Wow, I thought I had commented on this, but I just noticed I havn't, great pics dude, makes me want to go take pics of the same car.
Also, you might not be happy with this update, but the pics are great, and we like it.

Wauw, SlipZtrEm really are very good photos, the angles are very worked. I like the 5th, 7th and 8th. Very nice work 👍 :)

Great update with the XJ220 slipshot

I really like the quality and look of your pics, very good 👍 👍

That 2nd big picture is just full of speed and action, my favorite of the set

Slipztrem
How did you do in campus cup?
my time is 1:25:2xx with Opel Astra DTM
lots of room to improve imo
I heard someone said the best time from other campus was 1:16
that's amazing

however I won the 2nd place with 3 games
and lost to a Korean who took shortcut at the cockscrew :yuck:

btw ... do you know where is the best place to sell my unopened games?

edit> nice shots for XJ220 ... probably the best monaco shots I have seen so far
speaking of update ... how did you manage that while exam is coming?
have to say I am going to screw up this term ... too much fun with photomode :P

I don´t think the car looks out of place. Especially in #14 and #15, the pics with the car partly hidden. These are pics of the "Look what car I shot in Monaco" kind. And where in the world are the chances of seeing this car on the road quite high? In Monaco. Beautiful pictures! 👍

Prost!

The CR-X Brothers @ New York

___________________________

Update: Yes, they are a bit dark, aren't they? Wanted a different feel from the typical NYC shots, so I tried for a little dusk/dawn theme. The black car is one of my first GT4 purchases; fully lightened and tightened with a cage, with the B16 sticking to natural aspiration and pumping out around 186hp. Tasty Mugen wheels and a suspension setup that is pretty neutral for a front-driver, and the wing is functional; I jack the front downforce up and leave a minimal amount for the rear. The blue car on the other hand has a bit harder rubber on those 1st-gen NSX Type-R rims, is a bit heavier, but has a turbo for 230hp. Softer, in a sense, doesn't require a neck-wringing :).

Ving - Thank you :)

Perfect Balance - You should! I had a hard time convincing myself it was worth the 700K credits. I've warmed to the Jag shots since I posted them, but I still am not completely satisfied.

Chocobo - Thanks for stopping by, I'm glad you enjoyed 5 and 7, those are two I am proud of :)

Fletch - Ever since the slipstreaming PMC2.0, I've been toying with the zoom blur a bit more. That second big shot is more subtle with the filter, but I'm happy with how it turned out compared to my "lightspeed" earlier attempts .

Franz - Heh... I had managed a 1:16.406... at home with the DFP. At the York event, I didn't do better than a 1:18.2 in the WoodOne, but that was enough to get first place (second was a 1:20.0xx). I had mentioned that practice time to the organizers, so maybe that's why they're mentioning it. 1:17.8xx was the fastest official school time though.

As for selling the unopened games... I can only think of one place to tell you to not go, and that's EB. I was curious about the price of my unopened PSP, and they said I'd get $160 for it, whether it was unopened or not, it counts as used. I'll probably end up keeping it (was going to sell it to make up for the DFP purchase, but I'm getting a bit of extra shifts at work to make up).

Thanks for the kind words on the XJ220 shots, but really, I've seen some really good Monaco shots around the board. That being said, I'm not going back there anytime soon. As for time; I got lucky with my schedule, no exams this semester since I only have year-long courses. I'm sure I'll be crying for a lighter load come April though ;).

BJC - That's what I was going for with those shots; an unexpected "wow, an XJ220" feeling. It still feels a bit out-of-place to me, in the sense that you don't see an XJ on the street too often, especially since Monaco's course is made up of public roads. But you're right; in Monaco, anything is a common sight ;).

Enjoy :)

Dude, that picture with the 2 CR-X's in one pic looks freakin' sweet. The rest of the pics are excellent too. What pic is that with the CR-X, Evo, and is that the GTO? or the Monardo?

That's a nice set of pics, 👍 but the jag update was better IMO.
I like the feeling of the ''orange'' batch, the 'normal' ones don't appeal to me as the orange, they got a really warm and enjoyable feel over them. 👍

BTW please drop by my gallery sometime, I want to know your opinion on the way I'm going with my style of pics.

dude i love that pic of the 2 crxs. that car isnt the best looking car in the world but that pic makes them look awsome! lol can you imagine being the guy driving the yellow nsx seeing a crx getting ready to overtake you! good update 👍 👍

I like the cooler tone of the second part of the set, but my favourite shots are from the first part, especially the verts.

#4 of the blue Crx, though, is amazing.

I'm not a fan of dark pictures, but I can't say I'm not surprised with the result.
The big PhotoTravel shot was a nice touch as well.

👍

i luv them suzuki S2's i gotta get one of those when i next go back on, never knew they looked that good.

