19º in my region clasification chart best time

So my 2 best bobs level 37 and 38 best time is 4:59:XX or worst

so i will continue trying

thanks 👍

Okay, I am just gonna sink into a corner now, someone just pulled a 9:49 on monza, I can't even calculate how that is possible, even with the optimal route though the pack. Guess my spot in the finals was not as safe as I thought.. back to the drawing board :)
seriously.... that would require a 2:00 opener and steady 1:57:4's.... how? Glad I am not in the spanish bracket, you guys are tearing it up at the moment.

Marxgorm
Thanks, but i'm really upset with my Monza's times. I have to work very hard to annihilate this time-difference. 9:49 on monza - how can it be possible? May be its time to get another Bob.

On each track, what lap & at what location of the track should we be hitting 1st place? What is the best strategies after taking 1st? Is it best just to continue hitting increase pace 1 after the other when you take the lead?

track 1, you want to be first as you start third lap
track 2, you want to be first as you start third lap
track 3, god knows, after people started doing 9:49's I have no clue.
Track 4, you want to be first as you start your 4th lap and you want smooth overtakings of the 2-3 cars you are gonna lap on laps 9 and 10.
track 5, you want to be first before starting second lap.

Strategies after taking first depends on your bob of choice, some bobs respond well to a high pace, while some bobs require downpacing in certain areas of the map to avoid wheelspins or grass/gravel time. you want smooth laps to make a decent time.
Some bobs do awsome solo laps and some are better at overtaking into corners and some are better overtaking inside corners, you need a bob with a little bit of both and still able to keep a good pace though the course.

and ionah, I am unhappy with monza as well now, so I am gonna go work on it again for the next days, I was so proud of my old time too, and then it gets absolutely shattered. Oh well :)

Quick question for anyone thats any good at this....

Are you using one 'ultimate' bob or are you tailoring a number of different bobs to be good at specific tracks? Thanks:)

my times are set with 2 different bobs, but my other 2 have times very close to my "main" times, so I would assume that one bob would suffice to reach the current top 15 in the world. It takes a LOT of practice and timing though, you are truly gonna hate B-spec when you are finished with it.. 3 weeks and 1 day to go...

Out of interest, how hot or cold are your main drivers, and the other two that are close? My PS3 has been doing B-Spec more or less non-stop to get up to Level 35 since getting the X2010. I'm about 4 Suzuka 1000KM away from it, then it will be on 24/7 doing the Le Mans for over a week in time for me to see if I'm competitive enough for this competition. I will do notes like you are doing as it will only save time.

1 hot, 1 cold and 2 middle bobs, the middle ones are pulling the best times, but I think it is more stat related than "hot" and "cold" related.
on another note, I managed to take my monza time down to 9:52:2xx, still a mile away from the 2 spanish dudes, but 4th worldwide can't be that bad.
I really want to know how they did the 9:49s though.. I have 3 weeks to figure it out, and when I do, I am not sharing :P

Looks like you are almost there in the final, how far ahead are you from the same people in your competing regions? I will be happy to do any times to get into the Top 2 of people in UK. First time I tried it, I think I was over 10 seconds of the pace in two or three laps out of 5 of the first event, so I hope when I get to Class 40 and get a good strategy, I will be lapping close. How long did it take you to do your top times after you hit Class 40? Will 3 days (12 hours each) non-stop be enough?

It's weird how it feels even slower when he is getting higher in level! I wish I had more time to focus on this and then I could dominate!

I'm happy just to get to the finals!

I lead my region by 11.3 seconds on total time. Might sound much, but I am not confident at all when it is 22 days remaining. I think I have spent about 12 hours game time on each track, maybe a bit more especially on monza. However, I have been a bit too reluctant to scrap imperfect openings and been "satisfied" in positions where I could have improved earlier on. Best advise I have is that it is better to start back on square one if you feel stuck than to try and work out positions late in the race.

i´ve noticed that after certain level bob is decreasing in lap times now is more slower than he was level 37 :nervous:

i´m going crazy A-Spec competition will be more easy for us 👍

What level are your Bobs now? There's been a couple of threads about this happening...

Hmm i havent a S.e. Only a C.e. So please tell me that i wouldnt have been allowed in even i have the sls stealth. Wish i had found this topic last year lol

Argh, now someone destroyed Sarthe too ! 12:55? are you godamn kidding me?
managed a 2:00:4xx opener on monza but completely unable to tie it into a good second lap since the block at the chicane is 3 cars wide when I reach it.
I guess I have to make a new bob to compete with the french and spanish crazy people now :)
Thanks for keeping the competition interesting I suppose, but 12:55 at Sarthe is surreal, I though my 12:57 was absolutely flawless, I passed the GTR before the porshe curves even, I cant comprehend how you they did those 2 tracks.
Oh well.

level 39 and make worst laps than in level 37 👎

doubt that, check the times when you are leading the pack on the indy oval. your lap 4 and 5 should decrease with .1 pr level from 37 to 40 has been like that for my last 3 bobs, it might be all in your head. Unless you career bar is full your bob will not decrease in abillities.

Sure, in a A spec competition you can donwload the leader gosth to see if is real but in this B spec surreal you can´t but i want to see a replay

Its real, as long as it is possible in theory it can happen in reality, just requires an awsome bob and a lot of slipstream and clean overtakes on the first lap I suppose :) 3:17.8xx laps atleast are possible on the last 2 laps of sarthe, maybe even a bit lower so that makes 12:55:9xx possible with a 3:19:3xx opener, but how that is supposed to happen I have not figured out yet. I have done a 4:20:7xx in my best run.
Will keep trying atleast, it is nice to see times that I can work towards getting.

Man this competition is difficult, I can break into the top 20 but after that... still about a second off the pace in most races.
There seems to be far too many variables out of your control.
1. Your bob stats are based on luck mainly. Better stats = better bob, no question.
2. Each race has about 3 sets of possible AI for the cars. Some lend to much quicker times of about 1-2 seconds, some make it easier and some just have roadblocks at certain points. You have to keep restarting and retrying for the good AI which is annoying.
3. Bob just doesn't listen sometimes, especially on the Indy course, arguably the easiest, you tell him overtake, and he darts from left to right braking down 40+km/h slower than he usually takes a corner. WTF? It's infuriating.

1. yes
2. more like roughly 15-20 sets, when you start doing 12h sessions on one track to improve time you will notice tiny miniscule differences.
3. you are too close to the car ahead when entering the straight, bob does not like that.. keep pace lower in the corner and exit in slipstreaming range and pass the AI cleanly, watch your time improves. ALL tracks require efficient slipstreaming and pace management to break into the top 10 worldwide times.

Marxgorm.. have you made any new (after the initial ones) lvl 40 bobs using just the Nurb 24h race (3,7mill xp)? How many million XP / bob is needed to reach lvl 40? I will find out soon, but if you already know would be nice to hear in advance 👍

no, I level my bobs exclusivly on suzuka and tsukuba, suzuka while I sleep and tsukuba when I go to work, I need to play every day so the pace my bobs 40. have to suffer. takes about 1 week from 0-40 for each bob using that leveling strategy. I got 4 bobs at 40, 1 39 and 1 35. might have to reset the worst one to make a final one, but time will tell if that is needed.

Ah.. makes sense..

I will try to catch you, but my bobs are still in development!! :) But surely you aren't making it easy!! Much kudos to you sir for the great times and still helping others! 👍

Thanks for the tips, I'm not in your countries bracket, so no direct competition there ;)
I'd love to be in the final, I don't care if i didn't win the SLS, I'd just love to visit the test track in Europe and drive it
