So, who's got all 60 Golds in their licence tests yet?

Almost all Gold all the way to Bi. However, there is one test presented in all levels that I cannot get gold in no matter how hard I try. The Braking test. Anyone have any suggestions on how to beat them?
 
The braking part in the braking tests are the easy bit for me, when u decide roughly (try using the road markings for reference points) where to brake and use your gears to slow car down along with brakes.

You will find that the tests are more about getting a perfect and yet very fast launch is the key! The faster you get off the mark and up to speed the more time you have essentially made for braking to a stop.

Out of sheer curiosity, do the licenses actually do anything in this iteration, or are they just a good source of A-Spec points? Because, while I'm not yet that far in the game, I haven't seen any races in which a certain license is required.
 
This thread is a classic on every GT launch and I won't miss the party either, 50 golds so far, I hope to get them all tomorrow.

you get cars for getting a license in all gold, silver, bronze 👍

Now there's a name (and image) I haven't seen in ages!

Time to bask in the feeling of just once accomplishing golds before Eclipsee ;). If you've got 50 already mate, S License will be a cake walk 👍
 
There is a buddy of mine that has 50 so far.He still has the Super License test to do,but i gaurantee he'll get golds on that too.

Now me on the other hand has 6 golds lol and i'm on the Super License tests :crazy:
 
51 golds so far, have yet to try S2 to S10. However, for me personally the Elise challenge at Top gear Test Track was harder to Gold than any of the licence tests so far :scared:

I think IA10 and IC10 have been the most enjoyable licences so far in my opinion.

You can win almost a second at the start ... first full rev .. when the counter hits 0 ... release the throttle and then gradually increase the throttle again... ... (2.tip: load a ghost car) ...

Is it me or does it seem like Gran Turismo 1 and 2 licences were alot harder

I don't know about 1 & 2, but GT4 is definitely harder than GT5. Thus far anyway. Out of 40 tests only 2 took more than a few minutes to get silver, and a few of them I gold on <5 attempts, one of them on my first try.

So... yeah a lot easier.
 
I've just gotten all golds on B.

But damn, I'm having a crapload of trouble getting gold just in the first A challenge.
 
I have managed to get all gold on A-B national and silver right up to A national. Just the S licence to do which I'm waiting for till I get a better understanding of the less familiar courses. The specials are freaking tough but you get well rewarded for your efforts. So far I have managed 2 golds and the rest silvers in both the AMG and the Nascar challenge on Intermediate. Loving the game in a serious way and can't believe how incredibly user friendly the online mode is.

Even though I got all the licenses last night, I have 45 gold and 15 silver trophies. Got all Golds in A and S license. The S license was somewhat of a joke to me, even though there were some struggling moments. Got the GT-R Spec V (GT Academy '09) from S. Haven't used it yet, but will get to it at some point. And I'll try and post a picture of it when I can.
 
I would be willing to pay someone to come to my house and get all the golds for me, I have never been good enough to even come close. I have always enjowed the game, but it's frustrating not having the ability to unlock the best prize cars

The prize cars for having all gold isn't much. Although it does help with some of the events down the line.

I feel the same way. Right now I am struggling to get the gold on IC10, I must have been at it for an hour but the best I managed to do was second. I want to gold everything but I'm not sure I can even do it. then again I felt that way about the Top Gear intermediate challenge too and eventually got the gold, although I must have spent at least 2 hours on it... Practice makes perfect I guess. (still frustrating sometimes :ouch:)
 
Add me to the list as I obtained 60 golds. Very pleased with myself because I used my G25 and that was the first time i've ever used a wheel!

Just shows what a good idea these licence tests were because it allowed me to get used to using a wheel.

The tests that stick in my mind were IC 10, IA 10. Damn annoying because you can easily outbrake the A.I but I lost count how many times I got disqualified for slightly touching the A.I. The Super Licence was disappointingly easy and expected a much tougher challenge.
 
you guys that golded everything, I have to ask have you done anything else in the game since it came out? I spent 45 minutes on IC-2 I think, the M5 on trial mountain corner, and the best I could do was 16.236 when I needed 16.200 I screamed a four letter curse word so loud and so often that I'm lucky nobody called the police. I'll give myself high blood pressure trying to get golds on some of these. Seriously I get to the point of almost unleashing violence on inanimate objects in the room. You guys are superheroes.
