Rohrl-fan - Heh, funnily enough I was the opposite; I always loved the car! But I never thought to take shots of it until after the CampusCup, since it's more of a sentimental thing now. Thank you
Rev. - Thanks bud, no love for the verts?
. I really am happy with #7, though I had to fix up the front-end's shadow a bit... I think the car bounced the way it did because I found a badly-mapped part of the course. Not like I'm going to go back to try and beat my time anytime soon
.
MKthree - Thanks, it felt odd knocking the saturation down as much as I did as opposed to what I normally do (knock it up to about 20 or 25). But it really suited the combo, imo. Glad you agree!
Turbo - My primary concern with this set was getting the sense of speed I had doing that run, but second was unique angles (#6 for example). Thanks
Neocrox - Thank you 👍
JFM92 - I think I've got the basis of it down, though I do it a bit differently than others (PS7 for me). #9 actually had about 12 layers at one point, each with subtley different zoom blurs. Then it was just erasing bits and pieces to get a more curved blur, then some smudging to finish the deal. There's some rough spots, namely the top right, but that was just me forgetting to erase certain parts. It's definitely something I'll keep trying now and then, good luck to the both of us?
Garnett - Thanks, though there's probably three times as many as I put up that are far from smooth
.
Vonie - Thank you! As for #8, I can't take credit for that type of shot, it was inspired by Franz' awesome Cobra one. I just do it every now and then because I really love it. Oddly enough, I found that angle on Laguna before I realized it was on Sear's Point. I've found the around-the-corner blurs look more artificial when they're stuck beside similar shots without it. Of course, mine isn't on par with Rev's or Franz', but that's just what I've noticed. I wanted to end on that shot because I'm just crossing the line, so maybe that's it?
Perfect Balance and
wrxrex - Thanks guys
Magburner - You're too kind, thanks for stopping by the gallery, I will definitely have a look at your's.
Krame - In that case, my goal was a success. Glad you like 'em all
Diabolical - Yep, the pictures were taken about a week ago and it's been a slow, slightly frustrating build-up since. I really wanted to get this update done closer to win the CC was, but there was a lot of that pesky "real-life" thing getting in the way. #7 stuck out for me because I really noticed the discolouring around the exhaust with that one. That and the car's apparently floating
. #6 was a fluke shot, but I wanted to show the Corkscrew and that was one of the best ways I could find. Thanks for the congrats, and I'm already working on the beginnings of a new update, so hopefully it goes over as well as this one
Franz - Heh, thanks. Y'know, I tried your Astra idea a week before the contest and while it would definitely work against the JGTC's on a less twisty track, it just didn't feel like it has as much downforce on Laguna. However, I think I had a 1'17 with it, so it's in the ballpark. The guy from Ottawa was a funny guy
. Thanks again, man 👍
