I'm getting there, done B and A, 4 left to get on S, but I only have two golds each on IC, IB, and IA. It's gonna be a long night >__>

I just finished that one last night. If you've golded the IC-10 (30th) & IB-10 (40th) you'll be able to do IA-10 (50th). Just practice and stick with it. It still probably took me a couple hours. The main thing I found is too outbreak the AI but only try to break in a straight line. I want to say that if you can be in second, or darn close, after the first lap you're doing great.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Two spots always kill me, specifically where I lose the back end; the first turn and the slight right inside the tunnel. It's hard to find a good braking spot.

And yes, I have gotten all golds until this point. IA-10 is just killing me though. I haven't been able to finish one race since I always get disqualified. I have gotten up to 4th or 3rd place though after the first lap.

I think the super license tests were way too easy, should have been harder... I even the B tests are harder :/

I agree, but it was very fun. Better than frustrating on some other licenses.

Also, wanted to say the prizes suck for getting Gold. They did a crappy selection on Gift cars, they really did.
 
Just got around to getting all the licenses, been too busy doing races.
Bad quality pic, it's dark in my room and I'm using a projector anyway.

 
S-8 is absolutely killing me right now. I cannot even sniff the top 2 right now. I get to 5th in under a 1/2 lap and 3rd just after that but I cannot get close. Any settings you guys can recommend?
 
I got all golds on the license tests over the weekend. I also have all the SE golds except for the Expert AMG which I'm not at a high enough level to enter yet.

I am getting my ass eaten alive on ib-3 (cone challenge) with the wheel. I am considering switching to the controller in hopes that I can get it done. Its weird because some of the harder ones like IC-10, wasn't really hard at all for me. But some of the easier ones seem to be my bane.

I did all mine with a DFGT. IB-3 is a pain in the ass but my tip is to get into 3rd gear quickly and turn early than you expect while feeding some throttle as you go in between the cones then let off as soon as you're through. My speed through the cones was between 74-80mph. It's really mostly throttle balancing.

what settings do you use? ABS? traction control? active steering?

I did mine with ABS at 1 and everything else off where allowed (there are some tests where aids are compulsory).

brake late at the last corner of the circuit at the s-turn and hope that when you bump into the GTR, you will not be disqualified

I was trying all sorts of different throttle tehniques as well. In the end I just did it flat out in 3rd, able to change to 4th just after the pinultimate cone. (DFGT)
 
Can anyone give me some pointers on getting gold?? I've spent my whole day literally trying to get gold and it is very frustrating. I'm using DS3. I don't know how anyone can say the license tests are easy... Is it easier with a wheel??

I think you need someone to help you who's done the tests with the pad.

I found the licenses MUCH easier than the ones in GT4... golded all 60 in less than 24 hours this time as opposed to months in GT4!

I recently gold all my license with DS3....try to change your button settings like NFS SHIFT:

R2= acceleration
L2=deceleration
R1=Shift Up (if you're using manual)
L1=Shift down

Since these 2 buttons are at the back of the controller, you can control the amount of throttle for your acceleration and the force you apply during braking, unlike the conventional 'X' and 'square' button.

And which test you're trying to gold? I do admit 40% of the test are frustatingly hard to get gold

I made all 60 licence test Gold. Yesterday, I managed to get I-C, I-B, I-A and Superlicences Gold within two hours. And it was much easier than the A and B-licences.

In last licence test you just need to overtake some dumb AI-drivers which is much mor easier than to have a pee.

But the XP for licence test and the cars you get are just a joke.

For me, the hardest test of all where two one: first was license Aor B with the 1 Series Coupe through the Schumacher S at the Nürburgring. Oh man, I needed 40 runs to get it Gold and missed it many times at just 0.040 or sth. The second one was 370z on Indiapolis to get through some u-turns. Oh man, this car is terrible...it feels like it weights 3 tons.

I hear you on the Shumacher S. I can get into the 18.8xx but can't get the last 2-3 tenths off to get gold. I watched the video post on this site, but still can't get it. Does anyone have any pointers? On the first turn I lift off the throttle only slightly and very brief then keep it floored the rest of the way. Is this the right way to do it, or should I be keeping it floored all the way through? I've tried that, but can't seem to stay out of the gravel.

I also gave up after getting bronze on A-10. The DQ rules are so harsh. The race isn't very difficult, but the AI brake and weave so stupidly that I find it almost impossible to avoid bumping them. I end up driving very conservative to avoid hitting them and my time drops like a stone.

For people struggling for gold on the Schumacher 'S' Curve test:

I did it by going full throttle and dipping my back wheels in the grass/run off strip on the right hand side before taking that first left. If you get the right spot, it will turn your car and slow it enough for you to continue with your foot down.

My time was 18.774 - Good luck, it's a nasty one!
