So, who's got all 60 Golds in their licence tests yet?

Are most people who got all 60 Gold's using a controller or steering wheel?

I'm having a hard time getting gold. I got most gold's in B, A and IC. But some are real hard. Now I'm wondering if using a steering wheel might help. If so I just might have to get a g27:)

Using a wheel will certainly help as you can apply the steering and throttle/brake much more accurately. Though it is possible to get all 60 using the pad (I know someone on here who's managed it).

Playing the game with a wheel is much more enjoyable though... get one, you'll absolutely love it once you get used to it.

Yeah I hear you. I want to get the g27 but I've spent so much money lately. I got a ps3 just to get this game. I remember having gt3 on ps2. I had the game 98% done. I used to have a gt force steering wheel for it but it was hard to play. But now I hear all these good things about g27 having different pressure for each pedals, having a clutch and an H shifter looks like a lot of fun.

Using a G27:
Gold - 27
Silver - 2
Bronze - 1

One of those silvers is for IC-10, which I can't seem to get first in, and I left one test bronze to make sure I get the car for all bronze and another one silver to make sure I get the car for that too.

I just golded IC-10 to complete the 60 golds with the Dualshock/3. :)

Just an FYI, you could gold all 10 tests in a license on first try and still recieve all 3 cars for Gold, Silver, Bronze upon exiting the license test. I was weary on this too as I wanted all 3 prize cars but I tested it out and you still recieve all 3.

Thanks! That helps a lot.

I´m playing with the Dualshock3 and Silver is no problem for me (80% in first try) at the moment. S-License will be made tomorow.

But the Test with the F-86 (Pylon-slalom) i just can´t get silver nore gold, just because of Controller maybe.
And some others first try gold (IA9/10).

Maybe I have to do it like I did in GT4. Go for gold at a completition of 95% :D

Put it on the Board: 60g

Aaaaaaaannnnnddd...we're back!

Wow...it feels like years since I've been here...nothing like a new release to pull everyone from the woodwork, I see a few familiar faces and lots of new folks :)

Anyway, I'm up to 28 gold and absolutely LOVING the journey! I forgot how much I love GT. The test that had me cursing the TV most so far was IC-3...didn't realise I needed to get the tail out a bit for each corner...grrr! But thanks to Stune for his youtube video (awesome pommie accent by the way, but that doesn't mean you guys can have the Ashes!) I could see that I was going about it all wrong...onward and upward :sly:👍

Okay, so I think I am up to date. For those who have done it and want to be added to the list, just post some photographic evidence and I will get you added.

I will try my best to keep the first post up to date, but if I haven't added your name up after a few days, feel free to PM me and I will get my act together. 👍

so how much time you guys spent to get all 60 golD?

I did it on the same day I got it, several hours in total. Had I not had to raise A-spec points to level in between, I suspect I could have done it much faster.

Anyone have any tips for IC-3, the double hairpin in the Nissan Fairlady Z? I can't seem to come within .4 seconds of gold no matter what.

Edited to change the test number as it was incorrect.

It's certainly a tricky one, I had a head start, having plenty of practice of that exact combo from GT academy.

First off, make sure traction control is off, it comes turns itself on for every test, and I often forgot to get rid of it, its of particular hindrance for this test.

The first corner needs to be attacked, forget smooth, if you don't attack the car just wants to understeer through the corner. An aggressive turn in is should have the car just on the point of oversteer, and this is exactly where you want to keep it, make sure you are as far right as possible on entry, this corner is all about using all of the track on more. A late apex means a late turn in, this ensures you an get on the power nice and early, the care needs to be under control at this point, it is easy to get a little oversteer on exit and loose a lot of speed.

The second corner also requires a late apex, hugging the kerb on the inside during the middle phase of the corner, and sitting off it on entry, a slight bit of oversteer can help bring the car round, as it is a tight corner. Just remember to have the oversteer well under control by the apex so you can get early on the power.

The last corner requires yu to sit of the apex as late as possible and only fully commit to the throttle when you are certain you will not have to lift off even slightly on the apex.

Hopefully these words will help, although I appreciate its hard to convey driving with words at times. Just remember, that to get the most out of this car, you need to be very aggressive on turn in, and extremely smooth on exit, more so than most other cars.

so how much time you guys spent to get all 60 golD?

Driving time about 12 hours total (approx) I didn't have a complete sitting to work on it (holidays) but a couple of hours each night and one early morning session to wrap up the S license (its the easiest to get). As sigma stated, the leveling up takes some time. I did some Special Events to do that. Then got addicted to the Nurb Challenge (gorgeous). Now on to some races! :)

Dude i spend several hours just trying to get gold on one. :dunce:

I am a new owner of a wheel though, so my excuse is not because i suck, but more because im re learning how to drive

It doesn't matter how long it takes you to get there, as long as you get there eventually.

There is a space in the first post with your name on it, I can sense it. ;) 👍

been plowing through them today... seems easier than previous GT games.
Though I notice they are up to their usual lame tricks of putting up a demo that does silver. :P

Just finished golding all of them today. For me they started out very difficult and got easier as I went along. B license was actually the hardest for me! Perhaps that's just due to my skills coming back slowly. Using a G27 btw.

PSN ID = SublimeLBC411 if anyone would like to race online, none of my PSN friends are playing GT so add me! It'd be nice to get some proper races going with the more skilled drivers in this thread. Anyway, back to grinding away in A-Spec mode!

Oh i will get there...................eventually. Keep that space reserved for me. 👍

I will post back at some point and update on my little adventure. Actually its a big friggin one to me

Using the wheel over the DS3 will help me out a lot im guessing. The DFGT with the wheelstandpro if it matters

Getting all golds is a nice challenge, but more importantly, it teaches you how to be fast in the game... if you take the time to master the techniques you need to gold them all (or at least gold the difficult ones) it will make you a much better driver when it comes to on-line racing and time trials.

This is so true. I can't believe how much faster I am in the game after going through the first 4 licenses. I'm racing with much more control and bumping other cars much less than I did in GT5p (GT5p was my first exposure to the world of GT). To me this is the best reason for trying to get all the licenses in gold.

20 so far and will try and do the next couple of licenses tomorrow. Does seem easier to get golds than in previous GT's, though the G25 might be responsible for that :)
