Minnesota=French?

They did ban the Salvation Army though for some odd reason. I think customers were complaining that they were saying Merry Christmas or something.
To my belief, that we don't have the Salvation Army at the front doors because it goes against our " hassle-free" shopping promise. From time to time, I will often kick out people who are selling stuff or asking for money for some sort of cause. Though most of the stuff that is salvageable is often given to Good-Will and the local SPCA.

I was just being silly because that did go around here locally at one point and people started pronouncing it tarjay (snooty French accent included). Now, Biggs was French and had protests for not being an American company. They are no longer in my area. Figures, they required a $0.25 deposit to use a shopping cart.

As nk4e pointed out, the official line is that it was to avoid solicitors of any kind. The unofficial rumor was other groups wanted in and so they changed their policy to avoid discrimination suits. Of course, causeheads just saw that Salvation Army got banned and went nuts.

Personally, they have good deals all the time and feels a small step above Walmart, but none are in my residential town and the one closest to work is inconveniently located.

Ohhhhh yeeeaaaaa

You get used to them quick though.

I remember I got a 19" a 3 years ago and it was crazy huge to me. Then a week later you get used to it. At work a lot of people just got 24's, and again they looked huge, but now they're kinda normal.

Weird to think when I got a Samsung 15" CRT back in the day I was the envy of all my friends, as they only had a lowly 12"-13"! I think 24" will be the highest regular size for a while now though. (That said I'm rocking a 32" Monitor at the moment, my eyesight is going downhill fast...)

Oh yeah, I was using a 19" for a long time when I built my gaming rig, and that was the "standard" big size at the time. Then I bought a 28" and scooted the 19" over to secondary duty. Then saw a 20" widescreen on sale for $99, gave the 19" to my mom, and now have a 28" and 20" dominating my desk...And then the 46" LCD behind me...

The pixels are taking over.

How's that thing work? I've been looking for a keyboard to use for my laptop, and I don't want to just get another G15.

Ehhh.. Backlit keys - Very non intrusive backlit I must add - Just enough to make you appreciate the light in the dark ;-)

I can try to take a picture in the dark, but it'll probably turn out crappy :-/

[Edit:] if you mean how I like it, I absolutely LOVE it - like a good mix between laptop and regular keyboard ;-)

Where are you stuck? Just hit Chapter 25 myself. Ditto on it being awesome, gets better too.

It sure is a nice Alfa GT. With it 2.0L JTS engine it is quite a beast and its cornering and brakes are beyond anything I've driven before. I can't help but feeling a bit smug. :embarrassed:

I only started it today - Been having issues getting past the first courtyard in the turkish museum..

Got stuck there too.

You know that little hallway where that gate and two guards is? Jump over the stairs to the right of it.

It's not really a puchase as I'm taking over this phone from my dad. My Sony Ericsson K610i has served me for three years now, and it still works like a charm. Only the battery is slowly but surely dying. My dad has had the phone in the phone case since the day he bought it, so all I need to do is to clean it up and it should look brandnew. Amazing phone, I hope I will enjoy it as much as he did. He's giving it to me since everyone else in the house has relatively new phones, and he's getting himself an iPhone. (God knows why...)

Because they're brilliant phones. :D

When they were new, 2 years ago. They are dated now. 320x480 resolution screen is very not good. Mine runs at 480x800, and has a flash browser, MMS (from the get go), solid service, cheaper data, and I can run whatever the hell I feel like on it.

Make way for HTC and Andriod.

I don't see all the fuse over them... I use cells for calling people.. I don't see why other people really feel the need for all these other things. I've messed around with a few of them on many occasions and didn't see the big deal.

Because you don't have quite a much going on in your life yet. I have work and school, social stuff, constant need for email, and so on. Most of the people that have iPhones or Blackberrys would be perfectly fine off with a basic texting phone (LG Env, etc), but for power users, they are a god send.

My Touch Pro 2 is pretty much everything I need on campus in one - Planner, notes, music, movies, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Web, Email, threaded texting, weather, GPS, maps, PDF reader, etc.

I've had my 2G iPhone for just as long and I haven't felt the need to upgrade it... Sure others have surpassed it in terms of technical specs, but I've never had a phone that was just so... usable (for want of a better term). It does all the basics very well plus there are all those apps, and that touchscreen is how all touchscreens should be - fast, sensitive and durable. There are a few niggles (flash for instance), but overall I've never been this satisfied with a phone before... It's a lot like my Fuji S5 in a way, in that the drawbacks never really outweigh the strengths.

You know that how? That's a pretty bold statement to say considering you probably know next to nothing about me. You have work, school and social stuff? Small world huh?

You're 18. That is enough generally. More so if you can't seem to understand the appeal of these devices.

Pretty solid logic I think.

Being prejudice isn't logical.

I fail to see the prejudice. You live in the US. 18 is a common age to still be in high school. This generally means you live with your parents, they pay for much of your expenses, you have a fairly predefined schedule (School hours, possible extra-curricular) You may have a part time job.

Additionally, you stated

Prosthestic
I don't see why other people really feel the need for all these other things. I've messed around with a few of them on many occasions and didn't see the big deal.

Which means not only does it not seem useful to your life-style, but you fail to see how it appeals to others. Which is a terrible assumption, thinking your life-style is comparable to everyone's.

The logical fail was on your end, my good sir. I took two fairly easy to analyze pieces of information, based entirely off your statements, and went with them.

How many people in the states start senior year being almost 19? Unless they were held back none. I have my diploma good sir..

Almost every phone on the market does all those basic things that you have mentioned.. I'm done.. Being called a high school student has given me a bad enough taste in my mouth to end this conversation. Besides its gotten off topic.
