Then order her :sly:
she's... just $80-ish! ...Though I suppose that's an $80 you don't have :indiff:

I would order if I'm working, but I'm not! And I already blew a lot of money on my new headphones, and I have other things to buy soon so figures are one of my least priorities now. Maybe I can get it for my birthday though, who knows... :)

What does one do with an $80 doll/statue/action figure? Not hatin, it's just I'm more curious then anything.

Its a hobby, just like people who collects car models, and whatnot. Its not for everyone, but if you love it you won't mind spending on that certain something, whatever the cost it might be... Oh, and what you do with it? You could keep it as a display, or maybe take photos of it from time to time. Most of all, you just admire the figure each time you look at it! ^_^

I don't know what it is about a lens....Something facinating about them? I also love the engineering. Very nice chaps.

It's the aperture. I think all the old camera companies(pentax, canon, nikon) have really great first party 85mm lenses with f1.4 apertures. They're really expensive but are very sharp and usually have a rather pleasing bokeh.

Its a hobby, just like people who collects car models, and whatnot.

I think it's more than a hobby...

Terronium, should have some also. Sometimes it is more than a hobby..

I was just curious. It just seems really pricey for moulded plastic...but I don't get super expensive diecast car models either. But hey it's not my money so I'm cool with it.

Gunpla is different because you can actually articulate the figures and play/create with them. This is just some dumb (who is "she" btw?) static figurine. I mean, you literally do nothing with it besides put it on a shelf. It doesn't exactly tie a room together.

True, but her name is Hatsune Miku. A Vocaloid, a character from a singing synth that the Japanese made that became very popular with a lot of Fanboys...( some fan girls)

Was all in the same box:

I'm getting this particular figurine for a couple reasons other then being one of the Miku fans n4ke mentioned; I like the look of this one very much and there's the fact that I'm frequently messing around the fan-made 3D model it's based on.

I'm new to this figurine business myself (started off with a nendoroid that's a few pages back, just a month or two ago. Nendoroids are articulate though). But it might well become a minor hobby. I'm unlikely to get more of the static figurines since I do prefer something that is more 'functional' as opposed to being purely decorative.

If you get the Noel one... I will hate you.

It was free in Europe when you preorder..I believe..It was probably in America also.
Truth to be told I don't know that character at all. I haven't been keeping up to date with anime/VNs/manga/any-of-the-sort.

MikuPa is tomorrow though

It is really no different than buying some piece of art for display in my opinion. People see my 40k armies and just wonder why I don't just play the computer games, etc. Or the blank keycaps for my keyboard. Or that weird hair gel crap you bought from another century.

To each their own with hobbies and interests I say.

Sorry for the lack of pictures taken by myself

Ah right, I don't think I quite have an image available, but the last thing my money flowed on was a replacement PSP screen today. Ach.

Blank keycaps don't make sense either. Hair tonic does, because, damn, have you seen how good I look?
