i have no real reason to play any more was playing since release til about 2 months ago I am 40 A spec and 39 B spec, all thats left are the endurance races which to me personally seem stupid in a video game. been playing gta4 episodes from liberty city.

I havent quit playing gt4 until my fat ps3 died I think 2 months after gt5 released, so gt5 will more than likely be the same.Didnt play it everyday or even every week but its one those games you can play forever.

I haven't touched GT5 or my ps3 in general for a month now because of iRacing, but I kind of really want to because of photomode

^^Photomode is the main pull for me too.

I put Shift 1 or 2 on now and again, just to make me appreciate the physics and the graphics in GT5. (We won't talk about the difference in AI capabilities! Gutted!:grumpy:)

I don't think I will ever get bored of gt5 because I love being the best out of my mates and showing off in my cars but when I go on cod I get batted. Gt5 is the best game for ps3 because it has super cool cars and also all the game modes are cool plus the one's that people make up can be fun
If anyone wants to join a drift/race team message me. the team is SKIM AMG

Im kinda bored of the game now. I got all the cars i wanted. and the online challenges arent really enough to get me to pop my in disc. I have way more fun playing SF4 right now. Unless PD update their A spec or offer new 2012 models, it'll probably collect dust until GT6

I'm playing it online 3-4hours every day and I think that I will do that for months and months again!

Yes i have stopped 2 months ago because I switched to rFactor2 and I will never return to GT5!

So you were wrong...
--

I am online once every week and that is to race in a race series with the weirdest dudes on GTP, although we're not that many left, it's 100 % awesomeness to race with 'em.

Everything else this game has to offer I have consumed already. Well worth the money though, considering there are games out there which charge the same price as GT5, but only a tenth of the opportunities and one percent of the total play time.

I played GT5 hard for a long time up until I acheived the Platinum trophy, it was my favourite game, and the reason for getting a PS3 in the first place. I think Ive got every car in the game, I say this as I havent had one appear in the UCD now for months without the blue tick in the corner, but now, aside from the weekly seasonals I find it difficult to come back to the game regularly, it sooooo needs a new big chunk of content imo, but then again I suppose that would be GT6. I know theres Photomode and the online side of it but after several weeks of connection related problems, servers etc I just lost interest/patience with it. Other games have taken my attention now, just acheived Platinum on Dead Space 1 and 2 and GTA IV has me hooked at the moment. But as many others have said here, theres nothing like a good blast round Nordschleife at dawn in your favourite car, in my case thats the GTR Black. In fact, all this talk of not playing for ages has given me the inspiration for a few laps!

I stopped for two weeks .. because I switched momentarily to Birds of Steel, the 2 WW aircraft simulator ..
But yesterday I got back behind the wheel of my G27 .. and after a break of 2 weeks I have appreciated very much GT5. :)

Until it arrives GT6, for me it's impossible to dismiss completely GT5.

I considered quitting GT5.. then I found the Racing Series section. Honestly, if you get accustomed to the rules and find the right series (or series'), you open up a whole new world of GT5. It's hard to find anything better than competing in organised races online with clean, respectable racers.

I've moved on to Project Cars which has leaderboards and 10 new tracks added in the last 2 weeks. No online racing as yet, but I like offline mode usually anyway. A new build is released every Friday, usually with new content, so that takes up my time.
I come back to GT5 once a week to see if there are any new tracks or to try out a car I've been reading up on, but I only manage a few laps as my wheel is now used for PCars on my PC and the PS3 is used mainly for playing movies in the living room.

I play it occasionally, but F1 2011 AND Mass Effect 3 have pulled me away. I used to log in every day (200%) but now I only go on for seasonal events and some online. I think endless tuning and racing can get boring. Will probably be hooked again after a month.

I play daily, 90 minutes after work, and Sat / Sun mornings from 8am - Noon , online only, Nurburgring only. I don't plan to ever stop playing driving games, but I will gladly give my time to another game developer, if it warrants a great experience such as GT5. Looking to upgrade to Thrustmaster T500RS and stand.

Have stopped playing for roughly a year now, ever since I bought an Xbox and FM3 last summer. Being that I'm not into playing online, the horrible A-spec mode, the frustrating B-spec mode, the hated UCD, the fact that only 200 cars are premium, and the horrible leveling system, GT5 was put away and has yet to be put in the PS3 again.

Not actually stopped but i haven't played it since february, i'm playing other stuff... i have to admit that i was a bit bored of it.

Oh yes, longtime now. Back to Forza for me.
Leaderboards would have kept an interest for me but alas it was never on there radar to include them.

After a long dark winter i now spend time trying to get some sunlight insted of playing gt5. My iPhone changes every singel word to jiberish :-/

I still play GT maybe half an hour on a daily basis. The odd seasonal, collecting cars from the UCD or tickets keep my interest high. It's so relaxing having a quick blast in Arcade mode. The Nordschleife from dusk till dawn in two laps is still amazing, and the standard cockpits make me really want to get back to my old favourites from GT4.
Also 5 lap battles, Best Motoring style, keep me entertained. Shame I can't find the time to do 40 lap arcade mode races on Spa with damage set to heavy more often. I like the lack of full blown leader boards or extensive tuning because it let's me enjoy the driving and racing and I don't have the pressure of competition like I had before with another franchise.

I rediscover cars on a daily basis, which are so much fun on low grip tyres.

So I can't see me quitting GT5 anytime soon.

You understand that to get into the let's say top 500 (let alone top 100) you must be an expert with said car and said track, like really really nerdy good! Leaderboards are mainly good if you challenge a buddy. Because if you challenge the pros your fried azs will be given back to you!

I didn't play for a month previous to today. I've just been pretty busy and went through a streak of lacking interest.

GT5 is a great game, but I think that only the real enthusiast could play this frequently. It doesn't seem to reach out to the more casual gamers like GT3 and GT4 did.

It's like Facebook, everyone says their going to delete their profile, yet they still make posts for some reason...... Or at least everyone I meet is like that.

I feel like a caveman - I don't have Facebook.

Anyway I don't really think that GT5 and FB are related. GT5 has rival games to compete with, games that you may replace it with. But is there any alternative to Facebook?

Until one month ago I had a blast on random race then suddently for some reason, I had trouble in every race. It was either I couldnt connect to the room or I was racing in a 12/18 person room but I could see only 4 people etc.. So yeah pissed me off and I stopped playing it completely, went to Forza4 trying to finish every race and beat some friends records and I love it, it's a 100 times more fun than GT5 for me. Also R18 <3

I don't have one either (anymore)

Well that's how my friends are, they'll bitch about Facebook, and never leave it, and its the same with GT5, they complain soooooo much about it, and when I go home and look on my PSN friend list.......pretty much nothing but GT5 as far as the eye can see. And there is alot Facebook alternatives, there's MySpace, Twitter, and........email.......or they could be like humans and leave their computers to enjoy some human interaction.

I voted the 4th option because A-Spec is not enough and the Seasonal Events don't last much, every time a New Seasonal comes out, I'll finish it that same day, so I really want more Seasonals, at least 1 per week, TT and DT aren't enough either and I'm not one of those guys obssesed with the ranks.

Haven't played for almost 24 hours, and I'm not feeling like playing it soon. I'll wait until Thursday to see what new seasonals they'll bring.

Not quite sure what your trying to say here old chum.

Do you mean it's useless if you not in the top 500?
Should the boards only hold 500?
You have to be a Nerd to enjoy a leaderboard?

Could you please elaborate on your somewhat baffling comment?
