Got some new scrubs since my old ones we pretty worn out. They are going to be so much more comfortable than the shirt and ties I've been having to wear.

Sennheiser HD 201S. $30. Loving it so far. 👍

I don't have a pair (I use my dad's), but they are what I use to listen to music at home. Fantastic quality. 👍 My Dad's are 'only' HD 201s though.

That's an odd size for a monitor. What resolution does it run at? 1920x1200? Or more?

I don't think I even heard of a 25 inch monitor. Its either 24, 27/28, 30 and 32.

It's 25" Diagonally, and it runs at 1920x1080.

I've been overfilling my laptop bag for far too long. Ordered a iM2600 carrying case today. Not bad for $125 with tax.

I felt it was time to get a really good case that I can easily customize for my business. Like I could cut the foam to carry three 17" laptops while use space in the lid for document filling and still have room around the laptops to store other stuff like an external HDD.

Red Dead Redemption on Xbox 360. Kept saying I should get it so I did, and I'm loving it so far, a fantastic game. 👍

Wait, what?!

A 25 inch viewable screen (as in, 25 inch from the edge of the screen to the other edge of the screen) being only 1920x1080?

Is yours a 16:9 ratio only?

I got this 24 inch monitor that was cheap for its time (something like early 2009 at about 160 quid) at a resolution of 1920x1200.

If you mainly watch films, then I would understand that.

My new laptop, dwarfing my girlfriend's M14X in the background. And some cat food on the floor.

Unbranded case FTW! :D

Not mine yet but will be soon. It's a 2002 Yamaha YZ250F with an 03 head. Paying $1500 for it.

Yummy. I still prefer Honda though. Grew up on Honda 3 wheelers.

Last thing I bought was a Raspberry Snapple Ice Tea.

Turns out I'm getting the carrying case tomorrow. Now I'm gonna have the problem of designing the case to be able to hold lots of stuff(I'd love to be able to put three laptops in it, each protected by a layer of foam).

I registered a company. Obviously can't show you it as it's a company and not a thing. Tai Pan. Basically an official company that I can do all my business under; marketing, publishing, trading and pimping.

Congrats Shem!

Did you choose that name because of the dual meaning of "boss" and Thai cooking?

Because if so, then congrats, that's quite clever. I like it. 👍

It's actually a joint company with my father and I as directors. He happened to be reading Tai Pan and Noble House when we had the idea so the name lent itself perfectly; literally meaning foreign boss. :sly:

I wanted to go with Skerr Industries as a homage to Iron Man's Stark Industries (my first initial and last name combined) but it got laughed off. :grumpy:

So far we have 2 Chinese staff, a small office and not much else because most of the work is done through networking and online and only requires a PC. I'm working on it now in between browsing GTP. :)

Should serve you very well.

We have a few at work that were supplied with equipment and instruments that are worth tens of thousands of dollars. The cases are very robust and do a great job.
I've personally knocked one onto the ground from about 2 metres and the equipment inside suffered no damage at all.

Cheers Shaun.

Excellent stuff. Hope it all works out. Did you not consider Shem Pan? :D

Bought it over the last bank holiday weekend sales. £900 was the base price then 10% (bank holiday sale) then there was an offer on top of that for VAT(tax) back so it worked out at £675.

specs:
i7-3610QM
NVIDIA® GT650M 2GB
6GB ram
1TB HD
JBL speakers with subwoofer
USB 3.0
blueray player

👍

My dad does not agree with me purchasing the case but I personally think I need to make a good impression if I go to a house to work on some computers. I'm already getting some ideas on how I can thin out the 1.75" thick foam(three layers of that) for storage of three 17" laptops(Thinking if I should cut 0.75" or 1" out of each layer).

These times 4:
