MGS series. It changes the game itself.

Not only does it add 5 story levels and 1 challenge level (MGS themed, so not as cool for some as it is others), but it adds guns (paintball guns, but still, GUNS!!!) and the tools needed to make it so that shooting objects actually causes them to react.

So now We can all get our pew pew pew on in LBP.

Finally, bought some Muse albums to accompany my new found love for their music. Hopefully, I'll get HAARP for Christmas to add more to my collection!

I just bought a new keyboard for the PS3 so when I get snowed in this weekend (again) I can text the way Mother Nature Sony intended is forcing me to. :P

Good stuff.

Yeah it is, I've already found a couple of songs which I'd never heard before which I actually love, like "The Small Print" off Absolution. That has to be the one thing I love about buying albums, finding songs I didn't previously know and then finding them to be great!

If you don't mind finger texting, Sony realesed an official keypad that attaches right onto the controler, has backlit keys for use at night, as well as several hot keys for commonly used XMB commands, and uses Bluetooth instead of USB dongle. MadCatz also has a keypad attachment, except it doesn't have backlit keys or the hot keys, and isn't bluetooth, so you'll need to usa a USB wireless dongle.

There are also some great mini keyboards designed to be used in low light conditions. Logitec has a really nice one called the DiNovo Mini

Quick retort to D-N's post:

Official Keypad - Looks nice and all, but as I'm not a cell phone texter, typing with my thumbs seems (nearly) as slow as using the PS3's keypad. Yes, that is a bit of an exaggeration.

MadCatz Keypad - See above but add in I haven't had very much success with anything MC has made.

The DiNovo is nice and all, but $150? I could (literally, not exaggerated) buy 10 of my keyboards for that price!

Bottom line, I wanted something more convenient that the PS3's keypad for the occasional message and until Home gives me back my R2 button and an inexpensive keyboard fit the bill perfectly! Thanks for the suggestions, though. Someone else might read that and think that one of those is "the one" for them, that someone just isn't me. 👍

I have the same keyboard, only I use it on the PC. It came bundled with a wireless mouse too. Very comfortable to type on.

The key chain came as a gift.

The game doesn't run on my current computer by the way. I bought it to play with this:

Not a great configuration but I can't spend more than this at the moment. C2Q will have to wait. :(

I still need to buy an HDD and a case, and since I'm on vacation and going to the beach tomorrow I'll have to finish this in January.

Fair enough, I just thought I'd toss out some alternative choices. I'm actually like you in that while I have a keypad and a Blackberry, I still prefer to use a regualr keyboard... although I'm a lousy typist with those as well. :)

If I have but one regret in life, it is that I had Origin of Symmetry on my computer for three years before I actually listened to it. That's like having a Ferrari in the garage but never driving it.

Nice comparison :) I managed to listen to it all the way through today whilst playing Mercenaries. Some really good songs on it, aside from the obvious ones being New Born, Bliss, Feeling Good and Plug In Baby there are some great tunes on it! I can see myself listening to it for quite awhile.

While out having fun in snow with the S-10 I felt like making a pit stop at GameStop and bought me the PS3 clavier sans fil. Should make conversations in home much easier. I was going to get a full sized keyboard but I really don't want one laying around so this seems like a good trade off. Reminds me of my Blackberry's keypad.

I had this concern, but I found that the keyboard slides quite nicely under my sofa or entertainment center and is out of site.

Don't forget Tokyo Extreme Racer and Marvel Vs Capcom 2 👍
Marvel vs Capcom 2 is supposed to be getting the online download treatment. It has been re=rated by the ESRB and the Capcom guy on the PlayStation Blog is being very coy regarding any questions about the game.

I'm hoping for an HD remix, but I will settle for a Classic original download.

A pair of Antlers (and a red nose) for my car! Found them in Big W for a bit under $17. They've made a few people laugh :).

For some reason, I will get it but its not going to be the same for me.
