So much aggression from everyone tonight, you lot need to give some room and take it easy while bunched up, its not a 🤬 competition to see who can shove the most people off the track.
I shouldn't be able to go from 14th to 4th in 5 corners.

Will be looking into the Spa races heavily if there is any protests or people unhappy with other drivers actions, at SRM we dont investigate little bumps and crashes but there has to be consequences to force some of you to behave.
See you lot next week.

A bit of a cluster %uck start to the race its a problem when only one guy from the top three is in one chat and the other two are in the opposite room. I don't know what the answer is for that... but we intuitively did another restart when by the rules we should have just run? It doesn't really matter to me{since the dog ate my homework} but some direction would be cool. I like the rolling start idea...had quite a tussle fighting for the last point ...I yi yi nothing comes easy lol:lol::lol::lol::gtpflag::gtpflag:

I'm looking to join a new series or two and Tuesday is one of my free nights. This looks interesting, but I'm disappointed I missed the first seasons as those are some cars I really like. I'd like to join from here on out. What do I have to do?

Now that I've cooled down enough I'll say my piece, if I had said it last night it surely would have been expletive laden.

First thing, why are so many people trying to stay double wide on the pace lap? You should be trying to keep your tires warm and heat up the brakes, it's kinda hard to do when half the track width contains another car. For this week don't start gridding until the F1 start straight, stay single file until then.

Second, some of us have some ridiculous first corner antics that need serious reigning in. You can't win the race on the first lap but you can surely lose it and royally screw up others. I won't name the name here but in both races at turn 1 I received hits from the same driver. The first race was utterly ruined as can be seen in @robin rancier video above and the second put me in a worse position to get through the turn 2-3 melee.

As much fun as these rolling starts are they tend to get real screwy real fast. I'm not the best at them either and I have been a bit ambitious a few times but it would be nice to have everyone get through the first 2 laps cleanly. So can we please look out for each other and not be completely greedy?

Great video as always. Thank you for sharing!!

The first rolling start was delayed because the last place driver still hadn't entered the chicane as the leader rolled up to the start / finish line.

As for communication, we are limited to what Sony provides. I've suggested using something like Discord to get everyone in the same voice chat, but I can't expect everyone to have a second device and headset handy to get that working.

Glad to have you!

Currently we have a full grid on Tuesdays. We can add you as a reserve driver if that works. If you are around at the time of the race and let us know, there's a good chance you can still get in as not everyone can make every race.

Be sure to add mphile77 on PSN, he tends to be the most regular room host on Series Tuesdays. You can add smcinnis on PSN as I tend to host our casual (ie craziness) Friday rooms.

Cheers.

Yeah get us some friend requests sent and we will add ya! This current series is full, but we only have one more week left. Then we will have a new signup for next series coming up. What we typically do is our current or should i say last series drivers get first crack at rejoining the next series. Someone always misses, or takes a break so im thinking uou can sneak in? So stay current on page one , we will be releasing next series info soon!!!

Attention all:

Ok where to begin on last nights race . We had a bit of unnecessary aggressive driving in the early stages of the races, with that said i also think this situation works both ways. Let me explain, if you want to go door to door into turn one with a guy you dont trust fully, well then this is the stuff that happens. If your smart ya back off fall in and work your way through, the race is not won in the first couple corners.

The aggressive driving needs to be saved for the final laps, or once the grid has spread out! Lets start using our heads a little bit, the fastest guy wont always win with in this group, but people who race smarter will stand a chance in the end. So if it dont feel right, it's probably not :).

Communication problems, with 8 in each chat yes this can be tuff :banghead:, also if you have people who talk through the entire race is a nuff to drive ya mad as well :banghead:. So moving forward lets respect the airwaves once the race has started its race chatter only till race ends, this should hopefully help some đź‘Ť.

Rolling starts, work just fine if our drivers follow the guidelines set by Sam. Let me explain, when we pull out get single file and do your thing. When we hit last section bottle back up get tight and go off the car in front of you! Dont lay back, dont peak out of line trying to jump the field. There should be no passing if this is done correctly! In Robins vid he posted you can see the group is not set, drivers are not against the bumper of the guy in front? If we tighten the group get in position and stop playing games this will go off without any issues, and up till this point we had none .

Practing?????? I dont see this group getting together and running practice rooms like it used to? Its summer i get it, we are busy :D, but with that said some of us try and take this online racing seriously. So if ya decide to practice please post it up on the thread, maybe people will join, and the more we run together the better we get!!! If your on running some practice send invites out if possible, join and open chat sessions for everyone to join, lets work together .

Closing statement, this is the most competitive group ive raced with over the years of doing this! Personalities will clash, i get that, so try and remain calm and use private chats to get things off your chest if it needs to get ugly  lets all start communicating better, working together, practice together, and things will be good. We had a ruff patch once before and we got past it and we were drama free for some time, so lets gets back to the basics and the rest will follow.

Thanks SRM!!!

Well said Mphile valid points. I know I can't expect to be competitive with a couple hours of practise a week, especially in this pack of wolves. So I try the best I can and try and give room as much as I can. I didn't have high expectations lol but I didn't expect to be hammer and tong with four guys over the last point. That should tell you the calibre of the field...all up and down the grid. We have few problems but compared to other leagues I have raced in, where you have an FIA and penalty's or race bans are dealt out. Thanks to the crew for giving us crazies a place to run.:mischievous::mischievous::mischievous::mischievous::gtpflag::gtpflag:

Yeah we have a great group!!! Some guys are hardcore and practice nightly, some practice 1-2 nights a week, some show up and run just that night. I dont mind what people do, I always say family first, home life is most important!!! But i do think if we start seeing invites, or thread posts saying we got a room going, guys might get more excited and start showing up more? I do know pcars has run its course, and when Assetto Corsa show up the crew will be in hyper drive with racing again!!

If you read the rules on page one it clearly says "Even though the cars normally start after La Source we will be starting on the real life Start/Finish line which is the one shown on the map so please form grids on the approach to Blanchimont and be ready to race on the exit of the chicane."

Please read through page one everyone.

What part of the rules say that?

"The leader is in control of when the start happens but he can not go until all cars have made it through the final corner."

As seen in race one, people were busy playing with themselves and had not got to the right position in time, meaning they would have had a jump start from trying to catch up to the pack as quickly as possible, so i made the decision to not accelerate, and it seemed 90% of the people understood (except global lol that guy was off down the road screaming "CYA DINGOOOOO")

This was something i was going to add into the rules but its very hard as Philes account is the owner of the thread and he has to be the one to change stuff or add stuff to posts.

Two-class battle based on the WEC & IMSA Championships. These will all be standing starts, however due the difference in speed, the trick for this series will be managing lap traffic. Everyone must be alert when passing or being passed, stay respectful and realize there will be battles other than your own going on.
