See what happens, i dont think they will rush this out with AC about to release. It would be a poor business decision :confused:, But with that said GT holds all value because it has never been dethroned :bowdown:. Im all aboard the hype train but i think its got a ton of testing to get done, and to be honest i hope they test the 🤬 out of it and supply us with a master piece :eek:. I also think they will be test AC as well to see what the competition has to offer:D. Like i said im all in but trying to remain calm about it :scared:.
 
I know it's only the beta, but I'm fairly certain it'll drop either at this event in London or at E3. So we're probably looking at a little over a month max before we get to play some version of it.

On the note of AC being released, Poly has never really taken notice of competition. They know others exist, but don't really care because the get far more sales than any other racing sim. I honestly think that GT getting released could help AC sales from people being interested in GT and wanting to try another game as well. What it'll do to the actual online userbase is the question though, people will buy it but would they actually play is the question.

Good to hear! I know your chomping at the bit to get on your wheel with the ps4! Im curious to hear how well it all works together? I would also like if you could post up some pics of how it all looks when you have it up and running!

Assetto Corsa and the Project Cars: Game of the Year Edition coming out have ZERO marketing behind them, GT Sport has Sony $$$ and full frontal placement on the PSN and elsewhere. So releasing something when those two come out isn't going to hurt GT a damn.

Yup your so right, GT has all the pull for console gamers! They have more than money, they have a loyal group of guys like us, and many more where that comes from!! Heck it's probably where we all got our feet wet in sim racing, i know I started on GT long ago and then discovered all you knuckle heads when i went online in Gt6 :lol:. I feel im still a rookie because i never went online during the GT5 ages :confused:. I think i missed a big piece of GT history there :banghead:.

Im on tonight if anyone wants to get down on some racing 👍

Assetto Corsa’s Console Release Is Hit with Another Delay

But, I guess there is (sorta) some consolation... The latest pCars DLC has dropped, a Zonda and the Full N24 layout. I've mentioned wanting to do an N24 event for SRM in the past. So I'm starting on that. I'll most likely position it as a Friday Night Shootout, or maybe even a stop gap 1-night Tuesday event between series, seeing as how Tuesdays tend to put butts in the seats.

Well I discovered a car that we never gave much thought in the SRM series category :eek:. This mazda radbull is a straight drift car but can become a miata again :bowdown:. Feast your eyes on this 👍, and get ready to jump on pcars and give it a shot!!!
 
I know you're on right now, I did something with my computer and I need like 10-15 minutes to get going again, not sure what I did but I have been on quite a lot so maybe the adapter needs a cooldown.

Tuning Allowed

Now for the fun part:

3 Competing Classes: GT3 / GT4 / Clio Cup
Any car from those classes you'd like to run, go for it, no restrictions.

Ideally we'd like to have even classes, 5-GT3, 5-GT4, 5-CC and a wild card of +1 to any of those for the 16th person. However, we don't like to have to limit vehicle selection. So just post up and let us know what you plan on driving. If you know what # your livery will be that would be awesome too.
However, before you jump on the GT3 bandwagon consider:
  • Each class will be scored independently, meaning there are a total of NINE Podium positions to be won. Do the math, that's more than half of the lobby finishing on a podium.
  • While not a multi-week series, bragging rights are still as relevant as ever.
  • We're keeping record of all these SRM championships, past and present, weekly and one-nighters, so get your name in lights! Maybe you can get mum to printout the sheet and put it on the ol' ice box.;)
  • GT3 and GT4 were actually quite competitive in testing. A GT4 in the right hands might actually score an overall finish higher than a GT3 Entry.
  • The Clio Cup is a blast, and the race is not quite long enough to become lap traffic lunch for the faster GT Monsters.
A few other notes:
  • Average Lap time for GT3's is around 9:00, GT4 - 9:30, Clio Cup - 10:30
  • Race will run a total time of close to one hour.
  • GT3/GT4 max fuel is 7 laps, so you won't necessarily need gas during your pit.
  • Clip Cup WILL need to take gas at the pit as the max tank is 3.3 laps. You might be able to stretch it out, but this is one track you won't want to run out.
  • While damage is off, it is still possible to damage your headlights, repairing them in the pit is possible. With that said...
  • The rearview mirror is very poor at showing cars behind you when it's dark. So PLEASE BE SURE TO PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR TRACK MAP. We all know there's not a lot of passing areas here, so everyone needs to be extra cautious, especially after the sun goes down.
  • This is a difficult track to qualify for, due to it's length and the number of turns. So it's possible you don't put up a time at all and start behind an overall slower car, if that's the case, be cautious going around at the start and be aware of the other cars in your class that may be in the same predicament.
Post up any questions you might have. The following week we'll start the LMP2 series.

First open-wheel series in the books. Great race everyone! Grats to @Samsung1998race (yeah we're sick of hearing your name too :sly:) on taking the Championship. @GTracerEHTeam had a strong showing with his new wheel and put on the pressha!

Be sure to pick something for the N24 race next Tuesday! LMP2 Series will start the following week. :cheers:
