Also, quite a few races now have a new setting, you can make the wet/corners of the track low/real life, to change how slippery they are.
Really now.
Nice to know man is this after the update?
Just realized, this will be the first (full) game in the series that a notorious "fiddler" like Kaz will actually be able to tinker with after release. Could be a good thing.
True, probably some polyphony guys are looking now at our forum, taking notes and creating a new patches
Yep, it wasnt ther ebefore.

They have a valid point. Stop whining.
I like the online set up! I'm so pumped for this game!
đź‘ŤSo do I. Get your priorities straight. This is trivial BS that has been in Prologue for years. It wasn't mentioned and in reviews and shouldn't be in reviews of GT5. If every second of GT5 the shadows are bothering you, you shouldn't be playing this game. Patching the shadows? Fine. Just patch other issues first.
Physics > Shadows. Fact. See PC racing simulation games.

So you're saying physics need to be patched? If not, why are you bringing it into a conversation about things needing patching?
You're really just being childish now. Let me join.
Unless GT5 measures brake fade, there would be little-to-no benefit to upgrading the brakes in GT5 either. GT4 was unrealistic because it didn't measure brake fade. It was not unrealistic because the upgraded brakes didn't decrease stopping distances or whatever.
You do know that the brake upgrades were basically useless in GT4. There was extensive testing done, and the brake upgrade did little to nothing to help the car slow down.
Ok...cmon calm down guys....save it for the track...save it for the track
You obviously have no clue what brake upgrades do. Racing brakes don't make your car stop any faster than normal brakes until you've used them for 2-3 laps. The TIRES determine how fast you can stop, upgrading brakes it to stop fade.
The reason it's one of the first components people upgrade is because a few laps on stock brakes cooks them all to crap and they either fade to near uselessness and almost get you killed or outright fail and definitely get you killed.
Upgraded brakes are just bigger, have more thermal mass and a larger diameter which pumps more air though the vents keeping them cooler.
I've seen many tests of bbk's that actually increase the stopping distance due to increased unsprung weight and brake balance that is a bit off from stock, but they always greatly out perform stock brakes on the track when the extra cooling keeps them from killing you.
Of course there will be a benefit in upgrading your brakes. You're telling me a little mini cooper caliper has the same stopping power as an eight piston brembo caliper? Even if fade is not present we should be able to upgrade the brakes to stronger ones don't you think?
I agree with everything but one thing. Upgraded brakes do help you stop quicker. If on street tires you slam on the brakes with stock or racing brakes most likely they will both lock (no ABS). But if you have racing tires on, the bigger brakes are gonna stop the car in a shorter distance.
I thought this stuff was common knowledge guys.
