Is that 7 game days or does it use the PS2's calender and give you one full week?

It's identical to the 787B that you buy exept for the colour and decals, so I don't think it's a 767B.

So how easy is it to get 800,000,000 credits by day 696?

Are there any other nifty secret cars that pop up in the used car lot? Perhaps that's where the Orca C113 can be found or something?

I first thought it might have been the road car of the 787B . As you know at Le Mans there must be an existing road car of the prototype racing version. I know the R390 and the TS020 road cars were availlaible in GT3. As far as I know today these beast are in museum in Japan.

But the fact that you can by them all starting on day 696 is pretty cool. Also, are they all black or is it just the 787B that is?

No, at LeMans there doesn't have to be a road car, it depends on the class raced in, the 97 Nissan R390GT1 was as it's name suggests, in the GT-1 class which required at least one road car, then tin 1998 they entered again and had to make another road car so theres two a 97 and 98 model R390GT1 road car, the 98 GT-One was also in the GT-1 class and had to have a road version to enter, at the en of that season the rules changed and the 99 GT-One was then entered in the LMR class which classed it as a prototype so it didn't nead a road version. The old group C racers were also a prototype class aswas the group that replaced them which the 91 787B entered, so theres no road version of the 787B, Sauber C9 or Nissan R89CP ect.

on the 696th day, for a period of one week

I can confirm it.
They all look nice, but i can´t see the reason for them being in the game, except for looking really cool.;)

Sorry Flinx...

My research has led me to believe that the Used Car lots go on a 7 day cycle - the first list appears on day 1 (April 2nd), the second list appears on day 8 (April 9th), the third list on day 15 (April 16th) and so on.

These cars ought to appear on day 694 and persist until the end of day 700. Can you confirm otherwise, or are you just confirming the presence of the cars at around this time?

Incidentally here is a save of the day in question.
Be sure you´re on the japanese version and you have the appropriate device to move files from the computer to the PS2.

Have fun! :D

Hmm, a black R-390 would be nice…(1997 pictured)

They are. The TS020 you can see at what I believe is still the world's biggest car showroom, Toyota's showroom over on Odaiba (reclaimed island across Rainbow bridge out of Tokyo). They have the F1 cars up in the main showroom, a museum full of gorgeous old cars...... Then the TS020, in my opinion a piece of automotive art, perfection of racing shape and design, is stuck downstairs outside the coffee shop??!?!? I almost missed it!

I'd include some pics I took, but I can't work out how to add pics (it's the Esso Ultron 27 car with the "tigery" stripes).

[Edit] Oops, you were talking about road cars! Those I haven't seen!

Actually, the "road-going" TS020 is/was in Germany, at Toyota Team Europe's headquarters, who were the ones responsible for building the car (and the WRC Corollas, and who now build the F1s).

He was talking about the 99 GT-One that raced at LeMans with the Esso liveries, thats in the Toyota showroom at Odaiba.

The stealth black 787b has become the instant must have for GT4 👍 Black Widow will be a approiate name for this beast 💡

HELL YEAH BRO! *THE ONLY* Japanese car to ever win Le Mans and a rotary engine to boot! Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. All hail the...

BLACK WIDOW 👍

Yeah I know the racing version is in Japan. Didn't know where the road going version was though. Anyway, it's still in my opinion the most revolutionnary car to race le mans.

Live4speed, I though about it after I posted and immediately tought the 787B wouldn't be in the same class as the TS020 or the R390 GT1. Forgot to Edit though :) Guess I forgot about Group C.

I saw the TS020 race at Le Mans in 1999 when it finished second overall. Let me tell you, it is as impressive in action as it looks.

So how easy is it to get 800,000,000 credits by day 696?

easy... just make sure u've unlocked endurance hall before that. and keep doing the Grand Valley 300KM in B-Spec. u win a C9 every time, so with prize money + the car u get around 110,000,000 each time. the race is only about 2hr if u drove it, and only around 40 minutes if u use B-Spec

Yes,
as soon as i´m allowed to upload a 1.5 MByte save file.

Does anyone know if that 7 day window is the only time you can buy these cars or will they come up for sale again? It's just i'd really hate to miss out on a black 787B. Has anyone seen any other cool rare cars in the used car list's?

I have unlocked the 787b, the R92CP, R390 and the little beauty below. Pics of all of the cars in a short while…now to drive them.

Incidentally, the cars were unlocked on the Chinese version at 696 days.

👍 nice pic Samberto

Can you please also give us the specs ?
Does it also unlock them in the arcade mode ?

Thanks
The cars are down around 50 PS in comparison with the standard versions (after oil change.) They are not unlocked in the arcade mode…so hold on to them.

So how much faster is the black 787B? :dopey:

Driving the black versions would be good for test runs, because it would look like you are testing secret aero! But I wouldn't use it in races.
