Well if you have a headache, might want to stay away. Colts is in full spare parts mode tonight.

it's a friday, i'm allowed these moments ;) nah i'm gone so if you dont want to deal with me now is your time.. suddenly everyone shows up.

Haha. You're a good sport about it, and a decent driver to boot. So it's tolerable. We do have a good sized room though.

Just spent the last 13/14hrs in bed, guess you dont realize how sick  ya are when ya get up and go to work everyday and just push through it. Sorry I missed out on the fun last night guys but i dont think i was up much beyond 8pm(light weight :D) Maybe at some point today I will crawl behind the rig and hammer some laps out, f:censored:k being sick!

Enough about my sissy ass, on to the good stuff! The M1-Procar series is now full , i sure hope everyone enjoys it, this series will be a little different this time around because im not allowing any driving aids and tire wear will be cranked up. I pretty sure most of us dont use aids, except for abs, at least thats how i do things. So please make sure you all get a good feel for this car with no abs because if you try and brake late without practice, the guy in front will not be happy with you :banghead:.

Got a serious amount of practice in for the BMW Procar series today! The more i drive it the more i fall in lover with it! Its a driver for sure, she dont just go around the track easily, she demands your attention :D. I sure hope this group gives this thing a go before the series starts, dont just show up and think i got this, no abs is no joke in the rain or the dry for that matter . Im basically hoping guys are prepared so we dont have a huge problem turn one because nobody can stop :banghead: = somebody's race ruined :nervous:

Added- mandatory pits are on, this does not require you to take fuel or tires, but you must at least stop in and say hello to your pit crew. Plan accordingly for your driving styles.

Truth! Go practice these things without ABS guys. Work on braking points and throttle control. This thing is a monster... but feels very rewarding once you can make a few successful laps.

Generally how long is each race supposed to last? And how long does the night last? Just trying to get an idea of how long I will be on the PS4 on race nights.

I will open the room at 7:25pm est for a 1hr qualifying session. Then we have a 5min warm up/pee break/ whatever you can do in 5 min haha. The 1st race will start at 8:30pm est and last about a half hr. Race 2 will be 15min qualifying with a 5min warm up and then the race follows, The 2nd race will also be a half hr.

Oh man... my first go around Sarthe was an interesting one. People REALLY need to practice this one especially... its one thing to lock up in the dry... but if you lock up with this car in the wet... say bye bye to 1/3 of your tread! Even have to be gentle with this car in final bends leading up to the zig-zag... if you lose the car and spin... tread is lost very very quickly.

I think it's gonna be interesting to see pit strategy for this one... seems like whoever can exercise the most patience and be gentle under braking as well as in the turns and preserve those tires will be the one to pit less times and therefore, would be more likely to win.

Looking forward to it

Yeah should be a good one for sure!

finally have chance to turn on the console and did a test at Zolder with the M1...

you guys are right, this M1 is so much fun to drive and you can really push it with the right setup, it's little tricky to setup the brake pressure and bias thus preventing lock up but also make sure there's enough to stop the beast... lol

Another tricky thing is the tire wear, a set of slick can last for about 8-9 laps... and the race is 19 laps...

dang... have to drive in reserve-mode for two stints?

Tonight we start a new series in the BMW M1-Procar :D. This has been a long time goal to get this car into a series, should be a good challenge with the race settings, or you will just plain hate me .

First we will tackle Le Mans in light rain, if you spin it will basically rip the tread from your tires :banghead:.

Second we will visit Zolder in the fog.

I sure hope everyone practiced at some point with our race settings, this is our first series not allowing driver aids, and braking is the one thing that scares me :scared:.

I look forward to seeing everyone tonight, and i will try and keep my mic off, because I constantly cough due to being sick, so you do want to listen to that all night

I got my first laps in last night. Never like Le Mans (just no personality...long straights and a couple bendy areas) but Zolder is fun.

Now the car is fantastic. You really don't get a good feel for it until you try Zolder in the dry with a wheel. I was literally giggling like a little girl in a couple corners. Just a great car.

Le Mans is fine but I don't have much experience there because I hate the track so I have avoided it. Going to be tough finding braking points in traffic with the spray going everywhere. I have basically decided to just take it easy, pretend it's a gentle Sunday drive, and survive. Then go balls out at Zolder :)
