Not pulling anymore.I know something about the awesome news i'll tell the course maker!
A "Race Track Builder" software program is about to be released on Steam...and it is capable of using Google Earth data to create tracks. Perhaps this is along the lines of what is coming for GT6?
It'll be out soon
I've got some interesting news regarding the course maker !
Guys, guys, I know something about the Course Maker, and its awesome, but I can't tell you.
It'll be out soon
I know something about the awesome news i'll tell the course maker!
Without any actual answer, by the following Thursday we know the answer:I have a question for @Famine .
Are all staff at GTP privy to the reason or is said reason known by you and you alone ?
And not only do we know the answer, we know more details besides:But who knows really ?
Ahh that's right ,
The Mods know but they're not telling .
Fascinating.I don't see why mod(s) are allowed in on this secret unless there is some sort of incentive to keep quiet . Whatever that incentive may be .
WE also bought the game . Why aren't WE the consumer allowed in on the big secret ?
If mods are aware of the reason/s for delay of this feature then it belongs in the GTP News section .
Can just imagine Kaz going " Pssst , guess what ?? The course creator is delayed because ........... // Big Kaz Grin //
But ! If you ever tell them before we do , if we ever do , then you'll get less access to my GT World " // Kaz Chuckle //
There's NO reason for it not to be known
No. Which in many respects is a good start.(Also, did I ever mention how much I wanted to be a mod or site admin and totally wouldn't tell everyone about everything?)
So that's interesting. On Friday, we didn't know the situation, so we ask:Without any actual answer, by the following Thursday we know the answer:And not only do we know the answer, we know the more details besides:
Fascinating.
I shall simply summarise that if you believe that there is no reason, you're wrong and it's very interesting that because you cannot think of a valid reason you think that there can be no valid reason. I think the fact that you've created an answer to your question, determined it to be cast iron fact and then developed a reason for your answer that requires the entire body of GTP staff from Jordan downards to be incentivised is... quite telling.
Once again, I posted to assuage fears that the Course Maker had been forgotten about, delayed or proven too technologically taxing, and to relay that it is still scheduled for inclusion in GT6 - and though we're not aware of any particular time period, it's unlikely to be excessive. There is a good reason for the unexpected hold up and it is simply for the best that we don't share what that reason is until SCE share it. I get that you don't think that there's a good reason and we should be splashing it all over the site, but that's not my problem and it's not your call. Incidentally, no-one on the staff has been bought or threatened by any branch or representative of Sony.
Feel free to carry on inventing stories about why Course Maker is not yet here, if you like. It won't help anyone.
With all due respect, it's kinda understandable that people are slightly pissed when they wait one and a half years on something, and then someone comes along and says "well, I know what's up with it, but I won't tell you".So that's interesting. The consumer comes first , rule number one in business .
The course maker isn't causing too much fuss. We are a very small part of the comunity of GT as a whole, that includes other forums too. Vocal yes but small none the less. Most people playing GT don't even know about the updates or have updated their game at all like my uncle. However to those who do play GT updated will be in for a pleasant surprise when the Course Maker gets released. Just like my fiancé's dad when he gets a new vision gt car every month or a new feature like the community area. That would've been the case back in the old days, but nowadays it's money that comes first.
On topic: I'd rather see the course maker scrapped with all the fuss that it's causing. It's simply too late for most people to still care now.

This again assumes that someone has told us rather than us finding out. That's very informative Famine , however I don't see why the consumer is left in the dark , 18 months later , while others are privvy to the reason .
And since I'm telling you that there's a good reason we can't tell you what the reason is, you must assume that any reason you come up with which isn't a good reason not to tell you what the reason is will not be the reason...Unless it's a firmware security issue and or licensing . That would make more sense but my point still remains that the consumer is entitled to know at least " Something " .
I'd agree, if there were not a good reason why there has been no communication. I'm telling you that there is. Unfortunately the reason why is also the reason why I can't tell you what the reason is!An 18 plus month wait for an advertised , early expected , additionally promised feature , with no communication to the consumer is beyond a disgrace .
Sure, if that's what I said. With all due respect, it's kinda understandable that people are slightly pissed when they wait one and a half years on something, and then someone comes along and says "well, I know what's up with it, but I won't tell you".

Awfully circular, I grant you, but that is how things are.
Sure, if that's what I said.
I posted to say that it was still scheduled for release for GT6. Speculation continued. I reiterated that. This was dismissed as optimism on the basis that I have no more information than anyone else - and speculation continued. I pointed out that I could not state something with certainty (as I did) if it was mere optimism and reiterated the fact that it's still scheduled for release for GT6. This was also questioned as being too vague and I then had to point out that I could neither be more specific nor explain why not - with a quote from Ocean's Twelve.
All I have done in this thread is try to reassure GTP members that the Course Maker is still coming to GT6 and explain that there is a good reason nothing has come out about it recently, but that we can't share it just yet. I don't think it's too much to ask to trust the word of the administrator of the largest fansite when it comes to this topic...
Unfortunately some people just want to be angry. They want to be disappointed with the game, they want to rail against Kazunori, PD, SCE, Sony, me, Jordan or GTPlanet. I'm sure they'd want to run into a thread halfway through and suggest that, 167 posts in, I've come along to gloat that I've got information that other people don't and I won't share, rather than reading the prior constant reassurances from me that it's not far away, because they don't want to see the good part - they just want to get angry at the fact there's information they believe they have a right to know.
With that in mind, I'm absolutely positive that there'll still be some angry people when it's all cleared up, despite everything. They'll probably still hurl words like "incompetent" in the approximate direction of Fukuoka and vow never to buy another Gran Turismo. And they'll probably still buy GT7 (or whatever it will be called) so they can continue to be angry about that.
Still, if it stops yet another tedious post about class action lawsuits for broken promises, I'll quite happily shoulder the fury.
Wax Free Vanilla
" So Polyphony ripped the code out for Modnation Racer's Course Maker and United Front took legal action? "
" Naughty Kazzie. "
Honestly, I didn't need to know why.
When this feature will arrive in GT6, we don't care anymore.

So, instead of playing, enjoying, you will try to understand why this feature has been slow to come ?
Ok....
So you don't care why the course creator feature advertised with your game is late , but you're browsing and posting in a thread that is about just that ?
Ok....
I just wonder when it will come.
The reason ? I don't care

Heh, don't get me wrong, I am not angry at you or anything.Sure, if that's what I said.

I got the impression it was a joke.
