Woa!! You're right, the R34 rims fits perfectly. But the most impressive are the photos themselft of corse, the brutal supercomplex reflections of first one, and the incredible angle/composition of second one. I really love this update, very very effective.

A ton of creativity, yes, I've been finding a new camera during hours in this place, but you've found one impossible, argh! All structure creates so cool background...

More please.

Funkshen - First, let me say it's funny you mention inspiration, because lately I haven't had a whole lot either. The gallery only shows the nice bits; it doesn't show the half-dozen other sets I've tried that didn't turn out satisfactory. And the realism of the second shot's background was the primary focus for it, so I'm glad you picked up on it!

Ultrashot - Yeah, I spent a fair amount of time cleaning up, but the problem to me is that now some stuff looks too blurry. But thank you!

Drift2XS - Thanks for checking out both! I've really been trying to get back to the style the gallery had at the beginning. It seems everyone lately is shooting for a single style judging by recent comps, and that particular style gets old fast for me. So I'm trying to keep things simple and realistic... Tabs' old gallery is a prime example :). Though I still plan on doing the more extreme shots every now and again.

Cascada - I noticed I have a habit of either showing as little or as much of the scenery as possible in shots, no middle ground. I feel it gives a better sense of the shot to show a lot; I only show a little when I want a specific detail of the car focused on. But I'm glad you liked it!

C_F, D_P, and JFM - Thanks all of you guys! 👍

jgda9rs - As I said, I normally steer clear from this location, and I also know the Z itself can be bad for reflections, so I wasn't expecting these to turn out well at all. But other than the obvious cleanup, there wasn't much done, so I suppose there are small spots in the "bad jaggie" locations that pull them off alright ;). Thanks!

Krame - While I'm not too happy with the first shot full-size, the thread image looks a lot better, and I agree; I think I could pass it off as a real shot if printed as a 4 x 6. Which is actually what I plan on doing for a bunch of cheap little Christmas gifts for a few car-loving friends, just as something small. Maybe that old Celica shot too ;).

DK - Thanks!

Alex - Those reflections were the reason I took the first pic, and I remember thinking "this is going to be a lot of work". It was mostly just to challenge myself with the amount of cleanup! I find a lot of ways for creating some unique shots is to place the car somewhere, then move the camera to a spot where the car placement is normally not allowed. It works well :)

Information: New update coming either later tonight or tomorrow!

Update: First off, I'm sorry for another single-image update; I really did have a larger one planned. But, it did not go off as expected, so this little guy had to do. Actually, there's more shots from this combo, but they are all the "default" angles I usually use at Infineon. Hell, this one is too... which is why I'm only submitting you to one "already seen it" kinda shot . I wanted it to look like an old ad found in the pages of an equally old magazine. Again, a lot of cleanup, so take a gander at the full-size. Enjoy!

Hmm, to be honest, this kind of shots are not my style so I cannot say I love it. The visibility of the work you've done to the picture is taken away by the grainyness as well, but from what I can see, the hood is top notch cleaned up, thumbs up fro that 👍 The colors are a little too color"less" as well, I'd preferre this one alot more colorfull with a softglow filter 👍

But all in all, it's a good picture, but definitly not your best ;)

Leave a comment at my gallery when you've got some time :D It's good to have good people around to give me tips 👍

It's kinda different from your usual style,, But I like it a lot.. The surroundings,, colors,, grain.. They all contribute to the "vintage car feeling" It just makes the car stand out a lot:)👍 It's not up to your usual standart but it sure is awesome:D

I would have to agree with Ultra on this one, although, i still love it, its just not my favorite style...but nice job!

I like this style alot and you don't see it much. It definately captures the vintage feel. Its refreshing to see something like this. Great job slip!

it looks more like a colored newspaper ad, pretty good for what it's intended for. you achieved your goal and i'm happy with the way it is too. i would have loved to see it in black and white though. i bet that would look stunning with a bit of red or sepia tint. other than that, it looks great.

I like the Camero shot, something interesting that I haven't seen before. It really does look like an old ad or photo with the colours and grain effect. That car looks good in red, I have it in red too. :D Great work. 👍

Check out my new ZZII update, would like to get you comments. :)

Update: Yes, another single-shot update... I really don't mean to keep doing this, but unfortunately the other shot I was intending for this car wouldn't turn out. It took skills beyond my ability to do the other angle, so you're stuck with this one. Anyways, there's a EK hatch at the steel mill I work at in the summer with an Acura EL front-end, and since there's no EL in GT4, I figured I'd put the ITR's nose on, and then some Euro-R rims. Enjoy!

Ultrashot - I understand what you mean, and I did feel like I was destroying some of the cleanup work I did when I added the noise, but I find it really suits older cars. ALPHA did a really nice set with an E-Type a long while ago and that was what got me thinking about doing my own. Besides, the forums would be very boring very quickly if everyone focused on a single bright style ;).

