Sorg, I dont know how many nights you went through lately without sleeping, but my RESPECT to you.👍

There is one thing that has been bothering me since the first day I started playing with cars setup: the son a bit** of the chassis reinforcement. Is there any trace of a hidden option to disable it in the car setup/tuning menu?

It bothers me that everytime I need to try it, I have to do a game save backup first... And it actually makes little sense, once in real life, aside from some types o roll-cages, you can remove those chassis reinforcement parts easily from a car.

First off Sorg great work 👍

Just wish Turn 10 would make all this public so PD are aware and Kaz ends up having a Hugh Grant moment Uhh Urr Umm ah well yes they are things we are working on and will release as DLC, If any of this stuff is released as paid for DLC I can't be the only one who would be abit peeved.

I don't see what Turn 10 has to do with this at all.

If they did pull a stunt like that, it would only end up with them getting a lawsuit thrown at them.

Um yeah, what are you talking about?

None of this stuff would be paid DLC even if it was activated, it would be stuff in a patch. But as we've already gone over, this is all likely old, unused code that will never, ever be activated.

Anyway it's already a news article on the main page, if PD even take a glancing look at this website as they should be doing they will already know.

Do you think pd would be concerned by this?

By the way congrats on the 5000

I doubt it. Like I said earlier, they know full well what they left on the disc and that people would possibly find it one day. Also like I said they could have found it on day 1, now we know it is all on the original disc. They know people found all the stuff on the old games so no, I doubt they are concerned because i'm pretty sure they had no intention of ever activating any of this.

Well, nearly everything. The Japan Flag Edition must've been an addition due to the timing. It does ask the question that we can't answer as to what actually was there originally and what's been added. We know that according to the tester guy from oop north that brakes were a part of the original game.

My question regarding all this is - Would it not taken too much time to remove pointless things if they were declared not to be used before the game went to press? And since we get updates by download, they could've been filtered said items back in gradually with testing done along the way, did PD not expand and recruit more people after that earthquake...?

It's not about the time it takes to remove lines of code, it's how it affects the rest of the game you're leaving behind. Software coding really isn't as simple as removing one bit of code you don't need, doing so could have adverse affects on other parts of the code that you are using and create bugs. That's why it's easier just to hide old un-needed code rather than remove it.

As for adding them back in via updates that would depend entirely if they wanted to. If these things were declared unnecessary rather than unfinished then there is no reason to add them back in.

I agree. Said it in an earlier post. Most of this stuff is probably just property lists that don't have any UI elements, physics, state engines etc of code that would be used to make it work. PMs probably scrapped some of the game features as cost analysis always wins over features. But you can leave the good ideas behind and as long as they're not causing memory leaks or any other bugs; the developers aren't going to spend the time to take it back out, but could call up these classes in a patch down the road.

Ok, here's a question for Sorg if he has a definitive answer, or anyone else who can help:
What is the garage limit? I've read it's around 2000.

I'm collecting cars - 1 mint with no changes and miles, 1 used and those are normal road cars. Race/rally cars are 1 mint again, and 1 fully tuned. As well as 1 F1, 1 X2010 and 1 X2011 Prototype to race, and all other F1's, X2010's in each colour. And I've only used one ticket so far too, which I can't get again being the Zonda R.

Wondering if I'm wasting my time!?!

The garage limit is indeed 2000 cars. You can however create other accounts and store cars there aswell.

Well, at least I'll save space with the tickets I win or acquire through DLC, I had 450+ tickets and 900+ cars in the garage at one point!
Also, I do use a second account, and what I win there, I spend on the credit limit transfer cars. That means I can spend on the bigger price cars on my main account...

However, the item limit is a nuisance too, I'm also aiming in for every paint x 2, and every helmet/outfit x 1 at least. Always out of space, and since there are a few glitches regarding the paint items, I'm always having to delete stuff every couple of days!

One final question, is the endurance fuel bug still an issue? No update since the last one where it was discovered. I know B-Spec (or Driver Spamming Championship) is unaffected. I want to do 4 12 hour stints soon to finish the last 2 remaining A-Spec races...

Since I ran those enduro races a while ago, I have no idea about the "fuel bug". Maybe someone else can answer that for you.

It affect's only if you started endurance before update and updated during endurance.

So it's not here anymore if you have latest update before starting race 👍

Cheers for the previous answer anyhow!

So, that means I can carry on whenever I have the 2x2/4 days to get racing then! Well, maybe with the festive period coming, I can squeeze it in...

Thank you kind sir!

Just be sure to keep an eye open for news of updates about to happen. If there's one coming you'll have to either finish any race you start first or else stay offline until you finish.

Some tickets has been made in GT5 but never shown in wild.

These tickets include:

Interesting, GT5 has FPV (Ford Performance Vehicles) manufacturer ticket, but gives nothing from it. Probably they just renamed it to Ford(AU), but forgot about ticket.Probably, there are many other secrets buried in GT5 files.
.

I think this is from the FPV Ford F6 Falcon (or Typhoon, can't remember exact name) seen in gt4, I can't seem to find it on the cars list either so I think it was completely removed from the game, unfortunately >_>

So yeah.
A friend sent me this, Standard 787B.

Nissan GT-R SpecV is standard & premium in the official car list too, but you can't see it in GT5 as standard. That's weird.

VYPA-SQUAD_Ace
I don't have GT PSP, but don't you get the standard version when you import your garage?

Yep and supposedly the standard and premium version of the F2007 too. Almost forgot about it
