Something I have wanted for about 2 years.

My original 360 controller was starting to pull to the left so I bought this Halo 4 Forerunner 360 controller for $79.00 on ebay brand new. They usually go for about $100.00. :D

last 2 gaming purchases:
HORI PlayStation 3 Real Arcade Pro. N3-SA , Super Street fighter 4 Arcade Edition on steam. Now waiting for ultra upgrade. I am terrible at this game.

Because nostalgia yo. Also I never played GT3 before. I wanted to get Enthusia as well but it went out of stock :(
Did you check ebay? I was thinking of getting that too because I've never played it. I think they were $6 or so...

Yeah, there's only 1 on eBay and it's £20 ($33.59), which seems a bit steep considering it was £2 ($3.36) from the other site I was wanting to get it from. :(

Picked up some more music.

My Lazaretto by Jack White came in on Monday but could only pick it up today due to work.

And yes it's the ultra LP :D

Also picked up First Aid Kit - Stay Gold, it's an fantastic album and similar to their previous two albums.

Also got another local bands latest album. Sunshine Underground and it's a self titled album.

They're from Leeds, the city I work in. So so so good. A nice 80s vibe going on.

For me:

Stella had a pop-up shop downtown for Father's Day, with a lot of cool things available - oh, and free beer. The chalice came free, with an engraving too, so it fleshes out a small Father's Day gift; he's got a big birthday coming his way in August.

I don't like pre-ordering games. In fact this is my first per-order ever.
But it's the Witcher!

On the subject of new watches :D :D

tag-heuer-steve-mcqueen-monaco-automatic-chronograph-hi.jpeg

That's really nice. I've always been a fan of Tag but when it came time to get my most recent purchase I just couldn't bring myself to spend too much money. Initially I was thinking less than $1000 (still not enough for a proper new tag), but after a bit of thought I realized buying a "beater" for day to day wear (replacing my Tag) in the $1000 range would be overkill. Decided to go with the $500 or less approach and picked Victorinox over Hamilton since the only sub-$500 Hamilton was a Mechanical (not an auto).
Down the road I'll pick up a Hamilton Field Khaki Auto but that's just one more to the collection (currently have 5 or 6 vintage Hamiltons).

All that said, I'm definitely going to pick up a Rolex eventually. Sure it's a cliche and many younger people would prefer an Omega or Tag but in the end Rolex is genuinely the next level up (after Tag but still not at that Patek level).

Thanks 👍. Wear your purchase in good health mate :).

Yea, I know it boils down to a lot considering it's "just a watch", but I am in the position to get one and my collection has been building up to it for a bit.

Anyway, more story in the Watch Discussion thread.

Why?

My laptop got fried about a week ago. Thanks to a power surge and the maid not plugging the power supply back into the power strip. I'm pissed. But, I was looking for a new one. It's over three years old. Using Little Booger's laptop for the time being.

I just bought a new encloser for the HDD and transfered all the what I need into this one. Worked great. Back to somehwhat normal.

Any new laptop suggestions? I want a super-fast CPU and large SSD. Around $1,000 to spend on it. Maybe a bit more. Not into gaming, but into flash games, though.

You are not going to get a faster CPU and large SSD for under 1K.

Get a desktop if you are not going to be moving the laptop about.

I was thinking of doing just that. Better cooling, better way to upgrade parts and give me what I want.
