Syntax: The Great Gatsby, Heart of Darkness and 1984. đź‘Ť Those new Penguin paperbacks look rather cool.

I thought so too. And 1984 easily one of my favourite novels even though it's depressing as hell.

 That is epic! I showed it to my wife and she responded saying "don't be silly the kids are too young to be playing with lego". It took a moment for it to dawn on her that I was talking about getting it for myself.

My wife went kind of dippy when I showed her my proposed purchases of the Lego Mindstorms kit.

When I told her it could be built/ programmed to help sweep the floor she let up a bit of slack. I do wished I'd bought it but the laptop I bought in its stead is far more useful. There's always Xmas for me to treat myself. :)

The IRobot was on my shopping list until I realised I can by the Create which is the robot without the vacuum. It's a platform for modding which would go nicely with the NTX.

Bought a new Lego model tonight with my Lego VIP points, I had enough to pay for more then half of it

I'm thinking about picking that one up sometime, but I barely have room for the LEGO Space Shuttle I built last week.
It goes great with the STS-135 Commemorative Launch Ticket

Make it 4; I posted that a day or 2 ago.

Anyway,

Total cost: $5,000.

Granted, my parents payed for all but the $200 I contributed, but it's still 4% my purchase.

Also, I'm not sure why, but it came out as pink in those photos. It's actually a dark red.

We're selling the old one:

To help pay for it.

Started as just a way to get around the neighborhood. Then we just started to love riding in them so much we upgraded and upgraded until there was nothing left to do.
So we just bought a new one with a badass paintjob.
I had taken the blue one off-roading in the woods, but with that paintjob I'm not sure I'll be doing any rough stuff with the new one.

And we have actually asked the owners of the local golf course if we could use it there......they said no.

Also, we go to Frontier Town, OC once a year, and there are custom Golf Karts everywhere. So it's also just a fun thing to ride around there.

Oh, and one of the parts I paid for:

Makes it's top speed about 20mph instead of 10.

I know, 20mph isn't fast. But when you're in a golf cart it sure as hell feels fast.

The space shuttle model is awesome, I built that one back in July and it's kind of the main decor in my room

Not to be rude, but how does a wire double the speed?

It's a Speed Chip.

I'm having trouble thinking right now on account of how tired I am, so I might be wrong. But if I do remember right, it just allows the motor to use it's full potential. How it does this I'm not entirely sure right now.

There are a few different types. Some for increased torque, and some for more speed.

My neighbor used to do that kind of thing.. But with mobility scooters. His son made one that would go up to 35mph or something. They used special boxes to unlock the motors and everything.

Are you planning on putting speakers for the new one?

We're considering it, but we dont have any real plans for big speakers just yet. We're definitely getting normal speakers and a stereo, but the 10" subs are something we haven't decided on yet.

Bought myself one of these:

I've always wanted a model bus. They were too expensive for a kid, and then I forgot about them until I visited Hong Kong recently. My visit rekindled my interest in them and so I purchased one for myself, a bus like the ones I use to ride on as a kid. I plan on eventually purchasing a model of all the bus types that I rode on as a small kid.

^ Same with me. Except mine are Physics and Maths uni books. Cost me ÂŁ50 each too... And there's three of them! I don't have a picture, but I'm sure you're all not that fussed about looking at the front of a Physics text book...

Well, since my Razer Blackwidow Keyboard started to bug out and stop recognizing keystrokes, and the key switches started collapsing. I decided to go return it to the store I got it from. So now I have the same model keyboard that is brand new.

Looks just like this.
