Just to quote my facebook about my awesome carrying case. :)

Just got the Pelican Storm im2600 at 8:31PM personally from a UPS guy. He drove in his own car to deliver it. No really, the guy apologized for it getting in the wrong truck after I asked the live chat support about my very late package at 7:25PM. I really did not expect that. I've already got all the stuff from my laptop bag and they comfortably sit in the foam of the case. Gonna hit the hay tonight and I'll continue adding even more stuff to the case tomorrow! Already seems like it weighs 20 pounds but I have nothing against this case design. It's awesome!

So yeah. Been spending about three hours making it all nice.

Edit 8:27AM: Finished putting everything into the case and it's very spacious. Quote from my facebook.
Well I've pretty much finished my customizing my carry case and I knew it was gonna be heavy. It weighs nearly 24 pounds but I don't care. I nearly every tool for my repair work and my own 17" laptop in it. Plus I still have a little bit more room if I expand some of the foam downwards and use some small spaces that I've not yet used. I can't get over how awesome this case is.

Sure you can. In 11 years after he wraps it around a tree. :dopey:

11 years? Bah... I can do it in 6.

I kid. I like to think I drive well. In fact my friends give me a hard time for how slow I drive. I might be the slowest STI driver ever.

Soz Keef. I need some Frogskins in my life...

Didn't realize Oakley made Wayfarers.

My dad does not agree with me purchasing the case but I personally think I need to make a good impression if I go to a house to work on some computers. I'm already getting some ideas on how I can thin out the 1.75" thick foam(three layers of that) for storage of three 17" laptops(Thinking if I should cut 0.75" or 1" out of each layer).

I think you'd make a better impression by not needing to have 3 oversized laptops.

Or being able to type faster than your clients, since if I recall, you have a wpm of 30 or something?

The idea was to be able to store up to three laptops if it was possible to store three laptops. In this case it was not possible without getting thinner foam. Despite my slow typing speed I've been able to go through high school and college level typing. I think my typing speed is just fine.

Yes, a person's skill in computer technology is not limited by his typing speed. My client's did not tell me one single thing about my typing skill but rather concentrated on my ability to do a repair or troubleshooting on a computer. I prove my worth through my work and I got the case because I need the storage space and snow/rain protection(NY winters and fall/spring weather) for my equipment.

Steed CAI, good for a dyno proven 10hp from Steeda, but guys on the Focus forums have been upwards of 12hp.

And just some under-the-hood bling.

Congrats, dude!

Thanks! It's been vacant for almost a year from what I understand and there was some ants in there the last time I was up there, so we went to the house tonight with my RE agent and set off a few bug foggers. Going up tomorrow to air the place out and do some pre-move in carpet cleaning. I'll post pics of the man cave and my ghetto-rig once it's all set up.

Damn fine troll impression you've got there. 👎

Hardly trolling at all - someone working in computers should have skills that would relate to it. The average typist working in an office types faster than 30wpm, and while it seems silly, those kind of things do make impressions on people.

Much like how you aren't going to be overly keen on someone changing the wheels on your car if it takes them 3 times as long to get a lug nut off. Or have a photographer shoot your wedding if he is in full auto most of the time.

Basically, having the tools and toys will often make less of an impression than appearing more skilled at your specialty than your client.

Very true but I've not seen the need to improve my typing skills yet. If I feel the need I will load up a free touch typing program from the internet and improve it. As I've meant before I bought the case to improve my organization of my tools to make it easier and quicker to get to than fumbling through a laptop bag that looks kinda like an chunky oval that's overstuffed. Plus due to that the two outside pockets were always too easy to let rain and snow in from a brief walk and everything except for my laptop were exposed to water damage. I don't exactly don't want a tool(external HDD, power supply tester, universal HDD reader, etc...) of mine breaking down in front of a client and me ending up spending more cash to replace those. I'd much rather pay $125 on a carrying case with a lifetime warranty than for say a 500GB External HDD for 3/4ths of that price.

Got a new TV.

32 inch Toshiba Regza. Not the biggest tv I've had, but it will do the job nicely. If only I had my ps3 here with me...

When is your PS3 arriving, F1fan? Didn't you say you was getting it shipped over?

Well I have a few things to take care of, so it's still sitting in my mum's house right now. Once I get the important stuff out of the way, I'll arrange shipping. I'm too easily distracted, so it's best to just wait for now.

Ooh. Tokyo. I used to live in Minami-Aoyama, next to Roppongi Hills. Right next to Shibuya, which is an amazing place to buy electronics.

If you want the holy grail of electronics in Tokyo though, Akihabara is the place to be. It's literally named "Electronic City," as you might see when you go there ;) .

Back on topic, not my 'latest' purches, but there's nothing else interesting to post:

Aprilia RS 50. Only a 50cc, but it's all I can get for my age :P . Ah well, it's great, so whatever :P . It looks better from the front btw, but no pictures of that unfortunately.

A 2.1 amp USB car charger. With a GPS app running for ~3 hours straight and it plugged in to my 1 amp charger, it never charged at all. With my phone completely off for ~3 hours straight and it plugged in to my 1 amp charger, it never charged at all, despite my phone saying it was charging. Fingers crossed that this one works better.

Nice. I live in Mitaka, which is a little boring, however the closest station is Kichijoji, which is a very nice area. Inokashira park is nearby, and that is a beautiful small park. Just bought two cinema tickets for my wife and I. We're going to an all night movie in Ikebukuro tonight. And on the subject of Akihabara, it's very close to my favourite area. Ochanomizu aka Guitar town.

I think that's the same size and model of my TV. :D

Then I hope you'll be able to provide an excellent endorsement. It's still sitting in the box right now. :(

The TV company is coming out tomorrow for an installation. Yes, a Sunday. Even mail is delivered on a Sunday. Gotta love Japan. Upgrading to the HD channels which will include F1. 👍
