Lucky her eh?
No I don't think anything I buy will make up for all the grief.
My dad bought a car for my mom for one of their anniversaries (40th comes to mind). She drove it to where my dad worked and one of the guys there said something about the car. My mom told him it was an anniversary present. He said "With having to put up with him for the last 40 years, you should have gotten a Cadillac."Well, she's endured living with me for 18 years...

They bought an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (like this one but in burgundy and with better rims) so a Caddy, no matter how bad, was likely still a step up!That would have been good in the 50s and 60s , but if it was in the 80s- present.....do Americans still hold the Caddy in such high regard?
Those are very nice buys. I have been using a Sapphire 4870 1gb for a month now and really like it. I went from a GeForce GTS250 though so I didn't see as much of a jump in performance as you did going from a 9400 GT. BTW, I bought mine from Newegg for $109.99on eBay, and I got this XFX Radeon 4870 1GB
And this Asus 23" 1080p LCD/HDMI monitor:
For PC gaming--mainly rFactor and GTR Evo, Race 07, GTR2.
@ Nigel--if you haven't already got it hooked up, you are going to love the 4870 GPU 👍 I've only run at 1440 x 900 resolution so far, but I'm now able to run both rFactor and GTR Evo at Max settings I was afraid my PCU (E5200 Pentium dual core @ 2.5ghz) would be a bottleneck on performance, but not so far *fingers crossed* Maybe at higher resolutions I will run into issues. From everything I read, this card is basically on par with the Geforce 260, and it was about $20-$30 cheaper.
This card replaced the Geforce 9400 GT I had. Needless to say, it is far superior I got a good deal on it too. Newegg had it for $144.99 shipped.
And the Asus monitor was $198 including shipping. Very pleased so far
I picked these two puppies up tonight at Best Buy while I was browsing through there pathetic selection of CD's.
Picked up this on the way home from work, excellent CD. It feels weird to buy physical media, I'm so used to getting crap off iTunes or Zune Media Player. I have all the other Tiesto CD's though so I figured I'd get this one, even though I bought it on iTunes as well (hooray $100 gift card I have no idea what to do with!). The iTunes version came with two bonus tracks, so it was worth it I suppose. I still need to track down the vinyl for it this album though.
I came to this same conclusion while I was there yesterday getting GTPSP. I understand that they don't sell as much anymore but they could at least keep it updated.
In gearing up for winter, I pulled out the kids boots. The boots my son wore last year were a size 10. The shoes we just bought him are 13. Size 10 to 13 in one season! Off to Target we went for a new pair.
Luckily, my other son now fits the 10s so we only needed the one pair. Sweet.
We also stopped by the parts store for a new brake light for the Pilot and air cleaner for the Civic.
Yes to the Target, no the the Advanced (is there one on 45th?). O'Reilly's on 32nd.Let me guess.. yon 13th ave SE Target and the requisite stop at the Advance Auto Parts on 45th street?
