Well, since I bought a pair of boots for my single leg, I have also bought a small-ish keyboard for my single arm :P

25 meters of this rubber profile to replace the ****** strips the housing cooperation used. I'm sick and tired of feeling draft coming from the windows in a house with the highest energy saving label.

Bosch HBG6764S6B built-in single oven with Home Connect. I don't know what Home Connect is but I'm betting it's not an idiotic marketing term for the plug.

The glass door exploded on the current oven so an emergency replacement has been purchased and fitted in time for Christmas. Somehow we were persuaded to buy a Neff induction hob too. I am weak.

I think that home connect stuff is where you can turn on your oven from your phone, like if you're on your way home from work. I was talking to an appliance repair guy not too long ago, and he said the next big thing is ovens that are also "refrigerators". You can put say a casserole in before you go to work, and it will keep it cool. Whatever time you set it to cook, it will switch to an oven and cook it, then keep it on warm until you get home, or even cool it and keep it refrigerated until you want to warm it again to eat it.

Don't tell me that after I've just bought this! I want one NOW! :P

It's the kind of appliance that say "I'm sorry Dave Steve, I'm afraid I can't cook that."

That's what the little circle in the display is for. Flee the house when it glows red.
Two Thousand and Bun?

Still adore my copy of this lens but don't get to use it enough. Your and @35mm's recommendation to get it was a fantastic one.

Yeah that focal length on a crop sensor is a bit of a handful and pretty requires live view to nail focus. Was awkward on my 5Dii as well when it came to focusing.

@35mm - didn't expect the handling to be this nice on the a7... I think I'd made the lens out larger in my memory than it really is. Certainly more manageable than my 135/2L which is basically a Canon (heh) when mounted on the a7. Excited to shoot portraits on it this week.

Awesome, @TB! :gtpflag:

I'm not sure why you only received one tracking number, but I just checked and it's coming to you via an entirely different route... despite the fact that both were mailed at the exact same time, from the same place. I'll PM you the other tracking number now.

Alrighty, excluding the various Christmas gifts purchased over the last week, Uniqlo has continued to slowly take over my entire wardrobe:

Selvedge stretch denim, skinny stretch denim in "wine" and "dark green", chinos in dark gray, ribbed crewneck, and the non-Uniqlo item of the bunch.

Oh yeah, and bought a two kilos of pork that's currently cooking in the oven for the office potluck tomorrow. Which required some more of this stuff:

A curtain to cover the draft coming from my front door. Currently testing it, holding it in place with magnets. Should be able to notice a difference in an hour or so.

True. It balances really well and it's comfortable to carry when grabbing the combo by the lens, near the mount.

Have fun. 👍
