Ok, to calm the rumors, this a copy of my post to S.A.C. Management.

Right now just relax.
The club has grown more than I expected. You guys share it that success.
Do you guys remember my "You decide" surveys?
I kept them all of them along with PM messages here and on the PS3.
I decided to find a middle ground using the various feedbacks from them. This is where the draw down begins.

The first thing to do is let the club return to its early days. Once a week every Thursday night. Casual Night.

Going to swings is going to happen. So my part will fade away. The fun you guys have shouldn't.
3:00 PM EST to 01:00 AM EST is a rough time to schedule anything. The only nights would be Saturday and Sunday.

So I will delete my club, but leave page 83 alone.
That's for you guys to use in any shape or form. Casual Night special feature? Its up to you guys to use.
We have several folks that like watching our thread and want to use our ideas.
I've asked several race organizers to use their ideas. It's only fair they use ours. That's the relationship I have.

So my tour of duty working later in the day is suppose to last three months. January 11th to March 11th.
We'll see what happens after that.

Hi Fellas,
We need to get a few things cleared up here so I'll see if I can accomplish that. First off, S.A.C. is not going anywhere. We are still here and still moving forward and having fun. There may be some changes coming in the near future but we'll get through it if it does happen. As you guys have seen in previous posts, Tjger may be going to a different shift at work and not able to participate as he has been for a while. That means (as Manny just beat me to the punch I see) that Tjger will not be involved in the endurance races (main events). So Tjgers Endurance Club will be on hold for a bit. With some luck, he will be back to a normal shift and back in racing form before we know it.

I also want to make sure we keep this forum clear of any drama. please save that for PM's although I do think things have gotten much better than how they were at one time.

Then there's one thing that I think is incredibly important. As you guys know, tjger puts these main events together for OUR benefit. I do not get too involved in the main events but when I jumped into a practice session last week that he was running I realized just how much time and effort went into putting these large races together. Honestly I don't know how he does it and still has time to work, sleep, eat, etc. but somehow he does. The reason I say all this is b/c when someone puts that kind of time into something and then people keep asking for changes, it can be very frustrating. we're all adults here (for the most part anyway) so we have all heard the phrase "you can't please everyone". Well this is very appropriate. All the time that goes into getting the perfect balance and testing prior to the club even knowing what is on the horizon and then the info about the race is released and we hear people asking for changes here and there. Granted these are minor. Nobody is on here saying that's no good, lets use a different track or change the HP from 500 to 600, etc. No, nothing drastic but when so much time went into the planning stages and each person has a minor change they want implemented....well you can imagine it hurts. So all I'm really saying with all this finger talking is that I hope everyone can appreciate the amount of time and countless hours that Tjger puts into getting these endurance races together. He will be missed when the swing shift starts but I'm sure he'll be back. He may have to come back even if it means we have to send a petition to his office to get him back on a regular shift:).
An another yet similar note, this same thing also applies to Manny in a way. I have dabbled in the fine art of video editing and in my extremely limited experience have found that it is very time consuming. I just want everyone to really appreciate his efforts also for the incredible videos he puts together that we all enjoy. I know this must eat up considerable amounts of his time also.
Anyway, I think I made my point and please don't take anything I say here as negative. I just want these guys to know how much they're work is appreciated and please keep in mind that when a race is posted (on page 83), that we truly cannot please everyone. We do try, very hard too but it simply isn't possible.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
See you all on the track, although I do not have an entry in tomorrow's DTM re-race.

Sorry to hear the news, and hope i didnt overstep my bounderies on any of my posts?i did do some testing on cars and maybe i should have said nothing but was only trying to help. Tiger thanks for what u do!the one event of urs i ran in was a challenge for sure, and i had a blast! I look forward to its return someday!

I don't know what happen to tjger's work schedule or whatever he got too much blah blah blah PMs from here thus he doesn't feel like to organize anymore endurance/tjger races....

but there's one statement I'll post in here:

The tjger endurance race is the main reason I race in this club...!!!!

