here's why I stay away from Express stores if possible:

and I bought this the other day but received it today. I got rid of my Xbox HDDVD player back before the initial price drop and eventual fall out of HDDVDs, but I had a ton of movies still. Picked this up for $100, not bad for a player + 6 movies, plus I can use it as an upscale player for my standard DVD's since I didn't have a standalone DVD player to use.

^Nice.

Been a while since I bought a model, but I picked these 3 up today. Was surprised to find a Superleggera. Still need a LP640, Reventon, & a Diablo 6.0 to complete a modern collection.

Well, my Silence-Lotto outfit has arrived 👍 I also recieved a Quicksilver shirt and shorts for my birthday from my girlfriend, she bought it when she was in Australia :) I also recieved a little souvenir from Hong Kong, a little wooden boat, pretty neat 👍

I'm right now looking into cameras, it'll probably be a Nikon D40X, though I don't know when I'll be purchasing it, may be a month or two before it's here :)

-snip-

Do you have any more pictures of the Gallardo? I'm interested in picking one up and that I'm digging that color scheme. Also, where do you have any ideas where you can pick up a Reventon? I've been looking around but can't seem to find it.

I'll snap some more, tomorrow, then.

As for the Reventon, I've find some smaller models such as 1:43, but I think you'll have to look online for 1:18 Reventons. If I find one, I'll update this post for you. :)

EDIT: It's made in Egypt too. Sweet.

Very nice! Not making your own speakers anymore? ;)

Nope. This unit was $100, and sounds just fine. It'd cost me that much just to have the speaker box made. :ouch:

Plus, I push these to the limit and get a replacement for five years, if they blow. If they last me longer than that, like the original center channel speaker it now replaces, it's no big cost to me to replace it. :)

Plus, plus, I dont have to calculate a new crossover design, which is always a welcomed relief! 👍

EDIT: Oh, I just got my Cavalry 750GB external HDD back from repairs, and it doesn't work! Bah!

I hope thats a hard case and not a silicone case. Dirt can get trapped inside the silicone case (and even a hard case) and rub some nasty scratches into your phone.

Got myself a pair of Evisu - Nikko B&W canvas shoes. I love them they fit so nice.

And the time has finally arrived. I have entered into the HD revolution.

New 42" 1080p LCD TV.

And on the new stand I also got with it.

First of all, please ignore the mess. We had only partially cleaned up from the construction when I took this.

I am very happy with it. We bought it last night and by the time we borrowed an SUV, bought them both, took them back to our house, took the SUV back, had dinner, bought an HDMI cable (overpriced), and got home it was after 10:00 PM. I finished building the stand and hooking everything up by about 4:30 AM. My wife passed out at 2:00 AM and so everything after the stand was finished was done by myself. My hands are extremely sore.

I ran the THX video optimizer that came with the Bourne Demo on it and it has helped the brightness levels and color, but I still need a complex optimizer for it. I'm going to see what they have on Newegg, unless someone has a good recommendation (D-N?).

As you can see we do not have an HDTV package yet, but I don't know if I need it. It is picking up about 12 HD channels as is.

Not sure if it's the same in the US, but some Panasonic models here come with a Digital HD TV receiver built-in.

WooHoo...You are all that and a bag of chips now. How are you "picking up" HD channels?
I set it up to auto-search my cable (extended-basic 1-77 channels package) and it found 12 digital channels, including a few local PBS stations, ESPN, ESPN 2, NBC, local NBC affiliate 24-7 weather channel, local CBS affiliate 24-7 weather channel, and even a TNT channel.

So, my first at-home HDTV experience last night was to watch Michael Phelps have the closest, most amazing gold medal win I've seen this year. But between ESPN and NBC, I believe I am well suited for football. I may have some others, but they didn't show a station Id at the time and it is hard to tell what you are watching at 4:00 AM.

Yeah it has a built-in HDTV tuner but I wasn't aware my cable company has some channels running on the basic analog line up. If I had been searching antenna channels that would have been different. But I doubt I would be getting ESPN either.

Welcome to the Vizio family, FK. Nice TV. :)

I'll be gunning for the 505 when we get the basement cabinets in.

Whenever I get something new, I borrow a co-workers Avia disc. Problem is it's now 9 years old and more than a little has changed in home theaters in that time. Enter the new version, Avia II. I haven't used it and reviews on Amazon are mixed, so procede with caution. The Avia II is also available at Wal*Mart, Target and BestBuy.
