Wow, the format is excellent, maybe the best one I've seen! Very sophisticated too. I like both of the picture. 👍: Good work!

Nice update Slip, anyway I wonder if you will be posting any updates up on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

Impressive presentation, impressive wide format, impressive work. Just impressive! Impressive comment huh? lol

Danger: Excessive stylish presentation maker :scared:

Slipztrem is always good at graphic design stuff
look at H2H comp headers, his gallery banner and signitures
they are always simple and stylish
as long as he get inspired, he can get it done better than others
but I have to say this presentation is slightly different from his usual stuff
I mean better actually ... sort of reminds me event ticket or cd single cover design
and for the panoramas, they are good but I don't see it as spectacular
I prefer more stuff going on like your old time Mercedes pack :D

BTW I still love this old Celica rally car since I saw JMX's banner
the detail is very impressive
definitely one of the best modeled in GT4

Damn, I really lovin all of you presentations lately. Like franz said, your really good at that kind of thing. Their really making me want to an update again, once I get done with this semester that is.

Mindblowing pictures and stunning presentation, all i can say is Wow.

Update Info: So there's a good chance of an update being posted at some point within the next 24 horus. I'm going to be away from the house for a day, but not with anything particularly to do other than play video games, so I want to get one more update in before a planned Christmas/New Year's one. It's worth a shot, anyways ;). So, to get replying out of the way first...

Ultrashot - First off, thanks for the indepth response, it's nice to read! I took your advice and made it a bit more obvious about where to click, and yes, the grey tone was the goal. The weather here at the time reflected that ;).

Funkshen - As always, thank you mate .

Drift2XS, D_P, jgda9rs, & GT4_Rule - Thank you all of you for coming in and taking a look :).

725 - This update uses absolutely no post-GT blurring, so yes, good eye :).

TVR - I most likely will have a Christmas update, though my day looks hectic!

LGForce - My favourite as well, it took a while to stitch together just right, but I'm happy it turned out. It's too bad panos can't be printed or even really enjoyed as a wallpaper!

Kraft_d - Thanks, the program I use takes most of the work out of it, but with GT shots there's a lot of fine-tuning and more custom stuff done by hand, as it's used to real photography ;).

Alex (and afterwards, Ultrashot) - Thanks guys, but in reality I was just looking to make something simplistic, and that shot was a throwaway single shot done inbetween the panos. Judging by Ultra's first impression, I may have been too minimal ;).

Franz - You figured out my inspiration! JMX's banner was what got me to go after this car, and it really is a treat to shoot. The lines flow so nicely, the details are exceptional, it just invites you to take lots of pictures. Thanks about the graphic design comment too; that is my primary interest, and it's interesting to hear the CD single comment, I never thought about it like that. I really do want to give each update it's own unique feeling, just as I did before this new style with different tones. But this way is a lot easier ;).

Krame - I got this update together for exactly that reason; the semester proceeded to kick my ass afterwards ;). I'm looking forward to seeing your new stuff!

Rayquaza - Thanks for stopping in, and thank you!

Update: Fooled you. While this isn't technically a new update, I thought those who use a PSP might not mind some wallpapers. Also, all those
thumbs double as avatars, incase you're wondering. Click the bottom "Consume" bar to download the entire thing in a neat little zip.
I insist you view them in full-size (or of course, on a PSP) to see how the aspect ratio has changed old images. Enjoy!

Damn, I didn't even know you had a gallery! :banghead:
I'll be sure to fully check it when I have some more free time, love your work.

Will you be updating it from now on?

U have made a great favour to all of those that own a PSP. I might put some on my sister´s PSP (hope she don´t mind, because there are so many cool pics to use):D
Thanks Slip!!!

BTW try to update more mate, GT4 forums needs guys like U!!

Woaaah, I love them all!!! I love them all!!! I love them all!!! That's a fantastic idea, the graphic design is great, the new ratio format looks wonderful and the zip file adds a very nice pro touch.

I always liked your supreme work, and day by day I'm loving even more it. Hope you update more, because it has been a NINE CRAZY months since your last!!!!! No really, I can't live in this situation.

I was amazed with close frontals, you cropped them with a lot of style. The Suzu brothers, Ford T (Shame of textures) and last Impreza placed in Shibuya with truly awesome lights and shadows.

Now, I'm a SlipShots consumer :D

That's awesome, thought about contacting a higher placed person for the PSP thread? I think a lot more then us would enjoy them.

Aaaah, this brings up memories, for all the wonderful efforts and the awesome looking banner, +Rep!

Wish I had a psp :( those are really nice, hope you don't mind I have the 300ZX as my avatar.

