Mother's Milk and Uplift Mofo Party Plan are on order. £9.98 for both of them,

Good call 👍 - Like Scaff said, their early stuff is better (less generic) than their latter releases. B.S.S.M. was, in my opinion, their peak.

Just so you know, the 280's have a spidf connector on them to pass audio out the HDMI adapter. :). Will definitely review the whole setup when it's done.

Yeah, I'm aware of that, but I hate those adapters.

I also have my doubts of on-board sound compared to a dedicated sound card that sends out the audio via dedicated HDMI connection. Remember, my current PC with on-board audio is extremely horrible, and I want an excellent quality sound card for better music recordings in my next PC.

This one is a Jasper which will hopefully last for at least a year.

No consumer should ever have to say that about a product. I know most of the common issues are fixed now, but I still see people I know having occasional problems.

I am contemplating the Pro, but I am still nervous about reliability.

Heathers 4th 360 just died yesterday. I gave up on Microsoft repairing that one over and over again so I went out and bought a brand new 60gb Pro. This one is a Jasper which will hopefully last for at least a year.

4th? Isn't that a big enough hint?

My CD's arrived, just finished Kings of Leon, first impression, quite mixed, I think it might grow on me more, top 4-5 are very strong though. Will put BSSM on after I get some food for dinner tonight.

Nice purchase. Can you buy me an E3110 next time?

:D Just pick up an E8400 and call it a day. I might have a E8600 for sale after a bit. Hardly used, barely overclocked, and never abused (well, maybe just once or twice). :)

I'll pounce if the price is right.

OK, I know of the Trader Joe's Ale (don't have a Trader Joe's locally, so never tried it), but I do not recognize the brand of the Winterfest. What is that?

It looks very similar to the logo of our local brewery, Bluegrass Brewing Company (BBC), but is definitely different. I also wanted to think it was Bell's, but their winter beer is Winter Wheat.

It appears to be a microbrew, so the follow up question is if they are sold at any large chains, such as Liquor Barn, Party Store, etc?
It's Trader Joe's own Josephs Brau Winterfest. It's a very good German style lager (Doppelbock). 👍

beeradvocate.com
Doppelbocks--as the name might suggest--are typically even stronger and contain enough malty goodness that they’ve been considered a meal in a glass for centuries. Generally they have a very full-bodied flavor and are darker than their little Bock brothers and sisters and a higher level of alcohol too. They range in color from dark amber to nearly black, and dark versions often have slight chocolate or roasted characters.

Also, how much does that Trader Joe's go for? That looks to be a 24oz bottle (larger than a pint, less than a liter), so I already expect it to be at least $5-$6. If it is 9% (or more) alcohol then I am guessing closer to $12.

Trader Joe's 2008 Vintage Ale sells for $5 for a 750ml (25oz) bottle... and well worth it. 👍

I just wish it was available year round. For those curious though, it's a Belgian Dubbel style beer:

beeradvocate.com
The Belgian Dubbel is a rich malty beer with some spicy / phenolic and mild alcoholic characteristics. Not as much fruitiness as the Belgian Strong Dark Ale but some dark fruit aromas and flavors may be present. Mild hop bitterness with no lingering hop flavors. It may show traits of a steely caramel flavor from the use of crystal malt or dark candy sugar. Look for a medium to full body with an expressive carbonation.

As for another new purchase that I can highly recommend...

The only question I have is if you have to return an item you buy from the Lego store inside the park... do you have to also pay the $75 entry fee again! :ouch:

;)

A co-worker is ordering something from Newegg and is adding two 1GB sticks of Crucial DDR2 PC2 5300 to his order for me:

$18! I'm guessing my E1705 will be happier soon. :D

I went on a Gomez spree the other week, the CDs arrived today, just awaiting the T-shirt from the US now.

Does it date you when you hear the name Gomez and you think of Addams first?

Must find Trader Joe's. $5 isn't bad at all for a 25oz specialty anything.

It would be even more awesome if the rides were all built from LEGO.

$75!!!! I'll stick to Cedar Point, thanks.

Wait, do you have to buy entry to each section separately?

I hope not. I've now got the theme song stuck in my head. *snap*

Came in this morning! Ready to hook her up and grab some vids.

Don't be surprised if it barely, if at all sounds any different that stock. I know more than a few people with various V6 cars with a lot of emissions stuff on them that barely sound any different after a test pipe, downpipe and full catback exhaust because of the cats in the exhaust manifold.

But if it does......👍

Get videos.

The catback will change the sound, but I won't be bothered either way. Pre-Cats are a no-no right now. Don't want to fail emissions without them.

i got a blackberry 8130 pearl for a new phone
almost forgot the 30 inch tv and 2 10 inch subwoofers hooked up to my surround sound system

Living in a country with no emissions > than testing.

Today:

Enthusia! I found a used copy at a local store. Ten bucks.

DiscPants.jpg

New clutch disc that arrived Monday, and Jeans I got today (for almost half off!)

Cables.jpg

I Heart Monoprice.
-S Video, 3.5mm to RCA jack, 3.5mm splitter, 30' RG6 Co-ax, 50' 14-guage speaker wire, USB to Device cable, power strip, and cable ties to make it all look pretty. Shipping cost more than the order did.

I need to go order up some huge DVI to HDMI cable from them soon... 30+ footer or something. And then some USB extension cords...

Yeah every time I buy something from monoprice I have to get something else to justify the shipping. I got like 100 feet of speaker wire laying around because I wasn't gonna pay 7 bucks to ship two 10-cent splitters.

You don't have to tell me. The gains are almost worth it, though. Have to think long & hard about whether or not it's worth it....

Meant county, not country. Internal mental typo I guess. But yeah, not having to get my car tested for anything at all is pretty handy. At the same time, lets some people have some pretty massive POS cars on the road. Mix bag of things, I guess.

Ah, I see. Lucky you. :grumpy:

I'm not even sure if they'll like seeing the straight pipe down there instead of the converter the next time my car has to be inspected. :ouch:

Is it an easy swap? If so you could probably swap it in when you need to. That, or you can hope they really don't care about it.
The Race Pipe should be. The Pre-Cats, not so much. They are a PITA, and require some muscle & a few bloody knuckles. I'm still deciding whether or not trying to install a new crank pulley will be worth the effort, either.