For chance does anyone know how much BHP a stock suzuki S2 has?

Lots and lots and great updates since the last time I posted. Umm, where to start? I’ll just comment on the sets I love most.

The Wallpaper Group One update is great; I grabbed a few for later use. Thanks for putting them up.

The Silver Arrows @ El Capitan & Seoul batch had some beautiful shots, I especially like the panoramas (duh?). I can never seem to get a half decent shot at Seoul, so kudos to you. 👍

And I freakin’ LOVE the Jaguar XJ220 @ Cote D'Azur shots, not a bad one amongst them. But this is probably my favorite shot from this update, it’s just so damn cool. In my opinion, this is your best update yet.

👍 👍

Update: I always see such clear, white shots of Ice Arena, and the lack of angles on such a short track have kept me away from it. But I wanted to try and imitate those cool aluminum-look Audis, and I realize the heavy tinting of the images might turn people off. It's been forever; I've only had time for comps since I went back to the steel plant for the holidays (good money for a poor student ;)). But tomorrow is my last shift, so the gallery will be updated regularly again. I'm also going to get that front post up-to-date. Unfortunately, I'm on my way out, so I can't respond to all the comments from the past update; but I will next chance I get, which is probably tomorrow.

Enjoy! :)

Cool pics, Slip. Literally and figurative.
I like those scenery shot taken from a helicopter, so my fav is automaticly 3. 👍
But the one to last one and the 6th one have a really good compostition, so I guess those are my favs too. 👍

Wow, cool shots. The blue tinti looks good because you used it over and over, so all the pics lok good together. If it was all regular, and then one blue pic, it would look out of place.

Update: I'm bumping this up because an update is coming in a few hours, and I realized I have to make up for not responding to all these comments! I also feel the need to explain my infrequent updates in the face of a good length of regular ones; a few people know I lost my memory cards for a bit, which definitely didn't help, but the past two weeks have seen me out of the house a lot with... a certain someone :D. Real life takes priority... but my late-night time is split between sorting out music for the 'Pod and fiddling with GT. My hint for the update?

Earth, Wind, Water, Fire

:)

(CRX Comments)
EKMatt - The car in question was a Monaro. The CRX tore huge chunks out of their gap when they hit turns, and even up to the 3rd gear change... but that's when the triple amount of torque made itself apparent ;).

GTChampion & Zoxxy - Thanks to both of you :)

Sejtur - I agree, the XJ220 update was better than the CRX's. And since that comment a month ago, you've won a bunch of comps. I think you made a good choice!

Pain Killer - Thanks! I was waiting for an NSX to show for just that reason; the little brother kicking the crap out of the halo model :D

Fletch - I don't know if you meant the 4th of the "warm" batch, or of the "cool" batch. The former was problematic because of the pixelation in the foreground, but if that's the one you liked, than I'm happy!

Diabolical - I found myself feeling nearly the same when I did that update; the warmer portion had nicer angles, but I liked the bluer images. I'm trying to move away from this darker-image funk I've got myself into; I want to try something different, but so many other people have done some remarkably original things, I can't think of anything that's "new". I have an idea, but no clue how I'll pull it off...

Krame - Thank you :)

GT_HAVOK - The S2's a ball... I believe it had 180-200hp when I won it, iirc :)

Tabs - Thanks for dropping in! I don't know when, but I'll probably get along to doing another Wallpaper update within about two weeks; I have a lot of nice shots from the newer sets and also some leftover comp shots. Seoul was very hard to take shots at; not as hard as Ice Arena for me, though. As for the Jaguar, I'm really shocked you like it that much! I was hesitant about that update because of how badly Monaco and I get along, and because there's some bad rendering on that car. I'm still not sure if it's my best, but I have warmed up to it considerably. Thanks :)

(A3 Comments)
Sejtur - I hadn't done a really far-away shot like that in a while, and never quite that dramatic, so it was interesting. Probably the most interesting angle available on that track ;). The second-last shot is one of the spectators, and that was a complete accident of a shot, while the 6th shot, I really wanted to give the feeling of coming close to those curved inside walls. Unfortunately the exposure killed it a bit :indiff:

Perfect Balance - C'mon, I only ever do a uniform look to a whole update (well, Wallpapers and multiple-car updates aside) ;). It was the easiest way for me to make the car look aluminum in my eyes; it just seems like evening to me.

EKMatt - I appreciate your honesty :)

Vonie & Kenny - Thanks as always, you two 👍

Those shots of the a3 are very nice! I love the bluish tint oyu put in every single one of them! Sure makes them special! The car is actually also a hit! Not often seen it here! The front of it looks agressive which is nice captured in the pictures. Especially in the last one. btw: my brother onws that car in real life!

good work

This is the one I meant :)
