How are they able to get the ID number off the card?
If they have the number, why can't they activate it themselves?
Something about this just doesn't quite make sense to me.
Yeah, I actually think the safest thing to do is to take it straight home, transfer the funds to your PSN wallet, and then toss the card. At that point no one can get to the funds unless they have access to your account.
But the way cards work now they can only be taken if they have the code under the scratch off stuff. So, if you buy a card without the scratch off part then that is your own problem.
And there is no way to only transfer part of the card to your wallet. You enter the card number and it transfers the full amount to your wallet.
Now, I do know that there was some talk of older Xbox Live cards that didn't have the scratch off thing and people would write the number down, but I don't know how accurate those are. It seems to me like in that case the scam only has a chance of working if the card is a gift, thus is unused for days after activation, or if the person who buys it lets it sit for days.

Picture taken still inside box, duh. It's an 8GB 2nd Gen. And I love it already Browsing Facebook on it is actually easier than using my laptop.
Oh, and I got myself a crystal case because I don't want it scratched to hell like my last iPod.

Also got these as they were on clearance and I need to start running again in a few weeks. I've used the Nike Free 7.0s before and I love them. So I figured I'd go for the 3.0s next. Hopefully they fulfill my expectations.

Our local Costco. It was the last of their stock of 250's making way for the 260's which they have for $130.
I have to say though, I'm on the fence. I bought the following TomTom One almost two years ago:
And while it works great, for the cost of the latest map update, it was close to the cost of that Nuvi 250, so I figured I might as well just get the Nuvi and use the TomTom One as an extra GPS for guests.
However after using both at the same time to see how they compare, I'm not crazy about the Nuvi.
It's not bad mind you, it's just that it is missing some features that the TomTom has that I really like.
I'm going to give it a little more time and do some more side by side comparisons. I'll post my specific thoughts in the following thread:
