Finally I can learn how to make hands look like hands!

Haha. That just reminded me of my total lack of artistic skill. I usually just stay with stick men. It gets the point across and I don't have to embarass myself with drawings that are trying to be accurate.

Got a new wallet, front pocket style with an ID window and a money clip that doubles as a bottle opener.

And it came in a fancy decorative tin. Since I bought it online I had no clue it came with that.

Here is my latest purchase....

Any other fans of multi-million year old fossils here? :sly:

Yep, there are 👍
-Although most of my fossils don't fall under the 'bought section' :P
(My avatar does though!)
Treveropyge (known as TREV :P), late Devonian from Morocco, bought him on my trip out there in January 👍

That's pretty cool, and pretty cheap. It is just a piece of wood though...;)

Nothing wrong with a bit of petrified wood, sometimes out fossiling all you may find is a lump of fossil wood, it's better than nothing!

My grandpa has one of these but will only let me stare at it.

Holy 🤬!
Always wanted a stand like that, saw one with a deinonychasaurian skull on once but couldn't afford it! Loving the Smilodon though!

He also has 5 fossilized shark teeth, 14 trilobites, a ton of insects in amber, a collection of petrified wood, some fish, and that Smilodon skull. He is looking at getting some crinoids and ammonites next.

Does he have a mosquito in amber atop a cane? That would be kickass!

Keef: I've always had a bottle opener on me. I have one on my key ring at all times.

Have you been using a front pocket wallet or now switching to one?

I had a traditional bi-fold wallet that had the removable card holder with ID window. I wound up just using the card holder and folding my cash into the middle. The ID window ripped open last week so I had to look for a new wallet for the first time in like ten years.

I have always kept my wallet in my front pocket though. I didn't know that they actually had specifically designed front pock, thin wallets until I started looking at new ones.

I asked because I recently switched to putting my wallet in my front pocket. I bought a Slimmy. It took me a bit of time to adjust to putting my wallet in a front pocket after years of sitting on a wallet. Now that I have adjusted, I wonder why I did not make the switch earlier. I was quite surprised at how much more comfortable I am not sitting on a wallet all day.

Just ordered this for my BMW 525i Touring.

The sound from the stereo is terrible so I'm upgrading the subwoofer.

Also don't like the wood trim interior so I'm going to redo it in a brushed titanium finish. Pics when it's done in the "What have you done to your car today?" thread.

Sweet plan, but is the subwoofer the only thing you're going to upgrade? You'll have terrible sound and a huge headache if that's the case :P .

I suggest you upgrade your whole system. Just my .02 (:

Sounds like a Mac Gyver shop list. Where is the swiss army knive?

Went on a bit of a shopping spree today. Don't let any women read this but retail therapy does seem to work... provided it's cool stuff you are buying  All this junk has cheered me up immensely.

No point having a blu-ray if you only have DVD's to watch, so I bought a few blu-rays:

Sounds good! My fossils are mostly ammonites, trilobites, and dino bone (found shedloads in Morocco).. Got loads of other stuff too though, got a load of amber coming soon :D

Got some EPIC Spinosaurus teeth as well 👍

Great to see other relic hunters here!

I am very much a noob to fossils, but so far have collected 1 half-thumb sized piece of Baltic Amber with insect inclusions, I count 4 gnats in total, chuffing expensive but very gorgeous [/Geek]

I also have the Petrified wood in transit, can't wait to get it and eyeball it all over

I also have some large quartz stoney things I found on the shore of Loch Lomond in Scotland.

Next on my list is some cool Agate slices

Broke a ball mouse last night and decided to order a new keyboard and mouse for the purpose of troubleshooting computers.

I want a mechanical keyboard so, so, bad! The only problem is it's $100!

I guess I'll wait until boxing day :(

I think it's better than all of those Logitech gaming keyboards and so on.

Edit: You can also have it set up like this:

^ This isn't a what would you like your new purchase to be thread. Don't think about making one, either.

There is a 99% chance I will be getting it in the next few months. At the very least: boxing day.

Point is, this is the "show off your latest purchase" thread. If you haven't purchased anything or don't have anything to say about someone else's purchase, don't post.

As a late birthday gift to my daughter, an indoor disc golf set.

imagettgs.jpg

Got to teach them at a young age. She can't throw yet but she loves running up and dropping the disc in the basket and watching me throw one in from across the room.

And for me, I got this. The pic is self-explanatory I think.

Pardon my chicken scratch handwriting. I'm hoping I can use it to replace my notepad at work. As it is a government job we already go through a rainforest's worth of paper a day. Even what they have digitized they require a hard copy backup on file.

If it doesn't work my daughter already likes drawing on it, so it works as a good art pad that won't write on other things.

Got myself some shoes. Ordered them online in a sale so I'll see if I really like them when they get here next week. If not free returns.
