Can't wait to see @sorg again tomorrow for some updates he's found in GT5. Guess I'm wanting to hope for a Spec 3.0 again. :)

But I'll like to know one thing. What disk are you using @sorg? Standard disk? XL disk? Keep up the good work. đź‘Ť

When it comes to pd expect very little and you wont be disappointed.

have you found any traces of the long lost premium model of the Subaru Impreza Rally Car '99?

Nope. Didn't find mention about premium version of this car. The codename of this standard car shows that no premium model exists. Why you call it "lost"? Was it in GT5 at beginning and then removed?

i have standard and Academy Edition versions. Both are absolutely identical with one exception: Academy edition has one folder with cumulative patch v2.07 around 2gb. So, the difference is that standard version downloads all updates one by one, while AE just install one huge update from disk (and then download updates starting from 2.08).
I'm sure other versions like XL and Spec II,III also standard versions + cumulative patch to version at release date.
The difference between editions are coupons only. Technically you can use coupons with standard version if you could buy coupons separately.

The premium Impreza Rally Car was in Gran Turismo HD. For some reason it never made the jump to Gran Turismo 5.

So it definitely looks like the GT4 version was used instead. That's too bad, the Gran Turismo HD model would've been better.

Hey! I have Gran Turismo HD!
Really though, I didn't realize it wasn't in GT5 but GTHD instead.

EDIT: As I check the title, I should call it Guran Tsūrisumo HD Konseputo

Yes it was.

I'm getting on the game right now to see for myself...

EDIT: I don't have all the cars unlocked. CRAP! Well, time to run the time trials..

Yes it was.

Considering I have GTHD installed on my PS3, and the only rally car in it is the Celica, no, it wasn't.

It was only shown in previews/trailers for what was suppose to be the original GT HD game that got scrapped before the 10 car/1 track version came out as a preview for what was to come later.

I'll back up your statement once I finish these cars.. I sworn I did this before.. Eh.. The cars feel so strange to me..

I just had another look, you're right about that. My bad.

Is GTHD the same as Prologue? I recall downloading one of them and I'm sure I bought the prologue on disc.

So many years of GT and lots of good times means my memory is clouded at times. ;)

Nope. GTHD has 10 different cars. But those cars also have tuned versions. Also, it has only 1 track, that's Eiger Norwand Short Track. It has a time trial, and when you finish the time trials of the 10 cars, you can do the track in reverse and even have a drift trial.

Prologue, well, is just prologue.

EDIT: Added, GTHD you downloaded and Prologue you bought on disc.

I'd be really interested in seeing if you are able to get into the settings of the cars PD have used in the license tests and transpose them into normal game cars. The Lotus Evora is of particular interest to me.

I'll just repeat what I said on another thread:

GT5: The land of the Broken Promises... đź‘Ž

So much potencial... but it was all wasted...

All wasted... On Skylines? Just kidding. Maybe this will push PD to give us some quality DLC... I'm kidding again. I crack myself up, whew.

If they keep the Skyline count exactly where it is I would be happy. We have a perfect amount.

As for future DLC, I am waiting for a Premium Bentley Speed 8. Not having my hopes high though..

Actually there is a big noticeable difference between the original GT5 disc (bought a week after release) vs the XL edition disc asside from the front cover, patch and coupon.

The most dramatic difference is in the game itself. The visibility at SSR(s) or in both 24 hour race or any dusk/dawn conditions, it is dramatically improved. Dramatically meaning I no longer have to adjust the brightness and have no issues running it in the default settings. There is also a noticeable difference on the main page and inside your garage. They used a much brighter gray hue, thumbnails are far brighter and when clicking to view the actual car...you can see the entire lines of the vehicle in any color (especially black cars). The blocks on the filter option is more defined.

Now, I enjoyed the XL edition so much that I deleted the old game data from my oldest PS3 and re-installed it with the XL edition....It failed to overight the original disc.

SKYLINE GT-R V-spec (R33) '97
SKYLINE GT-R V-spec II (R32) '94
SKYLINE GT-R V-spec II Nur (R34) '02

Kaz must've seen the GTP'ers complaining about the outrageous amount of Skylines in the game and decided against implementing them.

Probably not alot of people complain about the x2010 and x2011.

I am shocked as I thought many people loved them for their speed/handling.

I would not mind an X2012 or better yet the secret ones that sorg found. :)đź‘Ť