Don't get me wrong, I like the causal nights too, those are fun and.... kinda like "fool around" and laugh it out... that's it....

One of the reasons I like this club is because S.A.C. is a very well balanced online club, that said, it has all kinds of races, it covers races in almost any format, from the every Thursday just for fun causal to the once a month main event for serious drivers.

True, the causal nights are fun, we bang around, show off our cars, laugh out for couple hours once a week, chat with our fellows drivers/friends in here....

but.... if that's the case.... why are we having GT-6....?? Why are we having this Driving Simulator..???

We all want to have a taste of the real World racing, that's why...!!!!

That's why we have tires wear, fuel consumption, chassis setup, transmission setup, testing, tires change, pit strategy, learn the track, point series.

That's the fun part about racing: you take the challenge and you learn and you improve and you have fun..!!!

And if you feel ^those are too complicate to you.... fine... you can stick with the every Thursday night causal... just bang aournd and laugh and have fun.

But when someone from the S.A.C. is spending so much time and effort, to offer a chance for us to have a taste of real world racing, to have a chance for us to improve our driving skills, to learn how to setup different cars and tracks and eventually to fill the purpose of having this Gran Turismo Driving Simulator, why should we reject it..???

and... it's only once a month, if you think having a main event once a month is too much, then you can freely opt to setup a room on that night to have causal racing.

I really really like the main events in this club, and I am looking forward to have more of this kind of races in here in the future... beyond March...!!!

Well said boss. I've quoted it here, in case anybody needs to re-read it & take it all in.

Also,
Enjoy your drive.

Ok, lets try this again and hopefully the importance of this post will not be overlooked.

Tonight there will a DTM race. It will be more of a sprint race.

An hour long followed by a preview of mphile77 race with the Lotus Elise.

Next month The Original 500R and Megane Trophy race will be held.

The races in January-March will and can be used by you guys however you guys want.

I won't be able to attend. My work hours will shift to the evening hours.

So this thread can return to it's early days of Casual racing on Thursday nights.

Hopefully starting in April I'll return.

Then the Endurance events will pick back up.

So use this time to brush up on your skills and increase your credits.

DOn't worry. You didn't overstep any boundaries.

how you doing Mallet

Not bad, the injury hasn't cleared up very much but I'm managing to work with painkillers. I was on a job away from home for 3 weeks & now working in my home town. Mrs Mallet is currently on the same job so it's amazing to be able to reunite, she was working away from August to December. It's a fairly constant grind on this job until at least mid-January. I've managed to get to both PS3's this week (St_Bridge44 & M_Mallet_Jr) to install v1.14 but haven't had chance to drive around the track apart from 15 minutes a few nights ago.
I'd forgotten how to drive well though, I felt like a complete beginner!
I might be online at some point on December 25th (Christmas Day).
I'm enjoying keeping up with things on here but feel sad that I can't race with you guys.

Keep smiling everybody! :gtpflag:

:gtpflag:I remember when i join the club and read something on the forum. (TJGER):gtpflag:
Casual night: quick brief (3-5 laps) around the circuit that members vote on. All AIDS available. also mixed in a few special races (ie one make model, one special manufacture, region or karts. that's just a car show, road cars, race cars all together and have fun.
Main events: short races (10 laps) around predefined tracks in effort to replicate a type of series. All AIDS available, like Tour of Japan, Tour on Europe, The Original 500, 5 races around the circuit. Those are for members who interested in a little more seriousness. Races car can be used in main event like Tour of Japan GT300.
Grand events: Those are for the hard core members. They can range from one to two hours in length. they offer taste of what really happens in the real world. they're designed to make you sweat, hold your bodily fluids. most importantly, make you think. how fast can I go on the limits I have? Fuel/tire/car, the competition all must be factored in. They are
intended to make you experience what the BIG boys go through.

Do you want the short (Casual) race. Medium (Main). Or long (Grand) race?
