So GT7 is now really on its way, when and what can we expect?

I've said this before and I'm sure you'd agree. GT physics + Grid AI and atmosphere + Forza sounds and customization = great console racer.

Yeah, that sounds good, but unfortunately the time has come and gone for that game to be really great. Pcars looks to have infinitely better physics than gt, a better atmosphere and AI than grid, and Sounds on par or better than forza, so I think that's the new benchmark. Just add the Pcars livery editor to the console versions and it's beaten every game it's competing with in every single aspect on console.

*Edit. Tbh though I don't care about the livery editor, the console version of pcars is already going to blow everything else out of the water on console, and I doubt the next Forza or Gran Turismo will even go close to it.

That sure is one deadly combo. Though I'd prefer the physics to borrow the best from GT and Forza. ;)

Just saying you guys reminded me of an argument me and a friend had about smartphones saying if LG and HTC teamed up they could have made a killing. Combining the LG G3 and HTC One M8 phones.

Although this is just me playing Grid AS the A.I is decent I got it either at Medium or higher not the highest, but the main problem I had in one race I actually starting lapping cars made me feel as though I was playing GT again.

Only reason I wasn't too dishearten is because that's only happened like maybe 2 times, and even still all the way back to the maybe 8th car was still within(what I consider) striking distance like making one mistake means I could end up in 9th place. I think it happened with the F1 or think it's Open Wheel cars, but still @Johnnypenso was spot on with the Atmosphere part I wouldn't trade that for the world, and that's what I mean by GT5/6 being FLAT!

If we gotta wait until the middle or end of 2016 for GT7 then I hope it's worth the wait. They better not pull the same:censored: they did with gt6 and give us an incomplete game at launch and the rest of the stuff comes in future updates. If that's gonna be the case I won't be buying GT7 right way. I'll just wait.

I think you're right; GT is probably arriving sometime next year, and dammit man, I ain't waiting that long to get a current-gen console!

Gwarsh, wish I could pick up both, I honestly want the best of both worlds!

Decisions decisions.... :banghead:

Probaly means no more good wheels.
TM wheels will be compatible with any game on the PS4 for the life of the PS4 would be my guess. Logitech is out that's pretty much guaranteed. Fanatec has already announced that they will be coming to XBone but haven't released a wheel for the system yet. Unless another mass market wheel producer pops up, TM and Fanatec are going to be the only two choices moving forward.

I don't think Logitech is done why would they do that? Does not make sense as a business stand point all those wheels all the costumers. And I mean playstation not Logitech or fanatec. there is something out there that kaz said those wheels will work. All we can do is hope and pray I guess.

PS has had plenty of incentive to get the Logitech wheels working with DriveClub and eventually Project Cars releasing and not a word on Logitech support. I can't see this changing any time soon.

When project cars gets released.. maybe there pre orders got canceled now there trying to get all wheels to work. Who played driver club anyway lol.

I think it's way too soon to launch the game this or next year.

Hmm.. yeah.... I think you're right *rubs chin thoughtfully*

Maybe they should release it 2-3 years from now... then delay it at the last minute for another 2 years...

Yeap, perfect! :D

I think instead of just adding Better AI, they should implement this into a difficulty setting instead. Most of the hardcore drivers (I hope to include myself in this category) would put it on max and hope that the AI makes us work for victories in the race. No point having a PP limit of 600, and you tune your car to the max, but the AI drives as if their PP is 450. They need to be pushing like hell

There is no source because no exclusivity deal has ever been announced, people just assume it is so because no other wheels are on the system yet. But seeing as there are only 2 major players in the game, Fanatec and TM, and Fanatac has been working on getting a wheel working on XBone for 5 months after announcing their deal back in the fall, it's just as likely that TM is the only one that bought the kit and took the initiative.

What I want from the next game (besides better AI, Career, Sounds, flag systems, etc.) it's better coding, for example the transitions between menus are "messy," like things loading on the fly or that you can hear cars are starting to appear on the track before the race, along the many freezes i am suffering lately, specially on seasonal events when restarting a race, I had like 5 or 6 freezes in an hour.
Also I would like to see the Formula GT upgraded to premium, with maybe 4 or 5 models with small variations and different liveries so we can have a proper Formula 1 Championship.

And the end of the day hope something happens because ps4 x box only have one wheel. I have g27 less than a year old fix it or i'm gone with console

Hmm, so if GT physics are that bad, can we trust GT Academy winners that say they still play GT to practice racing?

I agree, I'm not spending $400 for a new console plus $400 for new hardware, I'll just go back to pc.

This seems a repeat of the debate over here, you might want to check it out to help you reach a decision. Either way it will cost you.

That, and make damage a bigger factor than it is. I've been waiting for damage to really be an intergal part of racing since I played NFS:PU(PC)

No this doesn't mean that just going to plow into the competition or I have that fixation to do so as people long ago tried to state, but it helps that sense of racing.

I think GT may be good to learn course layouts and racing lines, but I don't think they use it to actually practice and, to me, that's just marketing speak to try and make the physics look better than what they actually are, I suposse Nissan have a proper simulator for them to practice on, I also remember Kaz once saying that for the Nurburgring 24h they used GT to tune the car, I highly doubt that's true.
I am going to derail a little here, but I also believe that "PS4 it's going to make an incredible difference" sounds a little fishy, too.
I mean, a great difference in what? technically speaking, yes, it should be better, but what about carreer mode for example? the poor carreer in GT5 and 6 has nothing to do with the hardware, instead of concrete answers he's answer was that it's going to be "the best GT you can imagine" or that is going to be "very Gran Turismo" whatever that means, I hope I am wrong and that they deliver this time, but for now it's nothing more than hype, like that time when he said that the PS3 was he's tool to cause a revolution, and here we are again listening pretty much the same speech but with differents words.

Well, in any case, they have no excuse this time to take sound engineering/design lightly.

And the hardware should be capable of insane physics calculations (by PD standards).