Edit:

Cant seem to find how to have it as an avatar :(.

Help would be appreciated.:)

Wow, been awhile since you updated and you came back with a bang. The presentation and idea is great and the pictures are even better. I love the huge group shot, the blue 300zx and of course the red Subie you did with the dual exhaust. Beautiful update slip, nice work as usual.

Plus 55 direct avatars. That's what I call innovation. Accourding to the imageshack reliability, you could have blown up some servers...

Salu2.alexwrc

Astonishing to see that this gallery is still going! And the style is still the "GT4 style" instead of the "Photoshop style" seen so much nowadays... 👍

Update Info: Anybody who tried to use the images as avatars, I apologize. Turns out they were saved in far too big a format to be used here. They are all <20k now, and have been hosted on a more reliable server than imageshack, so this post won't have anything important disappear. The zip file has also been updated with the new, GTP-friendly avatars. Go nuts!

Beerzy - Most likely. The summer has been very busy, family and work wise, but every so often I get some ideas and make sure to write them down so I can eventually get around to doing new shots (other than comps, heh).

NTX - Heh, I hope she doesn't mind either!

Alex - Thanks mate! I know my cleanup methods aren't nearly on par with some of you guys, but I'm glad you enjoy my work. It really is a lot of fun to revisit old shots and only change them with cropping, it gives them a whole new feeling. I was too lazy to fix the Ford ;).

725 - I'm glad they'll find a good home

Bram - PSP thread? I'll have to look around. Though if there's a bigger audience out there, I could only hope they'll appreciate them :).

Tapetape - I believe you need a certain post amount to gain a custom avatar. That or a certain amount of time being here, maybe even both. Sorry bud!

Krame - Thanks as always Krame, you know I can't ignore the Scoobies! The ones I've really enjoyed on my PSP after I got around to doing this are the FTO and Zonda LM, but that red WRX was actually the first one I did so that I would have a non-standard background. It started it all!

Greycap - Good to see you around still too! It's stuck to that style because I just can't compete with the PS abilities of the others, but I don't want to disappoint, I am aiming for it, but in a very subtle way to mostly improve on the GT side of things. You won't be seeing whole new backgrounds or car crashes or anything ;).

Update: So I figured this would be cross-posted into the gallery after all. Not exactly an exciting picture, this is my newest trek into cleanup. I've been working with the pen tool a lot at school lately, and decided to test my knowledge on a GT4 shot. Also used a few new methods, and am pretty happy with how it turned out. I'd love to hear critiques from the cleanup pros around here, I'm just learning!

P.S. The update name in the thread title is latin for the "New Method". Heh.

Classy photo. I know the lighting of that ground is specially difficult to enhance and it's correct for me. The cleaning is good too, but I find some weird details in that car... but I don't feel confident about saying anything is wrong there since you killed me with the megashiny 300ZX lol.

The bright body panel lines are always confusing, sometimes works and sometimes they don't. In the roof area probably they do, and in the lateral (and mainly shadowed) area don't work for me.

The tower's reflections is also a bit rare, in that cases I usually decide to remove it because the real shape isn't in the frame so you can't match it with the environment.

So finally, the whole clean up is nicely done for me, smooth but keeping some textures alive. That's the key, rather just using hardcore filters.

Salu2.alexwrc

i love your portables! i'm gonna save them one day and use it as wallpaper for my cellphone. i love what you did with the GT. it's what i've been trying to do lately but i guess i need a bit more practice and maybe a lot more research. such a clean photo from a location that's been taken in a place thats bad for textures if you know what i mean. speaking of textures, like alex said, the car you made it look very clean and still the shape and definitions were well preserved all around. whatelse can i say ?

Now thats shiny alright!!! Smooth looking!!! Might not be a exiting photo like U said, but is damm beautiful:tup:

Well done:)

Update: Just something small. Originally was going to do another GT1 Memorial update, and it might still happen, so I'll keep the details under wraps for now. Wanted a realistic shot, so spent a lot of time on cleanup and reflections here, but nothing crazy effects-wise. The shot stood out in GT and I wanted to recreate it on the monitor. Enjoy!

Alex - By all means my friend, you know far more about cleanup than I do! The Z was a fluke!

JGDA - I'm positive my cleanup method is primitive compared to the masters, but a basic knowledge of the pen tool, and a lot of liberal marquee and smudge tools, are all I really use for cleanup, and then dodge/burn for the highlights. I'm glad you enjoy the portables :).

NTX & 725 - Thanks to you both

The realistic feeling its also there, and the stylish look of the car gives the shot an extra touch...how can I say...even more cool 👍

Love the update mate, quality is always welcome!!
