 for the second part. :)

And, I hope you figure something out. $80 because someone stole your receiver - and can't use it because it's theftlocked, by the way - really sucks.

By the way, though... You should ask, when it starts working again, if they have capacitors, in case your car's battery ever dies. The same thing will happen if the battery dies in your car without a capacitor. I know because I'm going to school to be a mechanic, and I've learned that removing the check engine light can't be done on most cars without a scan tool.

Although, when I forgot to reconnect the EVAP control charcoal canister, I was able to clear the CEL by disconnecting the battery. :)
So do you think if I disconnected the battery it could start working again.

How would somebody put a code in? If I was able to unlock it with out tools?

Do NOT disconnect the battery. That's something that will *cause* the problem, not solve it. Do not do not do not.

:) now that I've saved you from more damage, I'll say this: I have absolutely no idea, because I don't have an XM system, nor work for them. I just know how those systems work because I'm a mechanic. It requires a continual voltage source - if the voltage source is lost, then there will be a loss of the memory which stores the code. If the code is lost, the device enters an anti-theft lock-down.

Hey Andrew, how did it go with the lady :)

Aside from a toothache slowing me down a bit, going to have a busy day. Still moving stuff from my current room to my grandma's room (I'm moving to her room), going to get my grandma's urn today. I'll be moving two furniture as well today, my uncle is going to help me out.

Pretty decent day. Went to class, nearly went to sleep but covered some cool stuff. Drove down with the windows down finally and enjoyed some music. (it wasn't too loud) I also tried out a new clothing combination for me. A button up with a light hoodie under. Looks immense. Now I'm at home listening to more music and playing a few matches of League of Legends. I should be in the downtown area right now doing my photo/graphic design project but I haven't gotten coolant for our SUV so I'm just going to wait until Saturday.

This is what I'm working on..

It's about our E30 that's been hooned, crashed, and abandoned.

I know I should be sad and crying - but I was more happy to see my grandma once more, at the funeral home. I'm happy and smiling knowing that my grandma will be coming home soon with me.

I'm going to be very busy - moving and organizing - already moved some furniture, maybe tomorrow my ferret will get to move in to her new room.

It's been a long time since I've felt like I made progress. Almost broke and with family troubles, hoping to move out... Finally I get a new job! No more temp jobs and it's also something that I'm interested in! More hours than most of the ones that I've looked at, but gonna have to work hard to get myself and my brother an apartment and finally get out of this hectic house. :D

Long and exhausting! So much moving stuff from one room to another. My uncle had some stomach virus and couldn't accompany my mom to her janitorial work so I went.

My day was completely uneventful, until just after 11:00 PM...

BOOM!!!

"What the 🤬 was that!?" From my point of view, a loud-ass bang, and the lights were I was working (half the building actually) had gone out. The person next to me said that she had seen a large ball of sparks come down from the ceiling (less that 20 ft from where I was standing). I didn't see it because I was loading a part into my machine.

What had happened was a fuse had blown and caused a short where I was, generating a ball of sparks. It scared the 🤬 out of me.

I found out that we have an amazing car show pretty close to home called Caffeine and Octane. They hold it monthly, and it's free, and attracts a ton of all my favorite cars. I'm no longer pissed that I can't go see that other one anymore. In eleven days a much cooler one comes around.

Reminds me of some here. There's at least 4 weekly. I tend to go to the local drag strip though. Free.

This one is the first Sunday of every month from 8-11 A.M. They have coffee (Duh) and a bunch of old trucks and muscle cars. Some new stuff too.

It's kinda cool they do it in the morning. Most are done in the evening.

I'm sitting at home with a sick kid, putting off things I should be doing and doing things that don't need doing. Like taking pictures of the medication I'll be giving him over the course of the day.

And he's relatively healthy. I feel for the kids that are sicker, taking well more than that.

Ouch, I hate to think how serious that is :(

Without putting too morbid a spin on this thread, average life expectancy for someone with Cystic Fibrosis is 37 years old. Which, disturbingly enough, I will be next week.

That sucks, just gotta make sure they live out the best life they can

There are two types of car meets, or were. I don't know if they've changed it now.

There's day meets and night meets.

Day meets are where the mature drivers show up and it's mostly domestics and some tuners.

Night meets are where the immature drivers come out and do a bunch of stupid stuff together in the parking lot. Mostly tuners and less domestics.

That's how it used to be about 6 years ago . Don't know how it is now.

Anyway, my day was fun. Full of laughs with friends. I hadn't laughed so hard in a long time. I needed that.
