Yes, finally the open beta has arrived. Better late than never. PDI still torturing us though by not allowing us to even drive in the arcade mode until they switch on the servers.

Listening to the menu music, I now want London track back with option to drive in the rain in the black of night.

Out of interest, people with PS4 Pro who got the demo, how loud does console get during the intense rendering scenes? My C chassis PS4 gets quite loud, going to transfer to a new 1TB Slim I got yesterday and see how that is soon.

It doesn't get any louder than anything else for me.

Where in the ps store is it? The GT Sport page?

If you're on mobile just go to games and scroll down to try, the demo will be in there at the very top of the list. The web page is all sorts of broken on PC for whatever reason on my laptop.

Was really looking forward to this hoping it had better wheel customization for controls i have a problem with my left foot so am unable to use it too brake, so every other racing game f1, p cars ac, dirt etc all allow brake/accelerate to be reassigned to another control config but sadly gt sport allows all controls to be modified apart from brake/accelerate, which is a huge disapppintment for someone in my position, if I’m missing something in the control screens could someone kindly let me know, the options were there in gt5/6 as i had the same problem then and changed controls to fit my problem and adapted just fine

Theoretically I could download 43GB in less than 30 minutes... but my PS4 rarely goes faster than 180Mbps

I guess we dutch people rule the Internet.... in terms of speed :D

 Here in Wales I get 3 maybe 4 Mbps if I’m lucky

Perhaps PD should consider staggering the U.S. roll out instead of opening the floodgates to 4 contiguous time zones all at once, folks with slower broadband connections will get hammered when a lot of people hop on to download en masse.

I think the preload is for PS+ subs, non-subs will have to get it the day it goes live probably. I forgot that it was glowing yellow and that usually means PS+ sub exclusive.

Sure is, but I didn't see this coming. It's for PS Plus subscribers only. Or is it?

"This is an exclusive PlayStation®Plus offer.
PlayStation Plus members starts on 10/9/17 at 12:00am PDT and ends 10/12/17 at 8:00am PDT
Standard PlayStation 4 owners start from 10/9/17 at 6:00pm PDT and ends 10/12/17 at 8:00am PDT"

I'm confused. (And not yet a subscriber.)

Exactly as it reads, If your a ps+ member you get to play it a few hours early. Anyone will be able to play it eventually ps+ or not.

Well, I,m back from a trip out and it’s up and running on my new OLED TV at 4K HDR and well, just looking at those scapes my jaw kept on hitting the floor time after time...absolutely insane. I know the scapes are not wholly reflective of the in-game racing, but at glacé they are achingly realistic. I could sit and watch those all day. Pure car porn, and that’s what GT is all about. Now the replays...oh the replays! Great ambient music too, what a lovely package so far.

However, the pre-load is disabled. I thought that the primary beneficiary of pre-load is the Sony servers by spreading the traffic over a longer period of time.

This implementation hurts the servers, potentially hurts downloads and (for me), is discouraging. Especially since the PS Blog said nothing about this restriction

US folk without PS+. Just create a EU account and download it from there. You should be able to play it from your US account.

Are you PS+? If not you’ll have to wait to download the demo I think.

Sadly PS Plus is required to download the demo. Gonna wait for the full game.

You can download it day 9 without PS+.
Somebody know if this demo download will be a part of the final game download ?? Or will we have to download it all again ??