Cascada - Thanks for being honest! It does feel... unfinished compared to some of my other stuff, and I think it's mostly down to the camera positioning, but I'm glad you still enjoyed it :)

D_P - As with Cascada, thanks for being honest man

GR21 - I'm so happy to hear that, because that was the goal. It seems lately a lot of the board is pre-occupied with a single style, so I wanted to explore something different. I'm glad it really appealed to at least one person!

Kraft_D - It's the first time I've used noise on a shot (other than added texture on road-blurs), so I'm glad it's not overpowering, only complimenting :).

JGDA9RS - Y'know, I was so tempted to go with sepia, I agree it'd look good. I think I might do an entry in the near future with it, so who knows. A straight red tint looked kind of odd in Photoshop, but who knows, it's all a matter of personal tastes. Either way, thanks man!

LGForce & DJSkyline - Thank you both!

Drift2XS - Will do man, glad you enjoyed it!

haha! that civic's not bad at all. it's just the front end's black is a little different from the rest of the car, still not a bad pic overall. i would have gone with the jdm front end, but then that's just me. you think you can do a RX-7 FD3S with a RUF front end ? it's a popular trend in japan :D

 That new front is really cool, but the best for me is the amazing blur and that brutal rims!!! Oghh, stunning combination!

Salu2.alexwrc

I like the combo ... good job 👍
I'd say the angle of the ITR front slightly not match the Civic
It is hard to get it right but you may try to take a few more shot for safety
btw there're too many interesting cars in T.O.
I am amazed everytime when I visit the chinese mall

It's awesome mate,, I love the cleanlyness ( is that a word?) of the car,, It's super clean and the reflections are top-notch mate..👍 I love the blur,, because it lets you see some of the background too,, It's not overblurred,, If you are still following me :) Awesome work mate:tup:

Mid-update Update!

Well, with Rev acting as an extra set of eyes, I've fixed what's been bothering me about the Civic. As mentioned, the colour of the front is slightly off (check the game, the cars have a very slightly different colour), and the one reflection ended very abruptly at the shutline. Well, both of those things are fixed now, I matched the body colour to within a few small RGB amounts. So if you already looked and commented, please let me know what you think of the new one.

Honda Civic Type-R (ITR Nose) Fixed!

Sweet, awesome 👍

It just fits the Civic perfectly there 👍 You might post this shot to the Honda factory when they ever need a new idea

It looked good before Slip, but I see you have made it look better with the reflection and closer colour match. Great work, really like that picture. :)

JGDA9RS - Well, I fixed the colour, so I'll skip over that part ;). As for the JDM front end, I figured that's more common, so I wanted to do something different. Though the colour problem would've been eliminated! As for the RX-7/RUF thing, I don't think I have the talent for such a diverse swap, but I'll keep it in mind 👍

Cod_Father - Agreed, but I really did want it to match up. That's why I fixed it ;).

NTX1982 - Thanks man, but the majority of the work was just lining up the shots in GT!

Alex - Haha, I really do love those rims, so this was a good excuse to use them! As for the blur, I found a neat little trick in PS7 to keep the blur clean without the noise that sometimes pops up :).

Franz - Well, I think you might be on to something with the angle, but I tried to get it as near to the Civic as possible (to the point of measuring distances between random places). But the main problem: the Integra and Civic have different widths! So that created a bit of a problem. I couldn't agree more about Toronto; I've spoted a Vanquish, Countach, and more than a few 360/430's, not to mention the modded cars that stand out every so often!

Cascada - Thank you man, and yes, it's a word ;). To be fair, the reflections at Beacon Hill themselves are pretty clean, so I didn't do a whole lot in that department. As for the blur; yeah, I tried to make it as slight as possible while still looking decent with the rims, because I wanted the details to still be visible. Glad you like it

Rev - Thanks for being my eyes, man!

Funkshen - Well, because it went over so well, there's a few other nosejobs I've been considering for future updates. I hate to admit it, but Photoshop generally provides the greatest possibility of providing the gallery forum with something truly unique ;).

Ultrashot - I'm not sure they'll go back to an old car, those crazy Honda guys... but as there's a good chance I'll be ending up with an Integra in a year, I have a few (obviously pipe)dreams ;).

Drift2XS - I'm glad you like it, because it will be available as a wallpaper whenever I get around to the next batch... so judging by the past, nearly a year ;).

725 - It's my goal to have some interest in the whole image, not just the car, so the colours are a must in my mind. Now where's that gallery?!

Lots and lots of great shots, man. But this one is my favorite:

The composition is awesome, I ****ing love it.

I'm just seeing this 300 one more time, and I still can't believe so well defined reflections. Even the subtle deformed bonet creates a very reallistic effects. It doesn't seem from GT4...
