So, who's got all 60 Golds in their licence tests yet?

Sorry for the terrible quality, the only camera I can get my hands on is my terrible laptop camera. I did this with the dual shock, which was a huge pain in the butt for a lot of the challenges and required a lot of trial and error, but I got it eventually:)

Add me to the list! Seemed a bit easier than the previous GT games, but that could be because I'm better now, lol!

This is so true. I can't believe how much faster I am in the game after going through the first 4 licenses. I'm racing with much more control and bumping other cars much less than I did in GT5p (GT5p was my first exposure to the world of GT). To me this is the best reason for trying to get all the licenses in gold.

What's interesting to me is, my friend has got 21 golds so far, but uses a sixaxis controller, with AT. Then he try's it on my g25 and can't drive for ****. He says it's to realistic.

Do controller users have an advantage?

If you've got a wheel and want a real challenge, try getting golds with traction control off, ABS off, and skid recovery off, and use the clutch pedal. It makes a huge difference in the level of difficulty. I generally turn all of these driver aids off since real race cars don't have them. Managed to get gold in all the A and B license tests so far using these settings (except for the Top Gear test with the Lotus Elise, I could only get bronze with these settings - it is physically impossible to get Gold on this test without turning TC, ABS, and Skid Recovery on since the Lotus is so snappy loose and you have to drive like crazy to pass 11 cars in two laps.).

Man.....That lotus challenge is getting too me. Ive been trying it without aids all day. No Luck.

Add me to the list. I found the tests a bit more challenging overall than GT4. Some of the tests were alot of fun too.

I actually managed to tie 3 gold times throughout the tests. I was very surprised. If you watch closely, when you finish a test, it seems like the time gets adjusted, because it jumps a bit. I'm wondering if it is getting adjusted for some reason.

3 times? Woah.

Do we even need the licenses?? i haven't come across a single a spec event that requires a license to enter??

No we don't. I decided to get through all the licenses first to get used to the physics, gain A-spec levels, and get some free cars. Also gave me a chance to learn the tracks I hadn't driven on too.

OK, i will do the licenses eventually. I think it's good they made it so you don't have to do them though like previous titles as it would be very boring to some people

Heh .. Getting gold in a hard license test is like learning a boss in World of Warcraft. I had a tough challenge with IC-10 till midnight so I decided to call it. The next day I got a gold in 40 minutes and I felt like I'm so familiar with Rome Circuit :D

Now .. IB, IA and S left .. I think I can do them ... I really can .. just practise ... practise .. call it .. wake up next day .. BAM! Gold

I golded all of IB today and IA-1. I'm going to try to do some IA tomorrow, but it probably won't be until after 2 weeks that I will finish the licenses.

I'm just silvering everything 'cos I just want to drive cars around without torturing myself too bad :) that includes the noob licenses. Except I screwed up and on the dirt rally I golded it by at least two seconds on the second try without any effort at all.

Why yes I'm part Finnish, why do you ask? ;) (probably just a really noob one stuck in for some reason)

Mind you, I am turning all driver aids off that I can find. And I bronzed the slalom because I hate stinkin' slaloms :) but everything else, silver or gold by mistake :)

That includes the Nordschliefe training course- just going back to silver the full lap, though it's kinda late :) SO GOOD to see the Ring again!

Damn im stuck on IC1 the 1000m brake challenge. Cant get it, im off by .003

any tips? i think i read somewhere to use the controller make it a little easier. Should i turn off abs all together, i think it on 1

I thought the brake challenges were the toughest, haha. Make sure you are getting the best start you can. Was that one in the GT-R?

Tip for brake challenges: use your speed as the breaking point.

Once I started doing that it becomes pretty easy. Just takes a few goes to learn what speed you need to brake at.

Currently have 41 golds. About to do the other 9 for the IA and then move on to the S license.

I am so close to having all gold trophies that I can taste it. So far, the only one I've failed to get gold is S-4.. then again I've been playing with a DS3 this whole time which feels unnatural when you need to control a car at speed through those tight corners.

I just finished all the golds about 3 hours ago, I am happy I can concentrate on finishing the special events while I tune and play with all 1100 cars in the game. The Super licensce was very easy, but the sound of that LF-A is surpeme, the Saleen almost killed me in mulsanne corner... good luck to all who have some left.
Congrats to those who have finished already, even the ones with the extreme headstart.
I am driver level 20 and B-spec 1, and am hoping my CE arrives Monday, as it is way to late.....

I turned off ABS and I started braking at about the middle of the last x. You can also gain an advantage by hitting the throttle after the 1 countdown so you don't launch at full revs.

Also for IC-1, modulate your throttle control a bit on the launch, and I shifted to second early at about 50-55kmh to get traction. Seemed to work well.
